Mark was an excellent host. He also put on a terrific continental breakfast, with a good selection of cheeses! Narrow, steep staircases; low ceilings in room; dusty pillows and duvet (not great for allergy-sufferers) |

The staff were great, breakfast was cool, and I really liked having my own bathroom facilities. It is a tad noisy in the street-fronted rooms, as it is on a busy road. |

All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The free use of a computer in the hall for internet access was also useful! |

Friendly service, clean room with everything we needed, close to the town center, good continental breakfast Not really, the parking is some 100 meters from the hotel but not a problem as it was easy to stop in front of the hotel to pack the luggage |

The place was spotless, lots of tea and coffee available in the room The hotel is situated on a junction will double yellow lines - there is available parking at an adjacent car park but this needs to be known before arrival as you need to get a permet from the hotel |

Local to all ameneties. Clean room. That my room was the store cupboard and I was asked when I was going out so the manager could have access to it, There was no channel 5 on the TV, the neighbours were noisy and by the end of my stay I wanted Bacon, sausage, egg and beans! |

Excellent coffee in pleasant blue-and-white breakfast room. The notices in the rooms, about what guests should not do (soil soft furnishings, flood the carpet, etc.) indicate unhappy experiences by the owners in the past--but the tone was surely inappropriate for most guests. |

It was in a very convenient location for me They would not accomodate arriving late and I was charged extra for this and told if I didn't make it by 10pm then I could not stay. I found the extra charge was unreasonable as the booking instructions stated that arrivals up to 10pm would be accepted by prior arrangement but did not point out the fee. No cooked breakfast was included and the rooms were very small for the price. |

The room was cramped and on the third floor up a steep staircase. The roof sloped down into the room and it was impossible to move around the bed or go to the bathroom without twisting and stooping. There was also a step within the room which was very easy to trip over. In very cold or hot weather this room would be extremely uncomfortable. |
