near venue, staff friendly and welcoming, food good, rooms good, parking on site. Would definitely recommend to friends
Really nice decor leading to a nice friendly atmosphere. Comfortable bed with all normal facilities. Easy walking distance to the centre of Harrogate. Free ticket for parking outside is available.
Friendly and welcoming. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts.
Parts of street very dark when walking back to b&b at night.
Hotel very clean and breakfast cooked fresh and very generous. Bed was comfortable, clean towels every day. Very near Harrogate amenities and local National Trust properties which we like to visit. All in all a lovely few days away.
Shower room on the small side and wifi a bit hit and miss
Location and decor very good.
Wifi was not always working and mattress on bed was slightly lower on one side than the other!
Friendly staff, great breakfast, relaxed atmosphere. I was there to attend a relative's funeral and couldn't have had a better preparation.
Provided all the basics to an okay level.
Poor access to limited parking area. Parking spaces too small.
Friendly welcome for a late arrival. Comfortable, and quiet, room and bed. Two towels for a single traveller - a real treat. Great breakfast
Welcome, location, breakfast and cleanliness. Off street parking was a real bonus being so close to the centre of town.
All was fine.
well appointed, beautifully clean, delicious breakfast -particularly that Full English! Proprietor was extremely helpful when we wanted to leave luggage after check-out, friendly, welcoming and provided excellent local knowledge
Really nice welcoming hotel, which lived up to reviews from other people. Quiet part of town about 10 mins walk from station. Comfortable sized room. Breakfast choice excellent. Would stay again.
May be a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries near the basin would have topped it off, but I am being picky!
Location was good, staff pleasant and food ok A nice comfortable bed.
OIur shower could have done with a good clean where the doors were folded. It was really dirty and needed a brush to get into the cracks.
Accommodation was clean, with modern fittings. Staff were friendly.
I had a single bedded room which seemed to be above some electrical equipment which hummed loudly all night; even shutting the window and using earplugs couldn't block it out. There was a small corner wardrobe, but no drawers at all and no table/desk. The TV could do with re-positioning. It's screwed to the wall at right angles to the bed, so the only way you can see it clearly is by sitting halfway down the bed with your back against the wall. I sat at table in breakfast room for more than 5 minutes, then had to go and find someone to take my order.
Big comfortable bed Quite location
The breakfast was very good, the staff were helpful, and the location good in a quiet street 5 minute walk from town.
The bathroom was very small, it was hard to get in and out of the shower.
Arden House is conveniently located in Harrogate, with easy access to the Bus Station and the Rail Station. I was warmly welcomed by the owner/manager, Ms Beverley Kemp. Arden House was very clean and well appointed in every respect. The bed was extremely comfortable and the generous complimentary tea/coffee was greatly appreciated. Arden House has a five star rating for food hygiene. There was a wide choice of food available at breakfast time and the service was swift. The 'full English' is memorable!
I was wholly satisfied regarding every aspect of my stay at Arden House.
Good location for town centre, a good nights sleep followed by a splendid breakfast, served by very friendly staff.
The overall standard was good. Location excellent.
The single room was rather small. Parking is a problem.
Friendly welcome Comfortable bed All facilities good Great breakfast
Noise during night of faulty cistern in next room
Location was very good, close to the centre, and the house itself was clean and well decorated.
Parking was there, but awkward. Food was OK except the kitchen couldn't deal with omlettes. The bathroom was appalling. Perfectly clean, but incredibly small, uncomfortable and with literally nowhere to put your toothbrush, never mind a towel.
Warm welcome on arrival. Main areas modern and airy. Loved the honesty bar and seating to relax at end of day. Beds very comfy.Breakfast, plenty of choice and piping hot. Visited Pump House very interesting. Lovely day out at caves of Mother Shipton approx 10 mins drive. Skipton was great for a canal boat trip about 45 mins drive. Good area to sightsee. Fab thai restaurant in town best food ever with friendly staff. Lots of shops if thats your thing. Very vibrant night life at weekènd for young people in bars and restaurants. Will definitely return to Harrogate and Arden House.
Only thing I didn't like were the pillows in bedroom, rather flat with no body to them. Could do with renewing them.
Good breakfasts Charming Victorian house
Beds were too soft Tiny bathroom Luggage space was limited
One of the best rooms i have had. Very clean and cosy room.
No scenic view from room....but perfection does not exist anywhere! Out shopping etc so not really a problem.
Nice location Friendly owners
Dusty room Inadequate parking
Excellent location and I appreciated the personal touch - advice as to the best places to eat, a lovely big pot of tea for our group when we returned after a day out and a vast breakfast in the morning. The honesty bar was a nice touch too.
My room was on the top floor and it was a bit of a struggle with my suitcase.
