A very reasonable low cost no frills hotel on the way to the West Country. The manager was friendly and extremely helpful and pointed out where we could eat in the town that evening. I think the restaurant doesnt really function in the evenings.

My husband and l stay here whenever we are in Andover visiting family. The staff are always friendly and the rooms good value. The Travel Inn in Andover has priced itself out of the market for us now, especially if you add the cost of breakfast on and the two town centre hotels are really noisy on a Saturday night. This Quality Hotel is within walking distance of the town yet in a countrified position with plenty of safe, free parking.

The room above room 106 - the floorboards are very Squeaky, the person staying above got up at 5.40 and was walking about all morning (over an hour), hence waking me up. I thought I might as well get up to get a shower. No lights working!!!!!! – They did come on at 7.10. I did complain about the noise from the floorboards above room 106, the receptionist told me that they have had complaints before about the excessive noise, but then went on to tell me that it was someone from our group !!! – THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. (The person from our group did get up early, and was looking for a trip switch or fuse box as the lights were not working). All in all, it’s the worst night I have ever had in a hotel, shame about the internal noise, as the location is very quiet.

The heating was obviously on a timer and not warm enough in my room at night. Was quite cold in bed.

The staff are very nice, polite and friendly. And the room although old is very clean. The only bad thing about my stay was the room temp, it was uncomfortably warm.

I thought that the hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Location was in a pleasant setting but near to town, which was great for our needs. Plenty of car parking and rooms were basic but well heated. Ideal for a single night stop over. I thought that the hotel room looked a little bit tired and dated - would have preferred a duvet rather than a blanket on the bed as I have asthma and allergic to blankets - so had to remove this before I slept. There were some tiles off wall in bathroom but shower and bath was ok and plenty of hot water. In this day and age Freeview TV would have been an advantage - especially to visitors with children.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We were inpressed with the standard of cleanliness of the room and the friendliness/helpfulness of the reception staff and waiters. We were disapponted to find that we were unable to obtain a full evening meal in the retaurant - I assume that this was because the beginning of October is "out of season" or the low number of guests. Unfortunately, on the evening of 1 October we could not even obtain a bar snack because the chef had not reported for duty. Shades of Fawlty Towers!

Hotel location in central Andover was good, car park free and many parking spaces available. The room was comfortable but was tired as could do with decorating and ripped carpet renewing. Only one curtain over the window which barely fitted. Communal areas were beter and newly decorated. Breakfast was very good and staff on duty helpful and polite

Spacious clean and comfy room. Restaurant was not open in the evening for meals. Bar meals available, quite pricey and bar area was very small. Bar area in need of updating and rooms and bathroom also in need of refurbishment.

Friendly and helpful staff, good value for money. The single room I had was clean and of a good size.Breakfast was great. All in all a good stay, thanks. Turning up mid afternoon, there were no available food to be had due to the timings of the bar/restaurant. Had to go into town which was a shame as I had just driven 300 miles!
