Excellent location. Clean comfortable hotel. Good breakfast. Will come back to this hotel
Great location. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Lovely breakfast.
The bar could do with a little more atmosphere. Less bright lighting and some candles would have done the trick..
Our stay at Apex was wonderful and the staff was incredibly helpful and accomodating. I would definitely come back and stay here without a doubt!
We stayed here with friends for an overnight , it's a beautifull hotel and rooms were fantastic!!
Location Staff were helpful The hotel held our luggage for us overnight whilst we went north for the night.
Fire alarm drill at 10am We wanted to book another night upon our return from the highlands & did but booked it online as the price at the hotel was £20 more for the exact same room.
The hotel was fab the staff were very good
Location is prefect Restaurants and various just across the road Castle 5 min walk Staff helpfull and nice Breakfast good
Works on reception a lot of noise
Location Value for money Size of the room and the bed Facilities
Could not control room temp as thermostat did not work Too much light from outside lights into bedroom from bathroom window as bathroom door was frosted glass
Staff were fabulous.
Pillows too soft. Meal in resteraunt only fair.
The draught coming from the bedroom window room4119
We were greeted by very welcoming staff, our room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the castle. They were busy renovating the reception area which had no impact on our stay. The location is perfect. Couldn't really fault anything.
Location Decent sized room Helpful staff
The Grassmarket is a big party area on a Friday and Saturday night. If you are a light sleeper, I'd suggest requesting a room at the back.
Very near Edinburgh Castle and railway station with restaurants and bars on the opposite side of road. Excellent for a trip in Edinburgh.
The location is good although not too easy to find on first instance if you're not familiar with the area.
Lighting system in the suite was controlled from one master switch which was located in a separate area of the room. I was also told as we were celebrating a special occasion that they would make the experience 'personal'. This was not the case.
This hotel was perfect for my friend and me. The location was excellent, parking was available (we were driving), and the staff was helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful . The meal in the resturant was excellent and value for money
Location Cleanliness Comfort
Very helpful and professional staff. Hotel very clean and comfortable with good breakfast. Good location.
Standard double room size quite small
Great location. Nice room
Shower drain needing cleared. Flooded bathroom. Didn't discover this till 1am so not a lot could be done.
The hotel was comfortable and pleasant. There were plenty of nice pubs and restaurants around the area.
A bit of building work going on but not too disruptive.
We loved the suite. It was our first weekend away together and I wanted to make it special so having the Master Suite was really amazing. The views of the castle lit up at nightand the beautiful Grassmarket area made it all really special.
We had to wait over an hour in recption to check in as the room was not ready. This was disappointing as we were cold and tired and wanted to get in for a heat. We were giving a voucher for a complimentary cup of tea as an apology, however I had to check another 2 times if our room was ready after being told we would have to wait 20 mins which was actually an hour.
Location. Large room.
Needs to be renovated. Low quality of the bed.
This hotel is very located very central and if you're lucky with views of the castle. Only a few minutes walk to all amenities. Staff are really helpful and seem to enjoy working there, which is always a good sign. Breakfast was lovely.
Located right in the centre of the old town with the cobble stoned streets. Views of the castle from the front door. Staff were very friendly. All of them.
Slightly over shadowed by the Apex International which is only a couple of doors down. It's the big brother hotel. I would probably stay there next time.
