Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed - slept like a log. Good breakfast.
Hotel staff were lovely and very welcoming
As walked to room went through corridors that were lively and hot heating was in as soon as got to our area no heating was cold.. Radiator in room didn't work properly was cold all night.. Daughter complained she is 11
The check in starts at 2pm and when I arrived at 3, the room was freezing cold. I found the heating not working and reported reception. They said the heating only comes on 5pm, what is the point of advertising checking in at 2pm when the room in inhabitable? When we insisted for heating, they said they will turn heating on. But guess what it didn't. We had to leave and look for another hotel where the rooms are warm. They just took money. I don't think it was acceptable. When I arrived, the reception insisted me to fill in all my details in their form despite I have already done that when I booked through booking.com. That was a hint of poor organisation of the hotel operation...
Stayed here for family wedding, staff could not have been more helpful, made the whole of group welcome
Bar closes at 11pm
Helpful staff, checked in at midnight.
Breakfast was awful sorry, 1960s hot plate warmers. Soggy hash browns, poor sausage quality & tinned mushrooms tasteless !!
Breakfast delivered to the room, amazing nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Friendly staff and close to my sons base.
Loud pipes in the toilet
Good location, warm rooms friendly staff
Basic bathroom but functional
My colleague and I arrived at 1 a.m. at the hotel. The reception was closed at this time, but as we stated that we will arrive around this time, we could find our room keys in an envelope with our names written on it at the Reception. Wifi was good and breakfast was ok.
The carpet in the room was pretty used and the floor was not very even. My colleague, who slept in the room exactly under mine, told me that he heard all my movements in my room.
The room was very comfortable, the staff were pleasant, and the food in the bar was good.
The corridor between reception and my room seemed a bit dismal and cold, and matched the weather outside.
Comfy clean hotel. Good value for money.
The cleanliness of the room.
The carpets and wall paper and general decor are worn, peeling and dated. The buffet breakfast is so mediocre I settled for toast and a glass of poor quality concentrated orange juice only.
adequate for my needs
Breakfast is good
Bedrooms could do with refurbish
Haven't stayed this year. New wifi great news. (bit of a fiddle to sign on, but worth the effort.) Facilties. Average, but what is needed for a quick overnight. Had a bar meal, basic steak and chips was served quickly and good. Room, average but fine. (too few power sockets)Bath powerful show - great... Bed, in a single, was rock like...But survivable. Staff, seem to have changed since my last visit, all very friendly and helpful. Had planned to go to another hotel on my second night. I didn't. It was fine here.
Nothing to mention.
premises not remotely wheelchair accessible for someone like myself, despite being advertised as such. no access to reception, bar or dining room. room service was offered. good last resort if no other option available.
Very helpful staff and very good value for money
Extra lighting needed on entranceway
Everything, stay there frequently
Very friendly and welcoming staff and excellent accommodation and catering. Amazing woodland setting.
VERY HARD to find in the dark - but well worth it when you DO! It certainly seems to need better signage, both in the town and especially when you find yourself, surprisingly, in a beautiful heavily wooded country lane.
Breakfast room was dirty and smelled.
Friendly staff. Room reasonably comfortable and good breakfast included in price so OK VFM but for a one night stay only.
No restaurant. Very thin bedroom walls so every little noise overheard - did not make for a good night's sleep.
Rooms No heating No evening restaurant
Value for money, staff and rooms.
The evening dining arrangements where not up to much. You have to eat in a small bar and not always everything on the menu available. When you have travelled any distance all day you need a decent evening meal and the location of the hotel is not that convenient to eat elsewhere.
A good stop over for the money and one of the best breakfasts I've had at a motel style hotel in fact fantastic, the rooms may be a little dated but they are clean and comfortable and all you need when travelling. The staff were very polite and helpful and looked after our needs, all in all I would recommend this for a stop over stay.
The bar closed too early but I guess the batman has to get some sleep as he doubles as a waiter at breakfast.
Staff were excellent, very helpful, providing maps and directions. Very attentive around the hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good and the evening meals were good too. Clean, quiet and comfortable.
It was a very nice hotel with only one small negative. I had the window open, as it was quite warm, and could smell cigarette smoke from people smoking outside.
