Situated in Weymouth, Barnes's Rest offers rooms with free WiFi access. With a garden, the property is just 10 minutes' walk from the seafront and the town centre is less than a 20-minute stroll away....

Very clean and comfortable, friendly people, good food. Would stay there again. Excellent
It was perfect for me, & at such short notice
Cleanliness Staff Food The fact that nothing was too much trouble for the owners/staff
Pleasant staff and very friendly. Modern décor and furniture. Good fresh breakfast and no problem in giving you variations if you want to tailor make your breakfast. Good location with free parking. Tea and coffee facilities in room restocked daily as well as fresh towels as often as required. Good reception on the WiFi. We felt very at home here and will certainly make a return visit. Well recommended.
Fabulous Full English Breakfast + Cereal + Yoghurts + Fruit + Juice + Toast = Didn't need any lunch! Happily accommodated our late arrival due to traffic.
The Price The Parking Gaynor
Having to leave and go to a campsite :(
Excellent hospitality very friendly hoteliers and staff. Breakfast filled you up for the day, plenty of variety. Bottled water, biscuits, hot chocolate and beverages replenished daily. Bedrooms and bathrooms cleaned daily. Free WIFI a bonus. Excellent location and view of the sea from our bedroom window. Free parking was greatly appreciated as the prices for parking in Weymouth start from £5 per day. Will be returning. ;-))
We had to come home. ;-((
Location was superb, handy parking, staff were very attentive, welcoming & friendly. Nice cooked breakfasts.
Not all rooms are the same standard, after moving rooms felt much more comfortable.
This B & B has come into new ownership and they have done an excellent job in refurbishment. The paintwork is fresh and the bedding in very crisp and new. Lovely colours in dining room. Very pleasant staff.
Overlooks quite a busy road, not a problem for us sleeping but may be for some. A tiny bathroom but very adequate for a short stay.
I LIKE THE ROOM, THE DISTANCE FROM THE SEA. THE BREAKFAST.
IS TO EXPANSIVE FOR WHAT IS OFFERING, FOR A DELUXE ROOM A VERY SMALL BATHROOM, THE BALL WHICH THEY KEEP THE COFFEE, SUGAR WAS DIRTY, DIRTY GLASSES. I WAS TO 3 STAR BEFORE AND WE HAD BETTER CONDITIONS.
I liked everything. The food, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. also very clean. would recommend to anyone. Can't wait to come back.
As stated by other guests, Gaynor called us to check what time we would be arriving and all was ready for us when we got there. She and all the other staff are really friendly, constantly smiling and interested in their guests. I had a small single room at the back of the house which was lovely and clean, with an en-suite shower room. It was just right for me. The bed was very comfortable. I was impressed with the selection of drink sachets on offer, also some lovely biscuits, and a bottle of spring water each day. Breakfast was good and plentiful, with plenty of choice, and vegetarian sausages if required. We were even asked about our preferences with regard to a cooked breakfast on arrival. The guest house is just a short stroll from the beach.
My only problem was with the amount of light let in through the blinds in my room. I mentioned this to Gaynor, who was interested to hear it, and said she had been considering blackout curtains, but was worried people might miss their breakfast.
Comfortable beds, wide breakfast selection, close to beach, shops & attractions, friendly & helpful staff
Nothing to dislike
Friendly staff and very clean and comfortable accommodation.
Everything was great, very welcoming staff, good breakfast, great location, all in all a perfect stay for our trip south
very clean , helpful staff , great location
very small room but probably due to being a single guest ?
The room had everything I needed. The facilities were very clean. It was very close to the beach and a 10 min walk into the centre.
I'd rather pay a little more and have a better quality cooked breakfast. Every item was from the 'value' range.
Very friendly reception. This B & B provided everything we needed with nice extra touches - bottled water in the room, biscuits etc. great position for beach and town. Parking a real bonus at busy times in Weymouth.
The staff lovely .2 mins from the beach .Free parking . Breakfast nice.
Flat pillows ,very small single room and shower even smaller . Book a double even if on your own.
From the very friendly initial welcome to our departure, our hosts Gaynor and David could not have been more welcoming! The bedroom (designated a superior room) was spacious and generally well appointed with a modern en suite bathroom and excellent tea-making facilities. It had two arm chairs, a flat-screen TV (at rather a high level) and modern pine furniture but could have had an improved clothes-hanging area. The breakfast was really splendid (try the delicious scrambled egg and smoked salmon if the Full English is too much for you!) and was always promptly served in a well presented breakfast room which always had fresh flowers to add to the splendid experience. We thoroughly recommend the Arcadia.
The staff were excellent and very helpfull. Everything was so clean. A must.
We were made to feel really welcome from start to finish, staff were lovely, couldn't of asked for more, will definitely book there again
Value for money and good location
Needs more staff training at breakfast
Everything, we were phoned on our journey down to check our ETA. Welcomed with a friendly smile. Helped with our bags which was very kind. Room number 2, our room had a very clean private bathroom. It was so close so no problem at all. It was a quiet room at the back which was what we asked for. Breakfast was first class plenty to choose from. Lovely dining room too, in fact the whole B&B was newly decorated and spotless. We loved the fresh flowers. My Mother uses a wheelchair, I found this no problem at all as the walk along the sea front towards the harbour is flat. Would love to go back, thank you!
Nothing. (please note all rooms are only excessable by staircase.)
I thought the staff were very freindly and helpfull
