Apex International Hotel    

Super sized room and the beds were large and comfortable. restaurant choice was excellent at all meal times. Reception staff, particularly Karen, were extremely helpful and obliging

Bedroom needs more hanging space and drawers. Our room which was a city twin had no drawers whatsoever and the hanging space was barely enough for a single occupancy. I think air conditioning would be required during the hotter months

The staff were excellent. Loved the decor in main areas as well as rooms

The noise at night esp sat night. The glazing needs improved we would have been as well with our beds lying on the street as noise level was just like we were that close to the revellers.

Location, facilities and staff we're fantastic. Food in the Heights Restaurant was outstanding. But for me the stand out was the friendly attitude of the staff.

Staff very welcoming. This is a modern well presented hotel located in the centre of Edinburgh just a short walk away from Edinburgh castle and the Royal Mile. On site car parking.

Staff didnt inform us that they upgrade our room to double bedroom with 2 huge bed. We are only 2 people using the room...i wasnt impressed when I learned that's why they upgrade it coz there's none available room for us. So upsetting...they ruined my 1st day at edinburgh...we waited like 2 hrs so they can fix it and finally we're moved to their sister company Apex City hotel. I will never ever go back to this hotel and wil nver recommend to my friends...

The hotel is very close to the royal mile and the castle. Very clean hotel and very friendly staff.

The hotel faces a number of pubs and restaurants. This means if you get a room with a castle view - you are not going to get a decent nights sleep. The hotel actually provides ear plugs as I am guessing they are aware of this issue.

perfect locaton, lovely breakfast restaurant on top! magnificent view of the castle, and everything within reach. Very practical. Well cooked breakfast, staff going out of their way to make you happy.

how about a coatrack on the wall? in rainy Ediburgh it would be nice to have your wet coat up to dry, not in the cupboard with your shirts. Lovely stairs in the hotel, difficult to find. For us lift-haters a nice big sign would be nice

It was a lovely hotel with excellent interior designs. The room was very comfortable & spacious. The bathroom had a walk in shower & separate bath. The staff were friendly. It has a good location. As guests we got some discount when using the ncp car park close to the hotel.

Service is not the best, corridors are not clean, rooms are not new, door key was disactivated periodically

Location is great, so are the views of the castle from the restaurant - definitely book a table for a dinner! Staff was top-class. Bar works until late so could always get the last drink.

It was too hot in the room and no airco in the room - wouldn't expect that in spring in Edinburgh but there you go! Parking was somewhat limited and on a pricey side.

The location of the Hotel was its best feature. Situated on the Grassmarket close to pubs, shops, cafe's and restaurants.

The interior of the hotel was dated. The layout was odd. Room given had view of brick wall. The room heating was on and was not controllable so very warm. Had to keep windows open.

It was close and convenient to all the main attractions.

Shower door wouldn't stay closed. Toilet didn't flush properly. Not all the buttons on the tv remote worked. Curtains weren't blackout.

Superb location, right next to royal mile, castle and easy walking distance to Waverly rail staion. Grassmarket area is brilliant with 8 pubs and a lovely mussel and steak restaurant on doorstep

Nothing would definitely stay again

Hotel was fantastic, staff couldn't be any more welcoming and accommodating. Hotel was clean and comfortable and a great price, I would strongly recommend breakfast on the 5th floor, stunning views of the castle and the food was great to.

Staff were attentive and friendly. My room was light and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed using complimentary products in the smart bathroom.

Found the decor in the downstairs bar very depressing. It is not somewhere I would want to spend a lot of time in.

Firstly, it is well located, just across the street of Edinburgh castle. Besides, the room is big and clean. The bed is comfortable as well. Finally, swimming pool and gym are free to use. Although the pool and gym is small but enough to do some stretching.

Children in the leisure pool making lots of notice and spoiling the whole relaxation theme. We had to leave. They should be limited to an hour or two a day with staff supervising. Men's lockers and shower didn't work
