For the price of the hotel we expected travel lodge standard, the hotel massively exceeded our expectations!!
The night staff was very nice.
They put us in a ground floor room that only had a small heating radiator that stayed lukewarm. On to pof that, the room was drafty - while it was pretty cold outside. Their restaurant was fully booked they said - but very little tables were occupied between 6 and 8 pm. Still, they only could do roomservice for us. We ate on the bed since the room was quite small. Never going back to this hotel.
Hotel is clean comfortable and very welcoming!! Staff are very helpulf and always pleasent!
Comfortable and clean. 15 mins walk from castle etc. bus stop right outside if you don't fancy the walk! Staff very helpful.
Bar prices they spoilt it for themselves. We only had one drink there as it was very expensive, you always expect to pay more in a city but this was the most expensive we found in Edingburgh consequently we chose not to eat there either!
All in all very good was lucky to park the car rooms very good and warm
Breaky cud have been included
staff really helpful. Very comfortable bed.
Staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful.
Needs modernising. Regular maintenance in rooms perhaps would be an idea. Sink cracked in bathroom as well as door badly chipped and paint flaking. The tired decor and repairs that are necessary were not reflected in the price we paid for a city double room.
It was a reasonable hotel at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to get to the centre of Edinburgh. It felt comfortable and clean. I would stay there again no problem!
The staff were so pleasant and couldn't so enough for us, ensured that we didn't go without anything at all. Called us taxi's for going out ensuring we had the number to call for a taxi back from the centre later on - reccomended things on eating out and bars etc well informed.
Only thing I could complain about is the parking. I was very very fortunate that there was someone coming out of a space as I was arriving. If it wasn't for that I would have had a real problem.
Located in a quiet part of the Haymarket area close to transport links and lots of restaurants and bars. Hotel staff the friendliest i have ever experienced anywhere. Food in restaurant very good , some a bit pricey but there are some good deals. Modern bathroom , kept spotless, room size is good but rooms do look outdated but clean and not as worn out as some... Highly recommend , just two more stays here for me ... ooh like the complementary rubber duck ;-)
Good wifi , comfy bed and good waiting staff.
Nothing really. Bit of a strange smell in room. Would stay again.
I really found the beds very comfortable and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly its witwithin walking distance to town
quit and clean place near from princess st. and castle also from transportation to any place in Edinburgh stuff is friendly
Location, cleanliness, size and presentation of room, size of bathroom
room was very hot and noisy when I opened the window. wifi reception was poor in the room.
Staff were so friendly always made time to engage in conversation. Loved the lemon drizzle cake with coffee
Fantastic value for money. Great facilities
Had a fab stay with lovely room and food and staff were great too will defiantly be going again
Parking was in available so had to pay to park
Location being so close to Haymarket tram stop. Cleanliness of room and modern bathroom Staff were great and really helpful
The living area was so small. There were no drawers for clothes and not even a shelf for clothes. This was surely a single room with a double bed stuffed in
Nice, clean, comfortable room.
We stayed in the room next door to the Staff Room and were woken up every morning around 8am, by the staff talking and slamming the door.
The location of the hotel in relation to railway station and airport bus route is excellent. The staff were all friendly and very helpful
Everything was extremely professional. Impressed by Elemis toiletries. Little touches are important. Will stay again.
Wanted a shower only not a bath as I have been ill recently and this would have been easier but one wasn't available.
Extremely helpful staff who made our stay feel just like staying with family/friends. Tesco express few shops away, bus stop just in front of hotel, tram station round the corner, quiet location, comfortable bed, real value for money. Best within this budget compared to several hotels in this region. Should open up more Apex Hotels in Europe.
Small size but was comfortable and clean enough.
Love being in Edinburgh
Didn't realise how far the Hotel was from princess street for walking. Didn't stop us enjoying our break.
Free, fast wifi, fast room service, iron and board in room, good breakfast, very helpful staff!
The hotel is value for money. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits and facilities also. The room is cleaned every day and the heating is more than adequate. The location is also perfect just 15 min walk from the centre. I have no words to describe the great stay we had in Edinburgh. I want to thank everyone and especially reception
