Location was good.
Bed, shower and room were poor. Breakfast was very poor.
Very close to hyde park. receptionist paid parking for us so we could stay out.
Beds very old and soft 8 month old baby was allocated to bunk as it had rails. not clean
location was ok, guy on reception was friendly and polite. ample space in reception area for watching the football on to.
tv in room didn't work, when I asked for another tv the receptionist gave me a different room key and told me to change it myself...? tv remotes didn't work.
The position of the hotel
Everything else The worse aspect is the reception staff: rude, unprepared. We asked them to book a taxi and one of them come with his car instead of the real taxi. 30 min of delay to pick up with the fake taxi. no receipt for the hotel and the fake taxi. The rooom very small: 3 people 3 m^2. bathroom very noising. In addition to this the staff forgot towels.
Bedroom was dirty Beds were broken Curtains were not hung well and let light it Carpet was burnt with holes in Cupboards were damaged Windows let draft in Walls were thin and hotel was noisy Looked NOTHING like photos
Pritty much everything else apart from staff
Location for tube r
I was attending a conference and decided to stay up in London. My friend and I wanted to stay reasonably close to Central london so the price was brilliant! We just wanted somewhere to lay out head for the night. The room is beyond basic! There isn't any decor and the room was very shabby. The wardrobe had no door. There was a tv fitting on the wall but no TV. The toilet always looked like it was going to overflow when flushed and the shower water pressure? No pressure! I didn't like that the staff smoked outside as you came in. It wasn't the nicest welcome after a long day. For £50 you get very little so one night was more than enough!!!! The location for the tube is very handy though!!!
From when we arrived the hotel looked nice, clean and welcoming. The reception lad was kind & helpful. The hotel was in a beautiful place and easy to reach all the areas we wanted to visit. Not to far from underground, local buses and hackney taxi was even cheap from victoria bus station. The hotel was clean and quiet outside
The first room we was giving was not as described on the website, it also had a smell of curry & indian take away. There was no hot water in the shower.. breakfast was basic, crossiant, cornflakes and tea/coffee/juice .. The staff seemed to not care in the breakfast and sounded like they were having a party in the kitchen, laughing loud, shouting, and playing music which first thiing in the morning i dont really want to hear! Apart from that the hotel was good, value for money
Location was good
Staff were rude, wifi didn't work in the room, room was dirty and uncomfortable, breakfast was a joke. Should have stayed in a budget hotel for 80 quid less. Service would have been exactly the same
Nothing at all
Receptionist is so so rude, young east european boy with no manners,I have never seen that in my entire life!!!! Dirty room full of dust Dirty bathroom Bedsheets were stained TV not working but the cherry on the cake was that we did not have hot water !!! Boiler apparently broken !!! He told us to wait until worker were going to come !!We then asked to move to a different room where hot water was working they said that we could just go to a different room to have shower with hot water which was in the basement and we were on second floor. A total mess. I dont recommend it at all!!!!!
i did not like, how dirty everything was.The curtains were not in place, you could have put some shampoo into the wc.and more of a english breakfast because we would like to see how you live.
Stayed in the hotel for one night. Where do I start. It is easyer to say what was right: clean sheets, clean shower curtain, helpfull staff.... That is it.... What was wrong: Riped and stained duvets Sticky carpets Dirty walls dust dust dust everywhere Falling light fixtures tv not working
What was wrong: value for money for £140 Riped and stained duvets (sticky) Sticky carpets Dirty walls dust dust dust everywhere Falling light fixtures tv not working not working chip and pin Spider webs
The manager is so rude.
No card payments. Very bad mattresses. Room filthy. Paid £120 for 5 people. Breakfast : squashed croisants, bread rolls and jam, plus tea or coffee nothing else!!!
Short walk to Queensway tube.
Everything. This hotel (and they have a nerve calling themselves this) was filthy; you couldn't even touch the woodwork without sticking to it. There was no hot water at all, we could have had a more effective shower under a garden tap. Breakfast comprised a choice of cornflakes, orange juice, tea and a bread roll (really nothing else at all on offer). This place looked as though it hadn't been freshened up (or cleaned) in decades. The staff were rude. They demanded cash when I tried to pay by card, stating they didn't know how to use the card machine and when I refused to go out to find a cash point at 11pm at night, they miraculously knew how to work it after all. There is nothing I could recommend about this hotel and would strongly advise anyone to avoid it at all costs. I am not a serial complainer but have quite honestly not stayed in anything as bad as this in my life, and I have stayed in many, many hotels around the world. Third world countries do better than this.
The heater didn't work The beds were broken in some areas All the beds made noise Staff poor in attention
Everything, holes in mattress, TV didn't work, hairdryer(one in hotel) smelled of burning.. Some wall sockets didn't work, no soap in bathroom, one pillow per person, despite asking for more, overall just VERY rundown hotel, needs painting and beds and furniture very old and falling apart... Only way to fix this hotel would be to knock it down and rebuild it!!!!
Tv in room not working complained for several days.No use. Wife suffers fromAshma no fan and only one flat Pillow had to wait 3 days complaining to get another one. Breakfast very poor.
great location, close to bus and underground
in the morning without hot water, for breakfast only croissants without bread, uncomfortable beds,..... for one or two nights OK
Location Transport links Basic requirements met.
Breakfast not worth the price. Rooms need renovating slightly. Bed mattress was rather uncomfortable. The staff weren't very friendly, particularly one member of staff who did the night reception duty, he was rude and impatient. Unable to pay by card , this really should be rectified. For the price, we expected more in terms of a better breakfast range, better room standard, especially mattress.
Leaving the place!
Demanded cash payment upon arrival. Told to get cash from machine around corner - when I got there that was not working. Asked if I could pay by cc in morning - No! and if I didn't get cash (another trek) I could leave right away. Curtain in room (singular) barely covered window, bed cover had an interesting set of stains.
Location and price for a one night stop over was perfect. Bedding clean.
Bathroom needs total face lift. So glad we didnt stay longer than one night as noone wanted to shower in it. Matresses propped up in hallways so but of a health risk. Breakfast very basic but to be honest for price didnt expect much more. Its a fabulous old building and really could be so much better with tlc
We must pay all the amount of money when we arrive at the Hotel before going to our room and they just give us the recipt in the last day. The credit card's machine doesn't work and we must pay in money. It is real unconfortable and doesn't sound safe.
Location Price Large room for 6 was great for kids beds comfortable
Not that clean Breakfast was coffee and cold croissants and cereal
location and that's all!
Staff wanted cash and argued when we said we couldn't get it because we were using a credit card from the USA where they do not have chip and pin. Running a hotel in London and dealing with guests from around the world they should know these things but all we got from them was 'well this is the UK and you need to update your credit card.' They were unbelievably rude and accused us of lying about not being able to get cash but looking through past reviews shows they have been scamming people into paying with cash for over a year. When we said we were leaving they were magically able to take a card payment. Bed covers were filthy and there was ply wood under the mattress. Could not use the bathroom light and kettle at the same time without tripping the electric and we had to move the bed to plug the kettle in. No remote for the tv because it had 'gone missing.' No plug for the bathroom sink and no soap, shampoo, etc. Breakfast was a complete joke! Overall the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
