Very tired room with poor plumbing. Evening meals unimaginative and poor quality, with frozen veg and mass produced desserts. In need of an upgrade very soon.

Hotel rooms getting a bit tired now and the shower was useless all needs updating

Really good breakfast, plenty of choice using quality produce and it was hot. Spa area was great as well. Staff were very helpful.

Bedrooms were a bit dated particularly the bathroom area although they were both very clean.

All the staff were professional and friendly, food was lovely. From start to finish our stay was perfect...

The bar next door, Boot and Ball, food was awful I wouldn't give it to my cats...lots of men in the bar using very bad language trying to make themselves heard above the noise of the TV.We won't be going in there again!

staff were very friendly and welcoming. our children loved the pool and were in it for hours. easy to find central location.

Bathroom a little bit tatty - plug in the bath didn't fit.

Staff very helpful ; polite and friendly. Food (half board) was great - well cooked and tasty. The breakfast in particular was excellent

Ticked most of the boxes for us. Room very comfortable and breakfast excellent. Porter kindly provided free tray of coffee whilst we waited for our room after arriving on an early flight.

We tried the restaurant for an evening meal but were not impressed. Sauces on meat dishes were bland and a mixed salad was gritty and undressed.

Staff were helpful and friendly, excellent breakfast, nice pool for a quick dip, good location for town center.

Room, although very clean was a little tired, poor shower, bed was comfy enough but extremely hard pillows. All these however, would not stop us staying there again!

How close the hotel was to the main shopping area, must have been a 5 minute walk.

Rooms were old fashioned and basic, breakfast could have been nicer and there could have been music in the reception area whilst I was using my laptop/iPad.

i emailed about having a travel cot but when we got there there was a normal cot which was not adequate for our 10 week old baby i asked at reception they said we dont do travel cots

everything was ok

one minor thing the heating was on all night and this was not necessary

position of hotel was excellent. near to shops and 10 mins from bus station.the breakfast was great, did not have meals in evening, so cant comment. The indoor pool was great, but too hot for me!!!!

I got fog bound coming in from Guernsey, no food available at 10.15. The person behind the bar gave more attention to playing games on an ipad then serving customers. The heating in the did not work, room 131. Not the best stay for me, however maybe a one off.

I filled in a questionnaire so look at it .this shouldn't have been sent ..........

I liked everything about Apollo. The room was was clean and comfortable. Full English breakfast was great. Indoor swimming pool was good. Parking was good. Staff were briliant

Had evening meal of fish n chips and there was hardly any fish.

We liked the large clean bedrooms, the indoor swimming pool and the friendly staff. Good value for money.

While the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, the hotel was due some serious updating

While the breakfast was very good, our experience of the evening meal proved over priced for the quality provided wine and food.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
