Location and bar staff
Desk staff was not very helpful; parking was a problem- very difficult
We liked the central location, very easy to get to & from the airport. The breakfast was great & the beds very comfortable.
We thought it was a little overpriced.
We loved this hotel, the staff were brilliant; helpful & great attitude. The beds were really comfortable, best sleep on our holiday. Highly recommended.
Nothing that we did not like!
Close to the railway station and many tourist attractions
Stayed in Apex for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were extremely happy with the size and quality of the room. Would definitely choose to stay here again when visiting Edinburgh.
Once again i was upgraded to a bigger room.I got parking right outside the hotel.its location is perfect for royal Mile & easy walking to alot of mian attraction
No mini bar in room
Large room, large bathroom, very light. Location close to city centre and attractions. Good restaurant and helpful staff.
Bed was a little saggy and soft, probably needs new mattress. Bath could use shelves, storage. Closet in room is tiny, barely big enough for 1 let alone 2 people. No pay movies with TV. Price was high for the quality in our opinion.
Very convenient for train station and shopping
fresh bread at breakfast
- no bathrobe available was strange for this type of hotel -AC set to turn off at night despite begin set to heat up the room, so waking up to cold room was no pleasure at all
Our room was very dark. One small window in a corner nook and very little overhead lighting.
Everything was great. Location very good. The attention too. Super clean.
Breakfast was really busy and a little disorganised at times.
The use of the spa was an excellent extra.
I enjoyed everything at the hotel, staff was friendly and approachable, spa, swimming pool the facilities were great, restaurant meals were lovely staff was too very helpful
Nice room but not value for money
Reception staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful and efficient. The location couldn't have been better. The room was quiet and clean and well appointed. It was nice to have use of a pool.
Pool area was a bit cold and could do with some heating. It would have been nice to have a bath in the en-suite. Wi-fi didn't work on the 1st day but started to work on the 2nd. To be fair, I didn't report the problem (as wasn't too bothered).
The staff was very courteous and helpful; the room was clean, well furnished and comfortable; the breakfast was very good; and the location was ideal.
The rooms were excellent, staff were great, food was good. Breakfast was buffet plus cooked & then there was fruit & pastries to take for later on your way out. Great place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.
The size of the room and facilities were very good. Excellent shower.
Disappointed with buffet breakfast and service at busy times
The room was spacious and nice. The lifts really working well and fast Friendly staff
Luxury class = no The bathroom needed repair Breakfast not up to standard, should be more varied No newspapers to be found any day The pool area was small, dark and not clean
The location of this hotel being so close to Waverly Station and yet quiet
A poor attitude of some staff at breakfast
Location was really good. Near main shops and attractions staff were very friendly. And the rooms were spotless. Service ion dining room was very good
Breakfast although very good was a bit expensive
very well located, near to train station and close enough to royal mile and all other tourist attractions.
I was expecting a more luxury hotel. In my opinion, room size, furniture and all other in room amenities are average. Bathroom, bathtub is the only kind of luxury I saw in the room and totally disproportional to other aspects to the room (bathroom almost as big as the room).
Everything except a
Had a better meal at Italian cafe a few doors away and they are reasonably priced... eg. your brekka price is OTT! Had it once and never again
great all rounder loved everything great location great breakfast good drinks
