Comfortable, clean & tidy. Location not as convenient as literature suggested (takes about 15 mins to walk to nearest end of Princes Street)! "Car Park" only accommodates about 7 cars - so if you're not VERY lucky and get a space then you either have to pay a fortune on Pay & Display or park miles away!!

The room size is LARGE, there is free internet connection, dvd player, and more than 80 channels on TV. The best part is the price, it is more than just a perfect value for money!!

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They went out if their way to provide information. The only issue about the hotel is the limited car parking spaces.

On arrival on New Years Eve was met with complimentary mince pies, chocolates and mulled wine. The female receptionist who was from Oldham was very friendly and helpful as was the male receptionist. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk into the centre, however there were plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. Found a pub called the Haymarket which had good food at a reasonable price Had no complaints - would stay there again.

Really like the friendly staff there. We had to check out before the booked date due to change of travelling plan. It was a bit troublesome for them to change the dates but the staff was very patient and helpful. And they even gave us a bottle of red wine on the day of our arrival as a Christmas gift!

This is one of the few city centre hotels we could find which offered free parking. It was ideally situated, less than two minutes walk to Haymarket Station and about £5 for a taxi to the old town. Although situated on a main road, the hotel has excellent double glazing and we slept undisturbed though Scotland's worst storms for years.

Staff was really helpful. we had an issue with the heating and they changed our room immediately. the bed was really comfortable and there are free wifi and big flat tv. The area is quite however in 10 minutes walking you are in the city centre. The structure looks a bit old however it's good value for money

It was clean, quite and fairly priced with friendly staff who were willing to help if you had a problem. The bed in the room we stayed in sloped to one side, even so this did not take away the comfort of the bed. It is approximately 20 minutes walk from the hotel to the centre of Edinbrugh, which isn't really a problem unless you have bad weather.

Lots of nice little touches; water in the fridge, hot chocolate sachets as well as tea, coffee and fruit tea in a little basket, really good quality pillows and overall stylishly decorated. The room was quite small, but it was excellently designed - they made the most of the space.
