Appleby Manor is a place you can go to relax , The food is excellent, The hotel has a charm about it. Best of all is you are in easy reach of the lakes, a lovely place to go what ever time of year. My only critisism is the hotel pool could be slightly bigger, its hard to define it as a pool.

Great position, beutiful garden, excellent food and pristine room justified the cost. The impeccable service from people who seemed to enjoy their work and were amazingly well organised made for an extra special stay

The attention to detail by all the staff, the comfort level of the whole hotel. Room was very good and spacious. Dinner was excellent, well judged in terms of both quantity and quality.

Room very comfortable and spacious. Very clean and views stunning. Would have preferred breakfast beveridges to have been brought with toast and cooked breakfast, rather that right away. Would also have liked the large jugs of milk to have been kept cold as they were lying for some time in a heated room and the milk was therefore not as cold as I like it.

Convenient for Appleby, friendly polite staff, nice food Room very small, quite dark and incredibly hot, only one fan in the hotel and that was in the kitchen until after they had finished cooking. The whole hotel was hot and the conservatory was a bit like those in old peoples' homes. The car park was locked at 11.30 - 12.00 which was not ideal, our friends had to leave their car outside when we all got back late. Expensive for what it offered

The hotel has never let us down in terms of the quality of staff, catering and comfort. The staff, on this occasion, were particularly helpful as I was severely delayed on my journey North.

The meal in the resturant was fantastic, but it was very pricey for two people. And that is on top of the price of staying there. The jacuzzi and pool area needs a hole new revamp if this hotel is to compete with others. And we didn't stay in the room advertised.
