Apex European Hotel  

Chose it for combination of parking, twin beds available, price, cancellation policy, location and smoking room. Only disappointment was location. It wasn't bad but not the best for my purpose. That said, I would stay there again and recommend to others.

Good staff, clean rooms and location is not so far from the centre

Location, its just a bit too far from the city centre The Lift kept jumping when you were in it, so we had to use 3 flights of stairs for the entire stay. The hotel is just a little bit run down in places The safety deposit box didnt work I thought the rate I paid was too expensive for what you get, it didnt even include breakfast

Well situated for both the bus route into and out of the city, also its close proximity to Haymarket Railway Station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, tidy and everything you needed was provided. I chose this hotel as it provided rooms for people who smoked and I was most grateful for this facility being available. All in all a very pleasant stay and my wife and I would recommend the Apex to anyone considering staying in Edinburgh. Many Thanks David & Christine.

It was central the staff were helpful and friendly, room was comfortable and clean

We did not eat or drink there at all as the hotel is undergoing refurbishment I would have liked to eat or have a drink there

The location and price were good. Staff were also very helpful.

We felt the price of a breakfast was very expensive

It was what I expected - and in line with the price paid. Nice room, good facilities, little in the way of customer service ( though the reception staff were friendly) and this is what I wanted.

I found the price of drinks to high. therefore i would perfer to drink out.

Location convenient for Murrayfield not too far from city . Modern and clean. Staff very friendly and efficient. Fixed bulb problem within the hour!

Temperature a little too warm, even with radiator off. No aircon. Mattress a little too giving - felt as if I was going to go head over heels when I was trying to get out of bed! Roadworks (not your problem though!)

On arrival on New Years Eve was met with complimentary mince pies, chocolates and mulled wine. The female receptionist who was from Oldham was very friendly and helpful as was the male receptionist.The hotel was about a 15 minute walk into the centre, however there were plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. Found a pub called the Haymarket which had good food at a reasonable price

Really like the friendly staff there. We had to check out before the booked date due to change of travelling plan. It was a bit troublesome for them to change the dates but the staff was very patient and helpful. And they even gave us a bottle of red wine on the day of our arrival as a Christmas gift!

The rooms were lovely. The staff were so amazing. They really looked after us and were so helpful any time I go back to edinburgh I will go back. Also the bus stop across from the hotel took you straight to the zoo :)

I have no complaints the hotel was amazing
