Rooms very clean and comfortable. No road noise. Staff friendly and breakfast nice.
Best pet friendliness I have come across in a hotel. Not only were we made to feel very welcome with the dog, the staff arranged for a seperate breakfast table so our Westie could sit with us away from other guests. Fab breakfast and staff very welcoming. Room spacious, proper bed for my 12 year old rather than camp bed and clean.
Slight traffic noise but not surprising given the location.
Location is good for some of the best eating places on the Isle of Anglsey. The staff are top notch, they can't do enough for you. The food was very good in the hotel/pub, especially there pies and you cannot ignore they are in a beautiful position overlooking the Menia Straits.
The small twin bedded room. One of the beds was really dreadful. Very bad back for me and my husband who changed with me on the second night. The bathroom was starting show wear. The shelf was missing and also the correct plug for the sink, it wouldn't keep the water in and was very difficult to remove. Can anyone tell me why twin rooms are very rarely deluxe just two beds squashed into the smallest of the rooms?
Location Historical Site Lovely Room Clean Homely
Good busy bar, food ok rooms very good
Menu could be better and more choice of red wine
Without exception, the staff were excellent. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The food at dinner and breakfast was of a very good standard.
Only one slight criticism. The mattress was far too soft and a bit lumpy for our liking.
The staff couldn't do enough for you. The atmosphere in the pub was nice and lively. The food in the resturant was very good, smashing pies, at a reasonable price. Ground coffee in the room a very nice touch.
One of the beds in our twin room, the next one next to the window was very uncomfortable. Neither my husband or myself slept well on it. Think all the springs had given up. The bathroom was looking shabby. Shelf not replaced, sink plug broken and paint flaking on the bath.
Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Good beer and reasonable prices.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good too.Would stay there again.
Would have liked a lift as problem with knees but managed to use the stairs.
We both enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would highly recommend this to any visitors to the region. The room was to an excellent standard and the staff made us feel very welcome. Both breakfast and evening meal were fantastic. There are even red squirrels to be seen in the grounds if you are lucky.
Large car park. free . Bed was comfy.Food was delicious.
The room was lovely, well decorated and clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
Rooms are lovely. Well decorated big bathroom. Great location for touring round anglesey and north wales abof if like us you have a son/daughter studying in bangor
Only stayed 1 night on this occasion so didn't really get to relax and enjot
Food was very good
Only stairs no lift
Everything was great will definitely be going back
friendly staff, good food, relaxed atmosphere, nice room,
I was amazed at how nice the room was, I had a lovely stay and would come back anytime!
They provide a cafetiere and freshly ground coffee in the rooms. The breakfast is excellent and cooked to order.
It is very hot in the upstairs rooms, however, there is a window so this can be rectified.
The heating in the room was to hot unable to turn it down or off.
Great location. Modern look and good food.
Noise on the friday and Saturday from the function room, our bedroom was directly above.
Modern décor Good quality food
Big gap under door meant light and noise from busy pub downstairs flooded in (until about 1am) Some staff not so helpful
Excellent food cheerfully served
The stairs! It would be helpful if we had been warned that there was no lift and we were on the second floor
