Nice location, on Gare Loch - and lovely staff. This was good value stay, close to Helensburgh amenities, with easy access to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

The room needed decoration, and the whole property would benefit from some spending.

Bridget and all the staff were very friendly...They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable..We would certainly book at the Ardencaple again. The food was excellent.

The only draw back for me..was climbing the spiral staircase..that was because Ihave Arthritis. .This did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay..I coped..

We chose this hotel as an overnight stop , good quality budget hotel close to Loch Lomond and with views over the Firth of Clyde. Very friendly staff ! Good meal served in the bar and a good breakfast!

WiFi via iCloud difficult. Room needs update

Very friendly and helpful staff, good food at very reasonable prices, spotlessly clean bathroom, comfortable room, ample parking, access straight to the loch shore.

Decoration a bit tired in places. Avoid room 213 if noise bothers you. The room is right next to the extractor fans from the kitchen which run from early morning until 10pm! It didn't bother us but it could annoy others.

A perfect base to visit Glasgow 2014. Meals were good and the views beautiful. Exceptionally friendly receptionist upon arrival.

Bins weren't always emptied. We were on the top floor and the next to top step slopped downwards giving you the sensation of falling.

The location was excellent and the room we were given overlooked the Clyde, with beautiful views.

The hotel needs refurbished and the public rooms need upgraded, with better room flow.

Staff always welcoming. Good value meals although we did not eat there as we normally ate our lunches out during the day. Always busy / lively so obviously well liked by the locals - always a good sign.

Room needs updating / redecorating. Insufficient storage space for more than a couple of nights stay. Stairs could be difficult for anyone with a disability.

    Cooked breakfast was good

Awful drilling noise (extractor fan?) kept us up most of the night. Staff unhelpful and unapologetic. Shower was very poor, no shampoo. 3/10 overall

Bedroom view - lovely staff - friendliness of everyone. Nothing was too much trouble.

Road outside was busy from around 6am but got used to it. Worth putting up with this to have the fantastic room view.
