Fine hotel in many aspects, restaurant food was of good standard. Service can be a bit sloppy at times, eg. forgetting morning calls. |

The location was ideal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with free wi fi internet, a huge TV screen, a DVD player, large bath tub, and nice shower. Our experience was a very pleasant one. Tap water was yellow!!! Although everyone said it was safe to drink, I didn't dare. |

The ambiance and appearance and spa. The breakfast was poor, set in a corridor with staff and residents jostling for positions. The hot food had run out as had pastries. Lack of plates also. People were complaining at the time we had breakfast. |

The hotel was quiet, had a calm atmosphere, the shower was powerful. The bed was very comfortable. The connecting hallway was disappointing. |

This hotel is fabulous. The staff were welcoming and the room was really comfortable. It has a great location, only a two minute walk from Princes Street yet quiet at night. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. |

Good hotel in a great location. Overall good value for money. Stayed previously in the Balmoral and was extremely disappointed by this so-called 5 star hotel. The Apex is slightly let down by its level of cleanliness and average service. Bedroom was so-so (dust and stains on furniture) and I found nail clippings on the shelf above the sink in the bathroom! I was not impressed either the next morning when I found a foot long black hair in the scrambled eggs. I mentioned it to one of the waiters and he took my plate away very kindly but failed to offer me an alternative. He left the rest of the eggs in the serving area presumably for others to enjoy . Very poor for a £25 breakfast! |

Second stay, even better than the first. Amazing food and the pancakes, bacon and syrup for breakfast were delicious. We had a spectacular view of the city and the room was stylish and really comfortable too. The friendly staff go out of their way to help. Just the best hotel ever. |

The fact that it was central to all of the sites and that it had a pool and sauna which was nice after a long day sightseeing. I think for the price you pay breakfast should be included. |

Comfort and cleanliness of the rooms We stayed for 2 nights in a superior room, we had to move room for the 2nd night due to noise. The pool was freezing, the steam room was not working. |

The comfort of the room was of excellent standard, and it's central location was perfect. The lack of air in the room. It felt stuffy as the windows would not open. |

I really have nothing negative to say at all about the hotel. Everything was at the standard one would expect of a hotel of this level. Excellent, informed and helpful staff throughout, good breakfasts and excellent, well-appointed room made for a great weekend. |
