Lovely rooms with great little extras. Was on a very busy/noisy street but there was very little noise penetrated into the rooms even though we were just one floor up and facing the street. |

The hotel was located very close to the heart of the city, and we had a fantastic view of the Edinburgh Castle. The room was not properly cleaned after the previous guest, and the staff was not very responsive to that complaint. Otherwise it was a bit noisy at night, since it was located just across the road from a bunch of pubs. |

Nice clean and tidy room, location was brilliant, staff were plesant and helpful, reasonable price. Yes, when we entered the room it was noisy and I went to close the window to find that it was already closed, alarm bell started ringing in my head towards what it would be like later on. On returning to our room around midnight the room was roasting which made it very uncomfortable, I went to turn down the radiator to find it was stone cold. When the pubs across the road closed the noise was unbearable and with the heat in the room we never got any sleep. Very dissapointed as we booked this to coincide with the fireworks, I would never reccomend this hotel due to the sleepless night we encountered. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. House keeping was excellent; we asked for different pillows and they were provided. The location was perfect for us, as it was near the centre of Edinburgh, in the Old Town. The room was too hot and had so much furniture in it that two people could not move around it easily. The mattress was too soft and had "roll together", so we ached for a while the next morning. The shower was awful. Tried a bath instead, but it was too small to enjoy it properly. TV only had six channels which isn't very many. The room wasn't what we would consider 4 star accomodation! |

The location of the hotel was superb. The rooms were modern and decorated nicely. The sound proofing from the main street was poor. The hotel is the heart of the city with many bars nearby closing at 3am. Alos the emergency services must use the street as a main emergency throughway, as sirens at all times of the night woke us. |

Great standard Right in the middle of the city for an ok price. Parking is possible by phoning early on the day of arrival No but the very modern decor may not please older people. |

Liked everything about the hotel. When we arrived we were upgraded to a room with a view of the Castle. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a table at the Heights Restaurant on the Friday and had a beautiful meal with gorgeous views of the castle all evening. The only downside of our stay was we had to wait 25 minutes after our meal for coffee but its not really a complaint!! |
