Located near to tube and very nice room. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Arrived to find bottled water fruit and biscuits in the room Which was a nice touch. Good Breakfast
Room was hot and road noise significant which impacted on quality of sleep.
The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean, the room and bed all very clean. Plenty of towels. Fruit in the room. Plenty of tea and coffee. Receptionist was apologetic about the. Hotel not having a lift.
The bed dipped in the middle. The room was tiny. The stairs were the worse, 4 floors and no lift! Very old in need of a facelift.
we booked a room for three, and fortunately it was much larger than expected - after all it was London! Furniture and decoration were a little bit old but acceptable
The room was excellent clean and well turned out.
Lots of stairs, but cannot be helped. Location was as expected.
Room was lovely, just what you need for a short stay
Good breakfast options Clean
Noisy, could do with double glazing, people outside sounded like they we're in the room. Quieted down later at night.
I didn't got to sleep at the hotel, I had a change of plans, a third part changed my meeting to the next day and I contacted the hotel requesting a change of dates, instead of staying that day I request to stay the next one, I did this request 2 days before the check in. They where totally uncooperative and didn't accepted my request, so the solution they offer me was to pay for that night and the next one but only going to stay for one night. Of course I didn't accepted and I didn't stay at the hotel. So I have nothing nice to stay about this hotel
Nice staff great location value for money
the shower noisy
3 nite stay didnt sleep much, traffic noise unbearable, no sound proved windows, uncomfortable bed, cold buffet breakfast only !
Room was clean and I liked the decor, and the variety of teas in the room
Not a huge issue but the floorboards were quite squeaky
The hotel and room met high expectations as, it really matches the pictures showed by the accommodation in Booking.com website. They were also very welcoming during the entire stay. Everything was complemented very nicely when we arrived. It was perfectly cleaned and towells were provided in an creative way as well as some fruits and cookies.
The bed was not really comfortable, we could feel the springs inside the matress. Also breakfast buffet was included but we found it was poor as, we were expecting more variety of food or the typical English breakfast instead.
staff was nice and easy to deal with. breakfast very limited but good enough too.
However, we saw mice in our room and the room had a smell. Instead of double bad & one single, we got three singles. we ticked the 'silent room' option when booking and got a room in the corner and listened for cars and other sounds outside throughout the night (ok, not that bad, but still)... we moved out after first night, all our nightwear and other things still smelled bad when we took out them at another hotel. At last, it wasn't possible to pay with credit card at the time we were leaving. We tried multiple cards and they promised to charge one particular card later, when their phone service is fixed. and they charged different credit card without even asking us... I am happy we were able to find five start hotel just for a bit higher price. Never ever coming back to this hotel.
Bed too low to the ground. Space limited. No lift a major problem. Location.
This hotel was clean but the carpets on the stairs are a little thead bare in places, generally not bad
I asked for a single room with a bath because I am an amputee and not up lots of stairs they gave me a second floor room with a shower and the toilet so tight you could not actually use comfortably ,the tv was so high on the wall you had to lay on the bed to watch it also the room was very niosey from the road also only continental breakfast on offer . As I had finished what I had to do early I only needed the room thankfully for one night but got no refund for the second night because they charged me before my stay had come to an end not good wouldn`t use this hotel again
Breakfast was nice and lady working in dining room was very pleasant
Steep stairs , no lift , our bed was broken wallpaper ripped
Corridors smelt of fish and there was no elevator.
Friendly. Lovely looking bedroom.
Dirty sheet. Poor shower facilities.
shower leaked and no hot water in the morning, room to hot could not turn off radiator staff didnt seem to care.
Easy walk from tube. Clean with friendly staff
Being on 4th floor and no lift but we were aware of this and once you get your breath back its fine!!!
Hotel overall fairly well presented, room had fairly modern decor, receptionist was well mannered. Tea and coffee facilities were adequate. Very close to underground line to Kings Cross. More suited for overnight stay only rather than weekend/holiday stay.
A mouse was in our room due to poor maintenance of the floor and skirting boards - I saw the mouse run down from where the tea and coffee where the mouse had eaten through the sugar sachets. The bed was very uncomfortable, shower and bathroom needs re-grouting and didnt really work adequately. Corridor leading to the room carpet needs laying properly. Was not easy to find, as we thought hotel was on main road but actually is behind a pub down a side road.
price friendliness breakfast
The location was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were in a triple room which was quite large and there was tea and coffee in the room and also a fruit basket, which was a nice touch. Excellent value for money. Would recommend if needed somewhere cheap to stay in central London for one or 2 nights.
The floor sloped slightly and one of the beds was quite squeaky. We went down to breakfast about 20 minutes before it finished, and there was only a table for 2 available (there were 3 of us) and there wasn't a great deal of food left, but what we had was fine.
The decor and cleanliness of the room was excellent and the location was great - right next to Caledonian Road tube station and the overground station just a short walk away. Day staff were brilliant and friendly.
Night staff were impatient and complained when we returned after a night out. The single beds were uncomfortable and the ceiling light did not work properly.
The whole hotel is like a dream palace
The hotel is fantastic
Breakfast was good staff good as well hotel looks OK from the front
the place feels like the stairs need a good clean the carpets are threadbare and a long walk to your room and the whole place needs a coat of paint, and lighting poor. The address is wrong its not on Caledonia rd, its Brewery rd so could not find the place to start with, and when your work at 0800hrs the next day the breakfast should no later that 7 o'clock not 7.30 sorry for being a little negative
