Falkirk is a place without pretensions. People are generally friendly and I like wandering around. The museum and gallery are great and so is Callendar Park. The stadium is terrific and would support a team in the top flight.

The Kelpies are a must to see both day & night.
The Kelpies are a must to see both day & night.
We also ate at a few local restaurants…
Cafe Corvina (Italian)
Sanam (Indian)
Central Perk (British for breakfast)
We were also recommended the Tea house (Chinese) but didn’t have time to eat there due to a short stay.

The Falkirk Wheel & Kelpies is well worth a visit.
The Falkirk Wheel & Kelpies is well worth a visit.
The Boat Trip on the Wheel is good, however you can actually walk the boat route by footpath & it is actually better seeing it from the footpath as photo opportunities are better. The lighting in the Canal Tunnel is IMPRESSIVE.

Stayed over one night - Kelpies and Wheel was beautiful and fasciniating. Town obviously industrial - was difficult to find a good take-out and. I’m sure during a longer stay we might enjoy more attractions and find our way around a bit better.

Falkirk is much more of a tourist destination than I had expected! Really loved trips round the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies.
Lots of great restaurants and green space, a nice little town to wander around.
I ate in Erewan, Christies and Behind the Wall, all were good though Behind the Wall a little noisy.
The owners were two of the most interesting and friendly people. The gardens around the house are very well maintained. The location is quiet and comfortable. It is not in but near Falkirk. The owners drove one of the guests to Falkirk without a charge. Rather than go to a restaurant, the owners provided dinner for us. This is a great place for relaxing in the countryside and enjoying conversation with the clan chief and his lady about the Paisley clan. I highly recommend this place.
We both loved the friendliness of the owners Pat and Bill. From the word go we were greeted with a warm welcome and when we left it was like leaving friends. The room we stayed in had a 4 poster bed, a wonderful little on suite bathroom, plenty of tea and biscuits and lovely views of a sunset over the beautiful Scottish hills. No. 54 is in an excellent location near town centre, The Kelpies and The Falkirk wheel. We can not wait to re-visit when we travel to this region again.
The central location for tourist destinations was outstanding. 20 mins to Doune and Doune Castle, a few minutes to the Falkirk Wheel; 10 or 15 mins to Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument. Additionally, it was near a couple of super-markets so purchasing food that we could prepare in the home was very easy. Finally, the home was very clean in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It perfectly met the needs of my wife and I, along with our traveling companions.
Hosts Callum & Rebecca + their staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Lodges perfect for 2 people + 2 small children.
Great location for days out in Falkirk and surrounding areas.
We will be returning, hopefully with the whole family (all lodges will be required for that trip).
By then Callum should have finished the Hotel so mum can have a room in there.
Centrally located to so much! Within walking distance of the ScotRail, the grocery store and other conveniences, walkable neighborhoods. The living space was great for us, very clean, all the amenities we needed, bed was comfortable, shower hot with great water pressure. A great, private parking space off the road. And our hosts were amazing!
Gorgeous, super clean apartment mid way between main sightseeing attractions in Falkirk. Lovely garden to sit and relax in, in the warmer months. Modern, very well equipped and comfortable ‘home from home’ stay. Park opposite is very handy if your dog is accompanying you on holiday. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend
The location is perfect - very close to the train station, restaurants and town centre. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The included warm breakfast is a great value. The staff was very open to customizing the breakfast menu to suit our wishes and dietary requirements.
Modern spacious room in newly refurbished building with plenty of parking. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Close to a Motorway junction. Price very reasonable for area. You can walk to the Kelpies from the hotel in less than15 minutes.
Fantastic location on edge of town. Walking distance to local bars and restaurants.
Far more facilities than a local hotel ie Premier Inn/ Travelodge and far more reasonable between 4 adults.
Thankyou so much
I loved the homely, fresh feel and space to move around that you don't find in a chain hotel. We liked it so much we were able to book an extra night to allow us more time to explore Falkirk. We will be back!
Tiffany was really helpful and nice.
It was in a good spot for both us visiting family and visiting local sites such as the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies. Town centre also not too far away.
