Very well located, very close the center
Small, old, not well conditioned, not dirty, but not clean as well, and expensive for what it is.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
The room and bathroom had signs of dampness which I felt affecting my asthma. Room was very basic and small and every noise in the building was amplified by the huge gap between the door and floor!!
Right in town centre, comfortable bed slept well.
Not a lot of room in the room its self shower and toilet a bit too small for comfort, on a busy main road with parking across the road or at the end of the road a pay and display car park.
The room they gave us doesn't corrispond to our reservation:it was a huge, umid and the toilet was simply horrible. So when we have told to the girl at the reception our opinion she gave us another room.Completely negative opinion
* not clean * no wifi in our rooms * shabby furniture * expensive (book earlier, book the hostel at the promenade)
central location quiet room close to (free) parking
mold in bathroom old wallpaper & carpets small room, even smaller ensuite
"The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing" Staff need to communicate with each other more. Room smaller than advertised.
The room was shabby, smelly and noisy. The t.v had seen better days. The front door was unsecured. Extremely overpriced and an all round poor nights sleep for all. Could not wait to leave.
We were within a short walk to the ferry offices.
Our bathroom was not clean when we arrived, and the staff had a small attitude when we asked for a clean and dry bathmat. The door to our building was sticky and didn't close well. The wifi didn't work well in the newly renovated building. Also, I found the price a little high for what was offered.
We stayed in room number 1 in the st Anne's guest house and overall we had a great stay. We would definitely come back and also recommend you to friends.
The only downfall was that the curtains in the room were so thin that they didn't block out any sunlight. These would have to be changed before I decided to come back again. Also the wifi signal was very poor but I think this was only due to the building being newly used
The room was fine, plenty of room and storage space. The staff were most friendly and helpful, especially appreciated as I am a senior travelling alone. The nearness to town was particularly helpful, but had its detractions.
Unfortunately, I was unaware at the time of booking that Dunollie Road was the main entry into Oban and the amount of heavy traffic passing almost constantly was a definite minus. Also being in the room on the ground floor next to the front door I was very annoyed at the amount of guests slamming that door, even very early in the morning, 5 or 6 am.
The shower room was new and well kept. Towels were cleaned daily. Room was clean and bedding was also.
Furnishings were minimal but consistent with the price.. The wardrobe was wobbly and nearly fell over on several occasions.
Nothing so special, but excellent location and helpful staffs.
The location was nice. Parking was nearby.
The shower was terrible. Facilities just so-so.
Nice Location and decent size room.
Reception was not reachable at the number given despite calling repeatedly.
staff were very friendly and helpful.
cheap and comfortable... the young woman who showed us round was very pleasant and helpful..the rooms were basic but clean
I booked online and when I rang the week before we travelled to confirm the booking the landlady was very curt and unwelcoming...to the point that I would have gone elsewhere if it hadn't been too late to re book. . .I can't understand why someone who obviously doesn't like people is in the Guest House business.I was quite anxious about the kind of welcome we would receive after our long drive to Oban...but the young woman who met us was very nice and we didn't even meet the landlady. Despite this I wouldn't stay there again...I don't like paying for rudeness and bad attitude.
breakfast (paid for cooked breakfasts, but difficulties in getting it), they didn't make the beds after the first night
Beds squeaked, vent in ensuite didn't work, room not clean
We liked the price and the cleanliness. We wanted a room that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg, and that's what we got! The shower was new, bathroom was clean and checked by staff, and the towels and bedding were clean and fresh. We knew the bathroom would be shared but the other residents also kept it clean.
The wardrobe in our room was missing a doorknob and was ready to fall over. There was little space to place our belongings.
Very helpful to have GPS coordinates to locate which other places did not have. Thanks. Close to harbor - good location.
The sign was hard to read (font type) while driving and trying to find it. We had to pass by three times before we found it.
Friendly receptionist, although she took her time appearing.
Very noisy as it backs onto a pub garden. Very expensive especially as breakfast isn't included. Shower room microscopic.
We had a very nice comfortable room. Great location very close to the front and the centre of Oban. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice garden to sit in. Good price.
All was as expected.
I had requested early book in ,I was emailed saying I could at 3.30pm, but had to stand in rain till 4.00pm. I was asked to pay as soon as I walked in .room carpet very grubby rugs at both sides of bed even worse, mattress very bad condition sheet on mattress very thin and was all bobbled , folding door in toilet didn't fit unable to close as door only folded halfway as sink was facing door this only left a few inches between them this meant could not open shower door because of sink and half closed folding door. never seen any staff during my stay. I would not recommend to stay at this b&b.
