Staff was excellent.Location was very good sight seening bus station just apposite of the hotel. There are so many good pubs around.And good restaurant just in walking distance.

Brilliant Location, Helpful staff. Pleasant stay but dissappointed to find the previous occupants milk etc in the fridge, also the toilet area smelled of urine. Hoped that the first clean would take care of these things but it didn'T.

Very conveniently positioned for seeing Edinburgh, also very good value for money. The staff were very helpfull and friendly and as we were on holiday with a 3yr old the comfort of the room was very important to us and we were not dissappointed. Would definatly stay again. We didn't have breakfast at the Apex so I cannot comment. So really I don't have anything negative to say.

Super staff, allowed us to book in early and even gave us a choice of rooms. Breakfast great value at £10 if you book the night before. All round excellent We had asked for a room with a view of the castle which was at the front of the hotel. A little noisy with revellers during the night but hey what do you expect a few nights before hogmanny

Ou room was double booked and after a nights stay at a sister hotel, we were upgraded and given compementary wine and breakfast. Even without this, our stay would have been wonderful due to the politeness off staff and great location. Definitely will stay again.

Excellent staff - most courteous. Good facilities, clean, well ordered and comfortable. Within walking distance of museums/shops/restaurants etc. A pleasure to stay there and will return. enjoyed it all.

Room was lovely and well-equipped. Everything worked. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Great location for exploring the city. Food excellent including in room dining. No pressure to vacate room for staff to clean but were urged to contact them if anything required. Stay wasn't long enough!

We had a wedding party in town and the service at the hotel was perfect, lovely reception staff who were attentive and professional. Everyone helped make it a special weekend. Definitely will be back.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were very knowledgable about the area and could recommend great restaurants nearby. The hotel gives backpacks to children filled with activities as well as a list of things to do in Edinburgh, what a nice touch! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!

Our room was upgraded when we arrived. Pleasent staff and good decoration in lobby and rooms. The hotel had arranged a Fire Drill at 10.30 pm on the Saturday night. This was very inconvienient and meant we stayed away until 11.00pm, which we did not want to do. Our room was on the front of the hotel and the road is very noisey late at night due to nearby pubs. Needs better soundproofing. Water pressure poor in the shower.

Great location in a fairly quiet lpart in Old Town surrounded by restaurants and shops but still a very short walk/taxi ride to tourist attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I chose this hotel as I had previously stayed at its sister hotel nearby and this was equally as pleasant a stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting a base that is just off the main tourist drag but still very convenient for all types of activities. If I was being very picky then breakfast should be included in price, and a gym or spa would be nice
