Excellent location - best in the town / fantastic views . Breakfast nicely cooked.
After booking almost 3 months in advance- we weren't expected - luckily a room was available. We weren't there on a late night music night but the noise from the bar was still quite loud after 23.00. If you need the loo and another guest is in the shared bathroom - you have to wait!
The bedrooms are just above the pub. The pub is on the front sea with the sunset face, it is on night a very nice scenery.
Everything about this place was fantastic! Wonderful location, friendly and welcoming staff, would highly recommend to others.
The smell of fatty cooking, it was dirty, The noise from the bar went on until 1.30 am and we could here what people were saying.
Location Location Location
I thought the live music was a bit unnecessary I suspect it puts a lot of people off. The Anglesey has such an awesome site next to the harbor and castle more clients will come, and return, if there was better customer focus - I think the place needs to focus on all aspects of service delivery, particularly customer service.
Location. Comfortable beds. Friendly pub and nice food.
Shared Bathroom (Shower should be seperate to WC if we have to share)
location brilliant overlooking the harbour. food very good. staff very pleasant friendly atmosphere.
Location is fantastic
location the pub the view
Location, second to none.
Dirty, neglected accommodation and guest facilities. Requires a major makeover. Pub.....could be a classic harbourside family pub.......but it's a glorified student/kids drinking hole.
Shared bathroom noise all night dirty carpets staff using our bathroom kitchen adjacent to our room very poor room dodgy tv set up
DJ playing until past midnight (no warning) Terrible food Damp smell - towels, sheet
location and the friendliness of the staff . Breakfast
could get a little noisy on music nights
The location is great. It's on the water and next to the castle.
Dirty carpet. Moldy shared (!!) bathroom. Breakfast included. First morning the door to bar/breakfast area was open. The second morning it was locked and we had to eat elsewhere. When I saw the waitperson later, she said she forgot to unlock the door, but it didn't look like anyone was inside. If you don't mind dirty, loud (from live and amplified music) accommodations, then this place is for you. Sad since it's a great location. Needs major remodeling.
We felt ignored by indifferent staff when we initially tried to book in and again later on at the bar when trying to order drinks. Locals got served first. Room smelt of wet dog, carpets were filthy. When we asked for extra pillows we were told none were available. The quoted breakfast times varied depending on who you asked or worst case, when ever the chef turned up! Very poor overall.
Geoff the manager is really helpful and friendly. It was a busy weekend for the staff as there was a bit of a festival vibe and love music going on but they were all very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was ok and is included which is great. It fueled us up Snowdon but wasn/t the best I have ever had, BUT for a free breakfast it was pretty good. Overall it's great value for money. We have a room for 4 people and it was about half price compared to getting 2 doubles instead. I'd stay there again.
Bit stingy on the beans at breakfast and the tomato had barely been grilled at all! Bathroom is ok, but the shower looks like it's about 70 years old and has seen better days -could do with a refurb to be honest.
Lovely location next to the castle and the waterfront, and lovely spacious rooms. The full English breakfast was very good, but you might have to wait up to half an hour - the meal came quicker on the 2nd day.
The pub is noisy til about midnight Sunday and Monday - could be until 1am on Saturdays and big sporting events! Old wooden floorboards which are noisy when the staff are walking across the corridor. Bring your earplugs if you're not a night owl. There is only one bathroom for the 3 rooms, which are for up to 9 people - be prepared for a wait for the bathroom if the B&B is full.
It was very pleasant, lovely welsh pub in a lovely welsh town. Great atmosphere and great nightlife, would definitely recommend the Anglesey arms.
Right at castle wall and also Barbour front
Noisy at night if you have the room over the beer garden as we did
Location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and good beer. Also the amazing sunset viewed from the front of the building.
location on the water next to the castle was magic. bed was comfortable, breakfast was good.staff were helpful.
was noisy at night due to pub customers and music. share bathroom was a disadvantage we were willing to accept
Location and views. Nearness to the Castle and town. Great potential!
Bathroom facilites - shared by too many. Corridor carpets ingrained with dirt.
The room was quite large. Good location. Good breakfast.
Shared bathroom - had to wait to use it. Noisy band playing. Didn't realise until too late to cancel
Location excellent ,staff excellent. Price excellent
Good location, castle and town centre on doorstep Great views
