Melissa has to be the best host I have ever had in a Guest House. Nothing was too much trouble for her and we had an excellent stay. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Ayr you won't be disappointed if you choose The Appin .

Loved the house, beautifully decorated, very modern inside although an older house. Couple who owned it really friendly and welcoming. It was more like staying with friends than strangers.

Road noise, just because we are not used to it. Ie we don't like in the centre of a busy town.

We received a really friendly welcome. We were allowed in early to drop off our bags. When we were leaving we were allowed leave our bags until later in the day. Excellent house and well worth the money. We would recommend this guest house to anyone and will . Certainly pay a return visit.

Absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything about the Appin was first class.

Breakfast was excellent and served in the light airy conservatory. Fast wifi. Easy parking and good location for town centre and railway.station

We were met by lovely lady called Melissa. She carried both our suitcases up to the room, which is first time this ever happened, and I have stayed in a few places. We stayed for 5 nights, also met Melissa other half David. Both a helpful wonderful couple. The service was really excellent. Food was amazing. I will be back.. As I have found 2 new friends.xx

There was nothing to dislike. Best place I stayed in ayr ever!!!! Only bad thing is I didn't want to go, miss them both. Xx

We chose this guest house because it was within walking distance of the railway station. It was very clean, very friendly and excellent full Scottish Breakfast.

It is very hard to find fault, but if we had to, the TV was quite small, but then we could not see anywhere in the room to have a larger one without hiding the tea/coffee tray. And although a double room, it was two signle beds stuck together with the tiny gap between them.
