Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean room with good temperature control. Breakfasts nicely cooked with plenty of choice. Good lounge bar and pool/gym area.
The quilt on the bed was a bit narrow.
Nothing stood out as good.
The food in general was poor. Breakfast finished at 9.30. which is too early. Poor selection of food at breakfast. Not one healthy option on the bar/ room menu.
Everything, what more can you say when when you can't find fault, and In are opinion you will not be disappointed if you stay at the Arden Hotel.
Food was great value for money and excellent. would 100% stay there again
Staff very helpful
very thin walls,
Leisure facilities were excellent
Great restaurant very responsabel priced
Every day I had to reset my keycard. Staff was aware of it only when I made remarks they Said yes it is possible please check the keycard before going to your room!!! No Standard policy to give a small map for the walkway to go to the NEC. Whitout map you do not find it. Tom Tom is not finding the hotel at once. After 3 wrong directions I found it. Staff should active worn visitors before!
Great facilities and friendly staff. Food very good
Decor a bit dated
Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for the NEC. Bar food and breakfast were very good
Whole place was a bit dated
The meal in the restaurant was of the highest quality, well presented and delicious.
The bed was comfortable. The shower was wet & warm. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel was clean, reception, restaurant & bathroom.
The greeting on arrival was very poor, where was the ''Have you guys had a good journey'' ''Welcome to the Arden'' ''Have you travelled far'' .... No warm welcoming courtesy shown at all upon arrival which was poor considering at that time we were the only guests booking in. The room was smoke ridden and we didn't even go in.... however upon explaining this to the check in desk an alternative was given without hesitation but the next had stains on the carpet and required a general sproose up. The following morning I called down for an iron to be told, sorry sir four have already gone up and we haven't any others so you will have to wait until they have been collected. I stay in hotels all over the world and probably stay in a hotel room 100 days of the year and have never been faced with that answer from a similar establishment with a 100 plus rooms, no laundry service & only four irons... ridiculous! The rate was £115 per night but I think next time I'll stay in a Premier Inn & save myself £70.
Clean, well placed, quiet, nice to have a swim and sauna after a hard day tramping around NEC!
Bed was really not up to scratch. Evening resturant service was a bit Fawlty Towers slow and not good value. Dont go here for a romantic meal as the staff make a big effort to make it unromantic!
Fantastic stay at the arden hotel Very relaxing. Loved the food and the facilities. Would definitely return
Paying for internet
The Staff in particular were helpful and exceptionally friendly. The Leisure facilities were a welcome end to a busy day at the NEC.
There was a query on my bill, but this was rectified efficiently without fuss. The only other slight negative was that we were seated off to the side of the Restaurant for our evening meal and therefore lacked a bit of atmosphere.
good position for my business course
Good leisure facilities that were not too busy.
Long wait for order to be taken in the restaurant even though it was less than half full. Some staff members could have looked happier!
Although close to the airport and highway, I had a very quiet room - very good sleep. Breakfast was OK (I was afraid after our bad experience the evening before in the restaurant)
Restaurant: service very bad. Althought there were only some tables occupied, we had to wait 30min at the bar outside the restaurant before we could enter. Once in the restaurant, it took a very long time before we were served (other people did not wait and left the restaurant without getting served). Quality food minor. Welness centre is not worth visiting .. very small sauna (only 3 people could enter sitting close to each other + very low temperature)
Location near to the airport. Not Expensive for the food and drinks
The pool, the bar and the location.
The bed was ready for renewing,I am a bed salesman!
Everything. I particularly enjoyed the food and wine in the Burgundy restaurant.
The bar meals were great value at £7.95 each and the pool and jacuzzi was a godsend after busy days!
Would have been nice to have a bath in our ensuite!
Great location, as guests can walk to the NEC. Friendly staff. Good gym and swimming pool with helpful staff. Excellent food in the restaurant. Friendly reception staff and bar staff.
Poor internet facilities. These should be upgraded so that all guests have access to a reliable and consistent service.
staff in restaurant and breakfast were really nice and helpful. delicious food in restaurant within walking distance to the NEC After asking we were given £50 off with a nice letter from manager for the inconvenience of having to move rooms due to shower not working.
We stayed at this hotel during setting up and exhibiting at Birmingham NEC for 6 nights and had 2 rooms for staff. Booked a room on ground floor due to the fact that I struggle with stairs. When we arrived we were told that no ground floor twin rooms were available. We were given rooms on the 2.Floor! Unfortunatly the lift was broken throughout the whole week, but back in working order after we had left and came back in the evening to collect our luggage. Shower was not working something that should and could have been detected by staff before renting room out. Instead we had cold showers with trickle of water and had to move room which was really stressful as we were in the middle of setting up at the NEC. Bar smelled of chlorine from pool area. Bar staff were extremely unfriendly, some work in restaurant at the same time, were they are like different people. needs paint and updating in places expensive for what it is
Food, service, and leisure facilities all excellent.
Bedroom far to hot, did not seem to have instructions for turning off heating
