The location beside the Menai Straits The Bed was very comfortable The cooked breakfast was good

Dirty carpets in residents area Grubby carpet in the bedroom Wailing of the busking singers outside, although it did stop before 11.00pm No offer of cereals or fruit juice with breakfast. When we asked about reserving a table for evening meal the response was "You want to eat in?, you don't have to" - we didn't

Location, parking, hearty breakfast. We stayed while attending a wedding reception nearby so it was fine for that, perhaps not if you're looking for a b&b for e.g. a romantic weekend. Even if you don't stay, the Anglesey Arms is definitely worth a visit if you're in Caernarfon because of the amazing views over towards Anglesey. Hope you get a lovely sunset!

It's a bit basic but overall it was fine. Our room was next to the kitchen so the extractor fan was a bit of a bother but for what we needed for our stay, it was spot on.

Excellent location - best in the town / fantastic views . Breakfast nicely cooked.

After booking almost 3 months in advance- we weren't expected - luckily a room was available. We weren't there on a late night music night but the noise from the bar was still quite loud after 23.00. If you need the loo and another guest is in the shared bathroom - you have to wait!

The bedrooms are just above the pub. The pub is on the front sea with the sunset face, it is on night a very nice scenery.

    Location Location Location

I thought the live music was a bit unnecessary I suspect it puts a lot of people off. The Anglesey has such an awesome site next to the harbor and castle more clients will come, and return, if there was better customer focus - I think the place needs to focus on all aspects of service delivery, particularly customer service.

Nice large room which was clean and tidy. Great location.

The night we arrived there was a "rave" going on right outside our room. Although it was mentioned on their website there could be music "occasionally", be warned, there is no sleep to be had if there is. Very loud music until 1.30am. Parking and Wifi were promised. Wifi was non existent. Parking was provided only when I pointed out they advertised it as being available. Pub meal was very basic and not that great. No ensuite (which we knew) but shared facilities not very clean and tidy. Had to walk through rave with suitcases to get to room up stairs and everytime we came or went had to walk through hoards of people again. Common areas not very clean and wires and rubbish lying about in corridor.

A great location for 2 nights, bed & breakfast, our aim was to walk up Snowdon, which we did after the first night and a lovely English breakfast to send us on our way. Glad we booked this accommodation as we were delighted with it being next to the castle and some beautiful scenery . Very nice welcome from all the staff and enjoyed having the evening meals on both evenings. It made a nice change staying in a pub rather than a hotel. Diolch yn fawr i gyd. Also enjoyed speaking a bit of cymraeg to the staff and locals.

We had a shared bathroom and shower which we knew about when making the booking. The only trouble was that during the night other people were using the toilet which made it a little awkward.

    Location, second to none.

Dirty, neglected accommodation and guest facilities. Requires a major makeover. Pub.....could be a classic harbourside family pub.......but it's a glorified student/kids drinking hole.

The location is great. It's on the water and next to the castle.

Dirty carpet. Moldy shared (!!) bathroom. Breakfast included. First morning the door to bar/breakfast area was open. The second morning it was locked and we had to eat elsewhere. When I saw the waitperson later, she said she forgot to unlock the door, but it didn't look like anyone was inside. If you don't mind dirty, loud (from live and amplified music) accommodations, then this place is for you. Sad since it's a great location. Needs major remodeling.

    Location

We felt ignored by indifferent staff when we initially tried to book in and again later on at the bar when trying to order drinks. Locals got served first. Room smelt of wet dog, carpets were filthy. When we asked for extra pillows we were told none were available. The quoted breakfast times varied depending on who you asked or worst case, when ever the chef turned up! Very poor overall.

Geoff the manager is really helpful and friendly. It was a busy weekend for the staff as there was a bit of a festival vibe and love music going on but they were all very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was ok and is included which is great. It fueled us up Snowdon but wasn/t the best I have ever had, BUT for a free breakfast it was pretty good. Overall it's great value for money. We have a room for 4 people and it was about half price compared to getting 2 doubles instead. I'd stay there again.

Bit stingy on the beans at breakfast and the tomato had barely been grilled at all! Bathroom is ok, but the shower looks like it's about 70 years old and has seen better days -could do with a refurb to be honest.

Lovely location next to the castle and the waterfront, and lovely spacious rooms. The full English breakfast was very good, but you might have to wait up to half an hour - the meal came quicker on the 2nd day.

The pub is noisy til about midnight Sunday and Monday - could be until 1am on Saturdays and big sporting events! Old wooden floorboards which are noisy when the staff are walking across the corridor. Bring your earplugs if you're not a night owl. There is only one bathroom for the 3 rooms, which are for up to 9 people - be prepared for a wait for the bathroom if the B&B is full.
