Clean tidy hotel, close to the Old Town. Plenty of room for parking. Ideal as a base. Would go back On the down side, this is a room only hotel so if you like a cooked breakfast in the morning then this not for you.

Convenient location for Old & New town(s) in Stevenage. Large selection of Pubs/Restuarants/Shops within 10 mins stroll to the Old Town. TIP: If Walking, turn right out of Hotel and stay right, an underpass comes out at the end of Old Town (do not cross the dual carriageway - as we did the first time!) Hotel was adequate for our needs, we knew there was no food available so took small amount of food stuffs to tide us over whilst in the room. Microwave, fridge, sink and all cutlery supplied. Don't expect toast though, a sign says they are not covered by insurance to have a toaster. Clean and serviceable room with small flat screen TV on adjustable wall bracket and neatly arranged shower-room (no bath for all you soakers). Smoking areas to front & back (via fire exit) dozens of NO SMOKING signs up around the Hotel with warnings of fines for offenders - be warned. In summation, suited our needs as convenient for Lister Hospital and any shoppng needs and not too pricey. Seems to be used mainly by short term workers in the area, if you are a light sleeper you might notice the road noise if staying at the front of the Hotel, we did however not too much of a problem.

Everything was new and spotless. The bed was comfortable and they provided an electric fan if the room was too warm (the window didn't seem to open). The mini kitchen was very well supplied and there was a snack basket. They didn't provide breakfast, but explained about the cooking facilities in the room when I rang to ask. Parking was a bit tight.

Very good hotel. Owner very nice and accommodating if you have any special requests. If I ever need to stay in this area again I will without a doubt come back to Archways. For previous reviewers saying that having no breakfast was a problem, you have a 'Mini' kitchen in your room so the hotel not supplying breakfast isn't a problem, I actualy liked the freedom of being able to eat when I wanted! The snack pack provided on your first night with tea coffee crisps juice and cookies was also a lifesaver as I got to the hotel when all shops where closed!

I like to have a little kitchen area where I can put my meal into the microwave and take my wine from the fridge and sit back and enjoy watching the nice little tv! There was nothing I disliked about the hotel. I have stayed there twice and have booked another room this week!

As a contractor I found the small kitchen facility a welcome addition in the room. I have now arranged to stay long term in their lodging house which caters for long term stays. Good value and exceptionally clean.

I stayed at the hotel whilst attending the local rock festival at Knebworth House. I like the fact that it was conveniently located for this, was friendly and clean and that there was no fuss with respect to the timing of my coming and going.
