Room was clean and I liked the decor, and the variety of teas in the room
Not a huge issue but the floorboards were quite squeaky
staff was nice and easy to deal with. breakfast very limited but good enough too.
However, we saw mice in our room and the room had a smell. Instead of double bad & one single, we got three singles. we ticked the 'silent room' option when booking and got a room in the corner and listened for cars and other sounds outside throughout the night (ok, not that bad, but still)... we moved out after first night, all our nightwear and other things still smelled bad when we took out them at another hotel. At last, it wasn't possible to pay with credit card at the time we were leaving. We tried multiple cards and they promised to charge one particular card later, when their phone service is fixed. and they charged different credit card without even asking us... I am happy we were able to find five start hotel just for a bit higher price. Never ever coming back to this hotel.
Bed too low to the ground. Space limited. No lift a major problem. Location.
This hotel was clean but the carpets on the stairs are a little thead bare in places, generally not bad
I asked for a single room with a bath because I am an amputee and not up lots of stairs they gave me a second floor room with a shower and the toilet so tight you could not actually use comfortably ,the tv was so high on the wall you had to lay on the bed to watch it also the room was very niosey from the road also only continental breakfast on offer . As I had finished what I had to do early I only needed the room thankfully for one night but got no refund for the second night because they charged me before my stay had come to an end not good wouldn`t use this hotel again
Breakfast was nice and lady working in dining room was very pleasant
Steep stairs , no lift , our bed was broken wallpaper ripped
Corridors smelt of fish and there was no elevator.
Friendly. Lovely looking bedroom.
Dirty sheet. Poor shower facilities.
shower leaked and no hot water in the morning, room to hot could not turn off radiator staff didnt seem to care.
Easy walk from tube. Clean with friendly staff
Being on 4th floor and no lift but we were aware of this and once you get your breath back its fine!!!
Hotel overall fairly well presented, room had fairly modern decor, receptionist was well mannered. Tea and coffee facilities were adequate. Very close to underground line to Kings Cross. More suited for overnight stay only rather than weekend/holiday stay.
A mouse was in our room due to poor maintenance of the floor and skirting boards - I saw the mouse run down from where the tea and coffee where the mouse had eaten through the sugar sachets. The bed was very uncomfortable, shower and bathroom needs re-grouting and didnt really work adequately. Corridor leading to the room carpet needs laying properly. Was not easy to find, as we thought hotel was on main road but actually is behind a pub down a side road.
price friendliness breakfast
The location was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were in a triple room which was quite large and there was tea and coffee in the room and also a fruit basket, which was a nice touch. Excellent value for money. Would recommend if needed somewhere cheap to stay in central London for one or 2 nights.
The floor sloped slightly and one of the beds was quite squeaky. We went down to breakfast about 20 minutes before it finished, and there was only a table for 2 available (there were 3 of us) and there wasn't a great deal of food left, but what we had was fine.
The decor and cleanliness of the room was excellent and the location was great - right next to Caledonian Road tube station and the overground station just a short walk away. Day staff were brilliant and friendly.
Night staff were impatient and complained when we returned after a night out. The single beds were uncomfortable and the ceiling light did not work properly.
The whole hotel is like a dream palace
The hotel is fantastic
Breakfast was good staff good as well hotel looks OK from the front
the place feels like the stairs need a good clean the carpets are threadbare and a long walk to your room and the whole place needs a coat of paint, and lighting poor. The address is wrong its not on Caledonia rd, its Brewery rd so could not find the place to start with, and when your work at 0800hrs the next day the breakfast should no later that 7 o'clock not 7.30 sorry for being a little negative
Friendliness of staff Flexibility with checking in Décor/ ambiance of breakfast room
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was a great location to reach the emirates stadium
The hotel is right across from a police station and jail and the noise from outside was ridiculous! the hair dryer provided was like a kids toy! Deffo bring your own and also the hotel was very basic
Good value for money.
It was clean
Up three flights of stairs. Mattress is well worn and needs replacing, didn't sleep at all.
Pleasant staff good choice for breakfast, tube station nearby so can get to any destination you want to be.
Very friendly helpful staff. Good sized, pleasant, clean & well-appointed room. Everything in place including fluffy towels & fruit basket (with cooking apple!). Bed was super comfortable. Lots of choice for breakfast. It's on a main road so some traffic noise but not exceptional. The location was ideal; close to buses, tube station & walking distance from Camden etc. Everything was exactly as in the photos. Amazingly good value for money. We'll be staying again!
Slight smell of sewage in the bathroom. Mentioned to staff who confirmed there was a drainage problem which should be sorted out in the future.
Good location, Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was varied, and serving staff very helpful.
The beds were awful, could feel the springs however we lay.. also the floor of the room sloped in places?!?! We had returned from a concert, and were very tired.. so shouldn't have any problem sleeping... I think I managed about an hours sleep total :( such a shame :(
Located opposite a prison, aged dirty decor, noise, poor cleanliness
The location was good, right next to the Caledonian Road underground. One of the reception ladies was really nice and friendly.
When first arrived, a lady on reception was really unhelpful, didn't seem interested at all. Ended up driving elsewhere just to ask for places to park. Room was a bit unclean, dust on the floor which got in the bed. Bathroom was ok, shower not great had mould in it. Breakfast was rubbish. Nothing decent to eat, stale bread and selections of meat and cheese and not much else. Overall this wasn't the best place we could have stayed in. For the one night we stayed, it was managable but after the unfriendly and unhelpful woman at the start it set our day off to a bad start before it had even began. When we arrived back later the other lady was very friendly and lovely. The hotel needs some updating, there is no lift so a loooooong journey to your room if its on the 3rd floor. Next time we will definitely look elsewhere for the 75 pounds we paid !!!
The hotel was in a very good location for us, with the Caledonian Road bus stop and tube station close by.
