The closeness to amenities,
I was staying on the ground floor and the family that was staying above me keep walking around which did not allow my kids to sleep on time as the pranks was making noise.
We were not given any keys or the correct code to enter the apartment. It was purely by luck that another tenant let us into the building; otherwise we would have been stranded outside on a winter's night. Extremely poor effort by staff.
Kitchen was all you needed. Double bed was good and firm. Shower was smallish but great pressure and heat. Ground floor apartment at rear of property. Small court yard out door from bedroom where you can have a smoke without walking miles was a delight for me. This is in the East End but the local population was very family oriented and extremely multicultural. Not rough at all. Bus stop 20 seconds walk and a mile to District line train. We went to centre of London every day. 30 min trip. Market and high street shops 1 minute walk. Walked to end of street on NYD (10 min) and got in to West Ham home game (1 more tick on the bucket list). Stayed for 5 days from NYD. Could have stayed for ever.
As I said we arrived on New Years Day and had a bit of trouble accessing the security code to enter. But it was probably due to the date. Any person over 5 foot 8 inches will have to sit sideways on the toilet. Sofa cushions sag into sofa too much but it made a reasonable bed when rolled out.
The location was terrible! I couldn't find the place at first and when I called apple apartments they told me there is no receptionist. I was given the number of the house keeper but the woman couldn't even speak English! She came outside and we somehow communicated thought sign and body language. The bathroom floor was dirty and pans looked really old.
Overall is good, comfortable and safe
Public parking space is too expensive.
