Excellent breakfast with couple of options. Very helpfull and kind personal. Parking directly around the house. Reasonable price. Good confort.
Far from downtown (around 3 km) - easy to go closer and park by the river. Noisy room if you have room in front of the house.
Good service and friendly welcome. Convenient for my appointment the next day.
Noisy road which interrupted sleep a lot (I had a front room)
We spent 7 nights at Arbury Lodge in July. Anita is a lovely lady who made us feel more than welcome in her home. Our room was at the back of the house, very clean, quiet, and homely. My husband is a great lover of food, and so breakfast was definitely a highlight. Porridge, full English breakfast, vegetarian sausages, all varieties of eggs, a big selection of cereal and fruit, juice, tea and coffee, toast and buns, all freshly made (save for the buns)... My eggs were cooked to perfection. You can tell that Anita enjoys taking care of her guests. Her dog and cat are lovely, well-behaved pets and made our stay even more memorable. There are enough parking spaces at Arbury Lodge, and we were also welcome to use the backyard. The walk into town is a good half hour long and lovely in nice weather, but buses also run every ten minutes, so it's not a problem getting into the center. Anita was very helpful in giving us directions and happily let us park our car at her house well beyond checkout time. Getting in late on the day of arrival (about 10pm) wasn't a problem. Cocoa, tea, coffee and cookies were waiting for us in our room, which also provided TV, a hair dryer and internet. A pub, fish'n'chips and several shops are just around the corner. We will definitely come again and can recommend Anita's B&B without reservations.
The fact that we couldn't extent our stay.
Owner is extremely rude. Other staff are nice however. As I had a misunderstanding on the check-out time, which is 10am and I thought was 10.30 the owner and the maid kept banging on the door in the morning. The owner said to me I better leave because she had to go out, and once I do come out to check out between 3 to 4 minutes later, she has already left. Location is very far from everything as well. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Friendliness and hospitality. Nice breakfast, good beds.
small and noisy, hot room. Shabby surroundings and dull appearance outside of the B&B.
Value for money, Good help full owner Good choice b-fast
we got front room close to traffic..noisy but ear plugs supplied,, could do with fan in room for warm nights
Staffs are very friendly. as well as their lovely dog.
It is far from the city centre. I think it's more suitable for travellers who have cars.
A very helpful owner who gave us every assistance possible. I had to be in the centre of Cambridge by 7 a.m. in order to rake part in this charity bike ride. Breakfast was provided out of hours and there was storage for my bike. Thank you so much.
Breakfast was excellent with fantastic fresh home cooked options.
Everything from the moment I arrived to my checkout was a good experience. The breakfast is especially yummy and there are many choices each morning. Cambridge city center is an easy walk and the bus is easy to catch. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and my wi-fi was available when I needed it. I shared a bathroom which was clean and not too far from my room. If I'm ever in Cambridge again, I'll book here. Thumbs up recommendation.
It was a summer stay, so I needed to open my window. My room was on the front and there is a great amount of street noise. Traffic isn't something the B&B can control, though.
Very good place in a residential area--be sure you understand where it is if you're going to be on foot. Completely satisfactory stay.
Anita was very kind and helpfull
Clean, comfortable and pleasant. I will be going back there
Cambridge accommodation is never cheap, but this was about as reasonable as you can get. In a fairly quiet area. About 25 minutes walk to the city centre.
The comfy quiet bedroom and spotless bathroom. The really lovely owner who took such care of her guests. the really nice excellently cooked breakfast. The car parking facility- so handy.
room very clean and beds comfortable
room quite small; no option to have breakfast in those days (owners going on holiday); a bit too far from city centre if you plan going back and forth during the day
Nice place to stay
It was a short drive to the city centre.
Can't think of any
A very clean and organised B&B to stay. The proprietor is extremely friendly and breakfasts are delicious. It is located far from the centre of Cambridge, but buses run relatively frequently. I would definitely stay again.
I found Arbury Lodge to be a very friendly and comfortable Guest House, which provided everything I required for a short Business stay. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, the WiFi service was reliable, and there was a vegetarian option at breakfast, which was excellent. The Train Station and City Centre are easily reached by Bus or Taxi, and the owner was very helpful and happy to advise on other useful facilities in the area (shops/places to eat etc). I will definitely use again on future trips, if a room is available.
Anita, the owner, is very friendly and helpful (she borrowed me his phone charger also). It's a small but well driven guest house.
I felt very comfortable during my stay at Arbury Lodge: very friendly and helpful stuff, excellent home-made breakfast, the room I had (at the back of the house) was clean and extremely quiet, excellent wi-fi connection, very useful hot drink (chocolate/tea/coffee) making facilities inside room, Citi 1 bus (direct connection to Train Station & city Center) can be reached in 5 mins. walking distance. Also, at least one supermarket can be found near this location. Definitely I will consider re-booking at Arbury Lodge next time I visit Cambridge.
Small issues with the bathroom's ventilation system which allows building up too much steam condensation.
Very friendly hostess. Delicious cooked British breakfast.
More than 30 minutes walk from the city centre.
Breakfast is OK
Staffs are not professional
The staff are so nice and helpful. The hotel is so clean, and it is close to the city centre.
The price is a bit expensive because it is not new and modern.
