The staff were very friendly on arrival and the room was very clean and comfortable. Noise levels were perfect....was a relaxing stay !! Just the location was a bit further out than anticipated. |

The staff were polite. The hotel was dirty. The hallways, the room, everything. The curtain was hanging off, the room had not been hoovered, there was dust on the walls and all over. |

The staff was both friendly and professional. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. It's overpriced, especially given the small size of the room. The room and en suite bath would fit in the guest room of my townhouse. There was barely space to walk around the bed; one person had to move out of the way for another to go by. £150 ($250) per night for this seems excessive. |

The staff was very service minded and offered great service. Housekeeping should ensure they don't leave wet and filthy sponges on the room. And the safe on the room should be unlocked when guests arrive. |

The hotel was rather tired and worn out, paint chipped, beds sagging, lift broken, etc etc. It was at best a 2 star hotel. |

Enormous comfortable bed. Close bus stops. Free Wifi Internet. Internet kiosk PC. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Large digital TV with plenty of Freeview channels. Clean, no-smoking hotel. Room space is too crammed for more than 1 guest (possibly due to the large bed). Lift was out-of-order apparently for weeks. No airconditioning in room. No extractor in bathroom. |

Nice bathrooms and mostly well maintained rooms. Easily accessible by public transport. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room rates were good considering the hotel has to offer. Some staff could be a bit more efficient. Also the matrass seemed to have had its best time. If I were handing out stars I think this hotel would get 3 instead of the 4 they have now. Not that it's a bad hotel, but 4 seems rather high. |

The staff were very helpful and especially the restaurant staff. We only ate breakfast inthe hotel but it was of a good standard on arriving at the hotel we could only be offered a smoking room which smelt of stale smoke. The queen size bed was actually 2 beds pushed together. The lift did not work. There was very limited parking. |

The staff were very helpfull when you arrived , they called about a half an hour after i was in the room to check if everything was ok. The only thing i would have said that the weather outside was so hot , That inside the room was excessivley hot.We could have done with a fan to keep the room cooler.I know there were other hotels in the area providing fans without the guests asking for them. I did not ask for one so i don`t suppose they could have read our minds. |

I liked the fact that we had use of the swimming pool in the other Apex Hotels in Edinburgh. Room was too hot at night even with the window open. |

I liked being close to the city centre We found the hotel quite noisy - as in we could hear other guests and staff moving around and chatting. Also we did not feel this hotel was 4* standard |
