Convenient for the Old Town of Stevenage this hotel is very smartly presented, very clean and with welcoming staff. We often visit Stevenage to see our daughter and this is now our favourite hotel. I shouldn't be telling you this as we might find it full when we try to book.
With such a basically good place any criticisms are only nit picks but we were surprised not to have the tea and coffee topped up for our second night. They would readily supply so you need to ask, we got back too late!
Really friendly greeting on arrival. Clean functioning room No complaints
Very friendly and helpful staff. Liked having mini kitchen facilities. Stevenage has an awkward 1 way system not walker friendly, but that's not the lodge's fault. Very convenient if visiting the Lister hospital.
The owners and staff of Archways lodge were friendly, helpful and attentive from the start. It's a family business and this makes the atmosphere fun and personal. They accommodated my needs i.e Late check out, without any problem. The room was fab and even contained a kitchenette! Highly reccomended.
Cleanliness, welcome by the member of staff and the mini kitchen facility.
Selfish inconsiderate noisy guests at around 02:30 am.
This hotel is amazing. The customer service is the best I have ever received. Would thoroughly recommend
Good location to high street and value for money
Great little kitchen unit for cooking a basic brekkie... Perfect size room, bed was slightly bigger than a single which was a bonus. Ample parking for all guests... All round impressive for the price. Plus... Friendy, helpful reception staff!
It's not the fault of the hotel but due to fire and safety regulations, the kitchenette doesn't have a toaster. It's a negligible fault and worth noting that it's the only thing I could find 'fault' with!
very nice comfortable hotel will stay again but not near the fire door
the fire door outside our room was banging a lot woke my partner up
Staff really friendly welcoming and helpful, beautiful furnished well cared for and spotlessly clean building would definately stay again.
Nothing really my friend had to wait ages for the kettle to boil no big deal.
What a great place. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent, practical facilities. Friendly and helpful staff - the welcome basket is a really nice touch. Will definitely stay again. Wish more were like this.
Loved the fact it had a microwave and fridge it was very welcoming and homely
Very thoughtful facilities. Everything was to hand and nothing lacking for a short stay.
There was nothing I disliked about the hotel except one thing, The position was slightly awkward to get to. I passed the place once although I used a Sat Nav and I had to go round the one-way system again which was only a short distance.
Location, kitchen facilities, cleanliness and plenty of car parking spaces
The staff were great, the room was good and at the price the value for money was amazing.
Had room 15 again - great single room as 3/4 bed!!
Not a critism more a suggestion - a small sachet of washing up liquid could be supplied, as I was only able to rinse my breakfast items.
LIKED HAVING KITCHENETTE WHICH MEANT I DIDN'T HAVE TO EAT OUT
Good Value for money, friendly staff and good reception, got what you paid for a comfy bed small but acceptable room and en-suite, and facilities of a bed sitter including microwave and welcome pack of tea biscuits, crips orange juice, would recommend
Nothing that I could really put my finger on
Nice touch with the welcome basket of goodies - allows independence with a bit of added convenience. Friendly staff are one of best assets
Very good value for money and very clean
The bath towel was okay but the other towel was too small for drying your hair
Excellent kitchen facilities. Nice bright comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff value for money. Will definitely stay again
Everything was satisfactory there was nothing we didn't like
Rooms cleaned daily and to a high standard. Family rooms are spacious and cosy, rooms consist of a small kitchen area with a kettle, microwave and fridge. Bathrooms are well equipped. Our room had a TV with free view along with free WiFi. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only thing the children were not happy with was their was no toaster available in rooms.
We visited my mum who lives in Stevenage and my husband and I stayed at Archways over night. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely book to stay again.
Nothing, everything was perfect
