Very warm welcome, comfortable room. Lots of original old features. Good toiletries & gowns & slippers. Local knowledge. Large bed.
Room wasn't the the largest.
Lovely welcome by the owner. As we booked in she made a very welcome pot of tea for us. The room was beautiful we a new shower room. Super king bed & excellent nights sleep.
service was excellent. felt really welcomed. breakfast was excellent, will definately stay there again.
there was heating in the room but was turned of and i could find a way to turn it on. and it was a cold night.
The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very special and had that extra touch with inviting options to choose from.
Quite a lot of noise from traffic on the street running through the night.
A wonderful place. There is a reason that it has received so many awards. There is such an attention to detail. It ism a must if you are in the area of Shrewsbury!
Due to schedule we could only stay one night
Convenient, central location
Room good, breakfast superb
High quality linen, great breakfast
Easy walking distance into town from B-B which in all aspects was first class. The Breakfast was without doubt the best we have had out of the many we have visited with a superb choice. Our room was cosy and had all the extras like tea and coffee making facilities. The owner was very welcoming and freindly and very helpful. All in all a great place to stay.
We have stayed at Anton House before, Louise, the host, is so nice, and helpful. The place is kept so tidy all the time. Her breakfast is just lovely too. If we ever go back to Shrewsbury, we will go back to Anton House.
Food excellent, lovely and clean and service great
Very busy road, and as it was so hot we needed the windows open, therefore did not sleep well
Clean comfortable excellent breakfast and Louise could not have been more helpful
Very helpful and welcoming hostess, Louise. Newly refurbished, gleaming bathroom, beautifully decorated bedroom, lovely home made breakfast, cooked to order. Lots of info on restaurants and Shrewsbury.
Nothing to note
We parked on the road outside. Anton House is about a 10 minutes walk from the centre. Lovely bathroom, excellent shower, fluffy white towels. Bathrobes always a nice touch. Delicious breakfast, which unfortunately I couldn't finish as we had had a big meal the night before. Louise very friendly, helpful and informative. Would stay here again.
It was a very hot summer night and I would have liked to have opened the bedroom window, but there was a little traffic noise so we kept it shut. Noise normally bothers me, but I slept well (and without earplugs!) There was a ceiling fan, which we could have left on all night.
Friendly and welcoming. Received useful information on the town, eating establishments and local tourist attractions. Cleanliness was excellent.
Welcome on arrival and friendliness of owner. Extras in room and bathroom.
Traffic noise. Very busy road No en suite. Had to go down corridor to use shower and toilet. Parking in road could be difficult at busy times.
Good shower, personal service, quality breakfast, helpful
A warm & friendly welcome with helpful suggestions of places to visit. Room excellent, but had not realised bathroom not attached to room - only short walk down hall, but a step in it which I tripped over - watch for it! Breakfast excellent, but last day owner unwell in morning - so tables not cleared & basics only served to us & another couple - needs to have back up to call on for these times.
Parking was at a premium in the street from 5pm-8am with homeowners coming home from a working day to park outside their properties. Had to park way down the street when returning from an evening out.
Very friendly and helpful host.Excellent breakfasts.Good location.
Linda was very welcoming and really helpful, offering us lots of local knowledge. The guest house was ideally located for the town. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was cooked deliciously. Would definitely stay again if over that way and would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation whilst staying in Shrewsbury.
Loved the Guest House, it was clean, comfortable. Fantastic food and excellent host.
Walking into town, it's not that far but we got fed up.
Close to town centre and points of interest. Louise welded us with a much needed cup of tea and gave us all manner of assistance regarding restaurants etc. A really nice place to stay.
Cleanliness, excellent quality of food, helpfulness of proprietor, location and facilities. It was also very reasonable and should obtain a higher starring.
Can't think of anything.
Louise and her sister were very friendly and welcoming. The way that Louise introduced the guests to each other. Excellent choice for breakfast - the food was cooked to perfection. The walk into the town by the river.
