We stayed in the cottage which was lovely , with private parking fir the motorbike . The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome .breakfast was served in the B+B just around the corner in a very small but comfortable dining room, the food was excellent . There are several pubs nearby that all served great meals. Would definitely stay again.

Hawkshead as a location is brilliant with 4 pub/restaurants and a range of shops for most needs. Hawkshead is ideally situated for the main lakes but Tarn How's was our favourite location. Staff really nice, helpful and friendly

Rooms now getting a bit dated but the location is lovely

very convenient and breakfast was superb

didn,t affect our stay but the houses are of a certain period and perhaps a refurbish would be good but I have a feeling it would change the nature of the place if they were overly "done up"

Has the true feel of a traditional English B&B. The food is really excellent!! The family have a wonderful dry sense of humour.

Little things like... on arrival, only half a loo roll... no shower gel, shampoo etc... no hair drier... a bulb which didn't work... decor a bit jaded in the room.

Johnny and his wife made us feel so welcome and could not do more to settle us in. The property is perfectly situated and the room was very comfortable and very well appointed. My wife and I found it ideal for a romantic break. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The landlady was very friendly and welcoming, and offered helpful suggestions and information. The breakfast was excellent, and the atmosphere of the B&B as a whole warm and welcoming. The wifi was fast and reliable, the bath and shower great, and the beds comfortable.

No heating on upon arrival room cold and damp gloomy and poorly lit. Bathroom cold spartan doesnt reflect monies paid. It transpired at when I booked online the owner to a deposit at that point its advertised at no fees to be taken at time of booking very very unhappy with this false advertising..
