room décor and great breakfast
Just about everything - from the friendly welcome and being shown to my comfortable and warm twin bedded room. The cooperation of the staff in responding to my requests for assistance could not have been better - they even helped me check in on line for my flight the following day - and printed out my boarding pass. After a big breakfast and equally large late luncheon I was not up to a dinner so asked if thet would provide me with some sandwiches later that eveing - yes was the prompt reply and the sandwiches fitted the bill.
Would have preferred a bath to my shower and for the life of me don't understand why they do not provide any nuts, crisps or nibbles in the Bar
The hotel staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. The room was lovely and the bathroom was amazing with a jacuzzi tub. The restaurant was pleasant and the food was delicious - the Sea Bass was particularly good.
Unfortunately during our visit, there was no hot water or heating which we weren't informed of when we arrived - this was rectified late into the night and the staff were extremely helpful around this. Sadly the bathroom wasn't as clean as I had hoped, and there was mould on the bottom of the net curtains from condensation from the patio door. Our morning lay in was disrupted when a cleaner knocked on our door at 8am despite our "do not disturb" hanger being on the handle outside. It was then disrupted again when the caretaker outside our patio door decided to hose down the door and the area directly outside our room at 9am.
lovely hotel and staff,great shower
the resturant is closed on a sunday night .were not told this until we arrived.but the lovely lady on the desk booked a table for us at the local pub,had anice meal.
the staff! the food! the ambience!
the bar closes too early and it could be a bit cosier in there with a fire and some music. maybe review its layout and decor but nothing dreadful about it
Lovely dining area Very nice evening meal and breakfast Quirky building Staff all friendly Good value for money
4 poster room tired and dated furniture and decor - but clean and pleasant for a 1 night stay - not particularly romantic Shower either boiling or freezing kept changing randomly no thermostat to control it
The hotel was quant but with modern facilities good pool. Rooms a good size, quiet and food was good
The shower rail and part of the fixture were broken in my room. When I mentioned this on checkout no apology nor offer of reduction was made, but I was told an engineer would be called.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly and close to where I needed to visit.
I found the bedroom too warm through the night, once I opened the windows and it cooled down I had a wonderful nights sleep.
Quiet, clean, quite large room. Good food, though vegetarian option not changed daily. Friendly staff.
Room over-hot and poorly lit - hard to read anywhere in the room. Some minor repairs needed, eg window that would not close.
Food in the evening was good but small portions for price.
Initially ran out of sausages for breakfast. Had to ring for WiFi code. WiFi was slow. Service was sporadic.
Great restaurant - well-cooked, high quality dinner; good wifi, good shower, quiet at night.
Everything was good
Bedrooms etc. need refurbishment.
The staff were always helpful and the whole ambience was very friendly. Food served for a lunch party was excellent as was the cooked breakfast.
Stayed twice and plan to stay again wonderful
Found the rooms too hot at night but that is only minor
the hotel was great the view was wonderful
shower is a little bit poor and there was nothing open after 10 soooo straving during the night
bath size four-poster ambiance garden
breakfast was very basic for an expensive, classy hotel water in huge bathtub would suddenly start to empty making the jacuzzi jets spray into one's face and then stop altogether
There was only one girl taking order/serving / and clearing tabled. She done an excellent job and was very cheery
Attractive building and rooms Friendly and helpful staff On-site parking Great hotel restaurant
Room 203 was a bit cold WiFi signal in room was very weak
Staff friendly, good breakfast
Room and bathroom a little cold
We really liked the building and the decor, and the bed was really comfy. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was very tasty, and there was lots of choice. The village is pretty, and worth visiting. The hotel is on the 'High Street', but the name may be because it's higher up than the rest of the village, not because it's a main street. Consequently, it's nice and quiet there, but the road doesn't look like the right one when you turn into it.
We had one of the cheap rooms at the back, and there was a bit of noise from a fan that I think was something to do with the kitchens, but we asked about it and the staff made sure that it was turned off just after 9pm, and after that all was quiet.
THE BATH IS SOMETHING ELSE
The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was like stepping into santas grotto, it was tastefully decorated to suit the hotel, Staff were very friendly. Nice gardens and pool. Would stay again.....
The menu was a little limited and the drinks were expensive.
where able to check in early as we requested . beautiful breakfast
wanted something small to eat like a soup and roll. only full meal available
