Very friendly and helpful staff

welcoming staff-very comfortable room-food was of a high standard and value for money

Loved the welcome from young and enthusiastic staff. Breakfast was great with good options. Neat & clean bedroom with plentiful tea & coffee supplies. Pleasant warm & welcoming public areas.

Not too comfy in 2'6" beds -being used to a super king size at home! Wi-fi not available in bedroom.

Bed very comfortable, though very narrow. Shower very good. Location and parking.

Wardrobe in bathroom. Very little storage space- would have found it difficult if staying for more than a couple of days. Prefer to see choice of cereal,etc. at breakfast- i.e. buffet, then ordering cooked food.

I selected the hotel for its food reputation - and it proved to be excellent and extremely good value. Weather was near freezing but the large lounge was a warm delight . Only staff we met were young gentlemen who were all very professional and courteous.

Our bedroom was VERY cold when we arrived in late afternoon but did warm up and was very well appointed.

The Hotel did not appear to be over busy but our room seemed a long way from reception and restaurant/bar.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food (we ate in the Bar after arrival) and there was plenty of choice for us. Room had been recently decorated and was clean and light - had a good night's sleep before heading further north to Scotland. Breakfast was also excellent by the way. Only complaint was our room was so cold on arrival and took ages to warm up.

It was comfy and hospitable and the staff were ver pleasant.

We waited almost 45 minutes for our starter and there was no apparent resonator this! However the food was very good when it did arrive!

Great location and the hotel has a real historical feel to it. Staff are always really friendly and attentive. The breakfasts are to die for - you will not get a better full Scottish breakfast anywhere!

We liked everything about the Hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful and friendly ; the accommodation was modern, comfortable and most satisfactory ; the food was splendid, good choice and attractively served All in all, it was an excellent experience.

A very enjoyable stay. The staff especially the manager was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. We only stayed one night as it was a stopover on the way to the highlands of Scotland, but we would definately return to the Annadale Arms. Both the evening meal and following breakfast were very good. If you are a walker it would be a great base for a stay in the Scottish borders.

It was friendly from the moment we arrived till we left, the employees has such nice manner's, the Manageress Elaine always had time to speak to you and ask if everything was ok, Dining Room food and service was excellent. We would certainly return.

A three star hotel with a tarrif that is sometimes linked to four star hotels, but we were not dissappointed. The hotel was well furnished, well appointed within Moffat and proved to be very good value for money. The three star status might be due to the lack of a lift to our part of the hotel. The stairs and long corridors might be challenging to more mature people. A wonderful "full Scottish breakfast" was prepared the next morning.

Coming down for breakfast must have coincided with the staff tea-break as there were several sitting on the floor in a lobby. It was a pity we had to detour around them to make progress to the breakfast/dining room.
