Apex city is situated on a lovely square with shops < bars and cafes. It's comfy and freindly, not too big and impersonal. It's also in a great position for the castle and the town. The kettle was too big to fill from the sink. I had to keep asking for extra milk. The pillows were too soft and the breakfast too expensive.

We had a great stay at the apex city. The hotel is very central in the old town and our room had a view of the castle. The room was a deluxe double with a really huge, comfy bed and flat screen tv with dvd player. The hotel has a dvd library at reception. I think guests are able to use the pool at the hotel next door though we didn't end up bothering with this. The hotel is on the grassmarket where there are lots of pubs and restaurants. We had requested a side room as rooms facing the street can be affected by the noise from the pubs and had two excellent nights sleep as a result. The staff were very professional and helpful even when we called down at 11.00pm when we couldn't get the tv to work! All in all a great experience in a really wonderful city.

Modern, clean hotel, close to main historic centre. A key reason why we chose the Apex was that there was parking. bathroom door and main room door would not lock

Central Location. Comfortable, good value for money. Large flat screen tv was good too. Room shouldn't go too much longer without a coat of paint to freshen it up.

It was in a great location with really good views, nice rooms and you have very good staff working in your hotel. Other then booking the hotel for the location and value. I was also impressed with the spa and sauna facilities with steamroom that were advertised on your web-site. So I was greatly dissapointed to be met with a small pool and even smaller changing facilities, with my wife having to get changed in the toilets as there was a family getting changed in the female rooms and there was no room for her to get changed- even at one point she had a strangers child on her lap!! Also the sauna was not very warm either and there was not even a steam room. Also the male locker room had broken lockers and there was no keys either provided at reception or in the changing rooms themselves. I understand that you cannot do much about the siz of the facilities but I think it is wrong that you advertise yourself as a spa hotel. I do have to note that your duty manager at the time handled our concerns on the matter brilliantly he allowed us to use the spa facility in the Apex luxury hotel (the one close to the station) and sent me and my wife a free drink to our room. I cant fault your hotel for excellant customer service.

Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Carpet was rather dirty and had numerous stains. We would of also have liked a small fridge. Breakfast was also too expensive - £13.50 next door was selling a gourmet breakfast for just £6.

Our room was facing the castle and had a brilliant view room 4101. If we had another room it wouldn't of been so special. The shower pressure was poor though. Overall nice place to stay and there wasn't too much street noice considering.

It was the quietest room we have ever stayed in whilst based in the City centre. Thank you to the person on the desk who put us at the back rather than overlooking the street.
