On the banks of the Avon River, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

Great hospitality, cosy rooms with log burner, and lovely breakfast
I loved the log burner and the large bath x
Really surprised by the great accommodation and welcoming owners. If you like old traditional houses you won't be disappointed, lovely log burner. They make the house feel like your own.
Difficult to find but the good places are, check out google maps before you travel there is a very quick access from the main road or some very long narrow lanes if you don't.
Just a perfect short break. Thank you Steve for making our stay so enjoyable. Relaxed and calm.Perfect
Lovely B&B just outside of Bath, (20 mins drive). Its down a small lane, & a little easy to drive past, due to Steve, the owner not being able to display a sign (and thereby hung an entertaining tale over a good breakfast) . Note - if you are going past 188 or 187a then April Cottage is just over the road.
Lovely location. Peaceful and relaxing.
Could really do with being sign posted from the main road. Hard to find during the day. Near on impossible at night. No street lights!
Fantastic location, lovely accommodation, welcoming host and the breakfast was gorgeous! Thanks Steve for a lovely stay, we will no doubt be back!! :)
Steve was very welcoming and hospitable. If we needed to, we could use the lounge and kitchen downstairs. Breakfasts were excellent.
Nice area. Big Room Huge Bath
Nobody to greet us at the property. We had to make a phone call as owner was on holiday and then had to let ourselves in. Bed quite hard and personal belongings left in some cupboards. Breakfast mediocre
Excellent personal service by woman standing in for the owner. Good value, breakfast perfect and huge lounge to relax in. Superb relaxed location for a nearby wedding. Libby and Richard, Plymouth
Nothing not to like! [unless you want a TV in your bedroom.]
Clean, friendly, good breakfast.
Bed could have been a bit softer!
Very chilled out and relaxing atmosphere very friendly and accommodating host.
We live in Spain so we loved the fact that it was a typical English cottage and garden. Breakfast was excellent. Steve (the owner) was very hospitable.
The wifi in the room we stayed in was intermittent - best signal was downstairs. Our paperwork stated we would have a room with a sofa but the room was actually quite small in comparison to others we saw. We would have preferred the bigger room. We booked the cottage thinking that it was actually in Bradford on Avon however, it was a few miles away and we definitely needed to drive from the cottage to the town.
The property was furnished in pecably in keeping with an aged property that produced an ambience of homelines and comfort. The proprietor could not have a more consumate host. I cannot recommend this property more highly and we will return.
The relaxed friendly atmosphere with the owner inviting his guests to share his house.
Mud! The lane to the property was being used by farm vehicles and was very muddy. Usually not a problem but I hadn't any boots for my walk to local pub.
This was a little piece of paradise in the middle of the Wiltshire countryside. Peacefull but in close proximity to Bath and the University which was our primary reason for the staty but a really pleasant surprise with the comfort and the Vistas. I can imagine a winters stay with a log fire burning equally a summer stay with all the doors open or in the beautiful gardens. Thoroughly recommended
Lovely cottage, views of the countryside, quiet, lots of character. Steve the owner, friendly and welcoming. Great value for money and just a few miles from the centre of Bath
April cottage is a beautiful old farmhouse in one of the few quiet locations near Bath. The rooms were excellent and my wife reports that the cooked breakfast was the hottest and freshest she has ever had whilst travelling. The owners are very welcoming. I real find!
Nothing to dislike
Old world character of the cottage, beautifully furnished with antiques and charming personal touches. It felt homely, tastefully decorated, welcoming host and good breakfast.Excellent value for money and on the doorstep of Bath.
Poor directions for finding it - all it needs to say is follow the signs to Ashley, past Dog and Fox Pub and keep going to the end of the lane - easy!
Absolutley everthing. What a wonderful place to stay. Steve is a great host and let us wander about his gorgeous house while he was out and about on his farming duties. He provided us with a great breakfast and the house was beautifully clean. Being Australians we got a wonderful glimpse of what it is like in the beautiful English countryside. Well done Steve! Steven and Pat were wonderful. Excellent breakfast and quiet location.
Better directions on how to get to 189. I'm a dummy when it comes to map reading but I can follow directions. Get an ordnance map for England if you're driving and believe it for every lane and alley.
