In good location breakfast was excellent and staff friendly
The hotel was easy to find and was an excellent location for the town and theatre. Our twin room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was well cooked with good choices. We would definitely recommend it.
The room felt a little cramped with twin beds and there was room for only 1 bedside cabinet and light.
Beautiful breakfast Friendly and welcoming staff Room clean and decent sized bathroom, good shower pressure Close to walk to everything in Stratford-Upon-Avon
We were 5 in one room and position of TV was a little hard to view for all of us Once bags and all 5 of us were all in, it was a little squashed have to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs (pack light)
Comfortable single room with own separate bathroom down the hall for my own use. Very comfortable bed; friendly staff ; attentive staff at breakfast and well looked after. Plenty of parking space out the back
nothing. All good
the position was excellent hardly had to use the car.breakfast was very good.
there was nothing we didnt like
Comfortable, very well localized, and a good breakfast!
Comfortable bed. Very close to the centre. Good Breakfast and friendly service.
The very noisy manhole cover on the road outside that desperately needs sorting!!
The guesthouse was very central to all the amenities
The drain in the road that kept banging as cars went over it and being a busy road this was most of the time
It is very close to the City Centre.
It is on a busy road and the traffic noise kept us awake.
Comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff, perfect location
Staff were great , breakfast fantastic , room warm , location very central , beds very comfortable, price great
Our female friend traveling with us had a single room with a separate private bathroom but no key to lock. On going to use bathroom found a stranger using it and her towels etc.you must instal locks and put key with room key ring
Very efficiently run. Decent parking. breakfast very good, lots of choice and even a vegetarian sausage for my veggie friend
Checking in a lttle chaotic but in good heart.
Staff were very helpful and willing to advise if needed.
Stairs very steep .
Excellent on site free parking very close to town centre - a 5 minute walk to the theatre. Friendly staff.
Could have done with a thicker duvet on the bed - it is Autumn and the nights were a little chilly.
Central and handy.
friendly staff,huge b/fast!
The location Choice of breakfast Comfy bed Nice room
Cooked breakfast seemed pre-cooked and then microwaved. Eggs not cooked enough. Toast needed longer in toaster. Faulty manhole cover on main road was banging constantly and sounded loud from room.
Very welcoming and obliging. Very good breakfast (though a limited menu) Very very handy for Theatre Provided extra towel on request and provided extra glasses so that we could enjoy a pre-theatre drink. Chilled bubbly for us as well!
Facilities minimal eg only 1 small towel between 2 adults (friends) sharing twin room. In single room no real surfaces to put things on - bedside table and a very narrow shelf.
Clean guest house with excellent breakfast including fresh fruit salad just a 5 minute walk to the theatre
Good value for money, and only a five minute walk from the town centre.
We love Strattford and the Applegarth is perfect for staying at as it is a very short work into the town centre(2 - 5 mins), the staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble, lovely clean room, comfy bed and really nice cooked breakfast. We admit to trying other places but will only be staying here from now on. Roll on next year to come back to Strattford and the Applegarth.
Location, value for money, great breakfast.
Best thing about this place is the Location only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Stratford. The manager was friendly enough.
We were contacted on the day to be told that they could not honour 2 nights that I had booked a month prior, I explained that the latest booking was for an upgrade, I had to call the hotel to ask if our booking was still safe, I would have expected them to contact me. The upgrade was a larger room however it had 1 double (only 2 of us) and 3 singles? This could have been put to better use with a nice seating area this room was also at the top of 2 steep flights of stairs not a problem for us, however would be for the older generation. No information in the rooms with regards to meal timings and menus etc (although we were briefed at reception). The shower area was not as clean as would be expected. Sorry to say I was also overcharged but did not realize this until I returned home but a quick phone call and a promise of a refund, this was 24 hours ago still no refund. Sorry to say we would not stay there again and feel it was overpriced and in need of an update/refurbishment.
