Rooms were small but cosy and kept clean and tidy
No elevators. Bags had to be carried to 3rd floor. Wifi kept dropping and staff were new and not knowledgeable about the area.
The location and staff we're friendly
The room, the cleanliness, the shower might as well have been a dripping tap!!!
TARIQ, the young receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and helpful . He was too glad to assist us a couple over 78 years of age . The host at the breakfast room .. tall and non-white in complexion was very good and attentive .
not having Banana at breakfast . Room was not cool enough so a table/pedestal fan would provide comfort as the window hardly opened for cool breeze from outside .
Clean Breakfast WiFi Personel very helpful
noisy road, ask for a room that's on the backside
Room was comfortable breakfast great location great bus stop and tube nearby
Carpet on stairs and hallway is a bit of putting
The bed was okay.
Was on the top floor no lift. Room was small couldn't for round the bed. Toliet down stairs had loads of flies stuck on the ceil. Had to wait 10 minutes to get checked in. The breakfast was poor. Was up at 7. Defaintly wouldn't recommend this hotel
the linen and towels were great as was the breakfast and breakfast staff.
no wifi in room most of the time and no lift for heavy luggage..no-one to help
Steep stairs with no lift to 5th floor. Staff breaking handle off suitcase.
Location was very good for where we wanted to be . Not to far from tube station. Nice and friendly staff.
Bed to near the ground. too many steep stairs. noisy extraction fan in bathroom.
Staff were very friendly. Good location for a show at Union Chapel, Highbury. Nice decor in some parts, and room was reasonably clean.
Single bed that wasn't much more than a camp bed. Very uncomfortable. Broken shower head holder, broken tiles. Thread bare carpets in corridors. Just tired looking. I think it must have changed hands since they made their initial website. No fruit or slippers, which is no biggie, but that's what was advertised. Definitely not worth £75 for a single, even in London. Not horrific, but I'd look for somewhere a bit better next time.
We enjoyed the breakfast and tea facilities in the room, however we were not given fruit basket upon arrival as promised.
The hotel is situated on a noisy main road, therefore making it hard to sleep especially early mornings. It was very hot in the rooms and the hotel was not equipped for the heat - they did not offer fans as a solution. On one occasion there wasn't any hot water in the shower. They fixed it later that day but we couldn't take our morning showers.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast available from 7.30 to 10.30am. Upgraded to a larger family room after hotel had tried to late cancel our reservation.
No electric fan available during very hot nights. Open windows only option but traffic, police sirens and pelican crossing noise all night. No cold drinking water supplied - had to buy chilled bottled water from local shop. No bar facilities in hotel.
Good Continental breakfast provided! Spotless bedroom! A basket of fruit and a bottle of still water to welcome for me! Ample buses very close-by to Trafalgar Square and also to three main rail stations
No qualms at all
Hotel was clean and the room comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. Great location, close to all transport.
Room was a quite noisy although the window was open due to the heat. The stairs were a little awkward when carrying bags but not too bad
Decor of bedroom was ok
I don't usually give bad reviews but I highly recommend you do not go to this hotel! I arrived late and was directed to my room up the fire escape which had planks of wood (obviously the work area) was extremely unsafe! Got into my room and the decor at a first glance was OK but the finish wasn't good - but I'm not living there! The bathroom was horrific! It smelled terrible like it had been cleaned with filthy water and apparently they had just cleaned it!!! I felt dirtier after having a shower in there. The bed was broken and was propped up against the wall to keep it up. I informed the manager on the first night of this and the bed apparently was fixed but it was exactly the same I was tempted to leave and stay some where else!!! Do not stay here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The room was very clean, bedding was good quality. The continental breakfast was also very good with a range of food available to choose from. The staff where VERY helpful, smiley and pleasant.
The room was very hot and you could only open the window a little bit presumably for security. The heat was however out of the hotels control !!! I didn't get the promised "basket of fruit" in my room. !!
Location is excellent - 2 minutes to Picadilly Line, one station away from Kings Cross. Direct link to Heathrow. Rooms small and a bit worn, but furnished with love and clean. Hairdryer and coffee making facilities in the room. 24 hour reception. Ample continental breakfast buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite nice pub around the corner.
We had rooms on the first floor heading to the side road. The traffic noise from the main road was quite loud, especially the daily sirens of police and ambulance in the mornings. Earplugs strongly recommended. Friends on the fourth floor were not disturbed that much.
Staff were friendly Breakfast was okay Location was good
Too noisy with traffic and with heat Cracked tiles in bathroom Too many floors to carry up case with no lift
I didn't like anything.
We stayed on the 4th floor in a small attic room with very ventilation only a window to open. We felt the accommodation was cramped and poor value for money. The complimentary fruit basket was poor consisting of two apples and an orange. The place really needs updating as there was things lying around everywhere. Location was poor too, noisy right near the prison and traffic never stopped.
Stylish and pleasant. Staff were helpful, efficient and unobtrusive. Rooms were nicely prepared and comfortable. Lovely soft towels. nice teas and fruit available. Water provided. Plates as well as cups. Shampoo etc provided. Nice colour co-ordination. good room size. TV with all channels. Nice furniture.
Roads a bit noisy. The bedding under the linen was not completely as fresh as I would ideally like. The bed was not as firm as I prefer.
Great location, pleasant staff, clean room.
Noisy, but it is London after all :)
Breakfast was good
No lift on 3rd floor at over 70years was too much
The bar underneath the hotel and also the continental breakfast was very good. The staff were excellent. Good value for money. Close to tube.
All the stairs especially when you are on the top floor and have to lug a case up them.
The staff were very helpful and the room was nicely decorated.
The room was a little dusty. The breakfast did not really live up to the description.
Very good value for money clean and very nice staff who accommodated me when I had booked the wrong date.
Lack if wifi
