Very professional, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, great location and excellent value for money, considering the location and high standard of accommodation. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We managed to get a room at a discounted rate, which did not include breakfast, but that was even better, as it left us free to eat over the road. |

It was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and the size of the bed and the cushions and pillows and soft towels made it so comfortable. The bathroom was also great, with a stand in shower and a regular size bath and a cute little rubber duck. So cute. The view of the castle from my room was also a great touch and it was so close to the attractions. The only negative was the price of food. I know it's amazing and you can get it sent on a silver platter to your room but it's still rather expensive for something so small on a plate. Best bet is to go across the road to the Italian, the French or the Cafes and pubs across the road. |

close to the Grass Market. I liked the room and the bar area. The breakfast was poor value and there was not much choice for the continental breakfast |

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The location was excellent and within walking distance of all of the sights in Edinburgh. The wait at the front desk was long, even with two people working. Sometimes the employees seemed to get confused and that slowed things down. |

Our stay was excellent the only poor aspect was the room service - both times our order was incorrect, ie missing items we ordered and in both instances the food was warm not hot. Apart from that our stay was most enjoyable. |

the staff were always helpul and friendly. It was advertised with a lovely bar downstairs which we were looking forward to having a drink at, but there was a private party on and we were put in a stuffy meeting room with no windows upstairs. Also the mattress had a spring sticking out of it at the bottom which i kept catching my foot on. These were one off things though as last time we stayed, 2 years ago, it was much better. |
