The staff where very nice
The toilet wasn't clean and in the corners haven't been cleaned full of dust and bed wasn't comfy to sleep me very small room wasn't whst we booked up for toilet wasn't clean
Only stayed for one night while attending a wedding nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We did not use the restaurant but did have breakfast in the morning, the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Myself and my husband will definitely be back for another break.
There was honestly nothing I could find fault in.
Meals were lovely and staff were friendly and helpful.
The room had a lot of dampness around the windows and bathroom. The lighting was poor no main light only table lights which had energy saving bulbs that took forever to light up the room. There were drafts coming through the windows. To pay £80 a night not including breakfast was not worth it. I thought breakfast would have been included.
Bed was comfortable, big room, friendly staff
Room wasn't ready,2nd room offered wasn't ready
The atmosphere, the food and the location
Beds could be a little bit more comfortable but that would not deter me from staying there again
The staff were excellent, they could not have been more helpful. Great choice of food and great value. Will certainly stay again
STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. WE WERE GIVEN EVERY ASSISTANCE AND LOCAL INFORMATION.
Bar shut at 20:00 new years day
The helpfulness of staff. The prompt way they helped when water began coming through my ceiling from the floor above. I was moved to a double room within minutes of telling them. I loved the breakfasts included in the booking. Poached eggs done perfectly.
The plumbing in the room that I was moved to was not that great. Took me a while to find the switch for hot water in the hand basin, the power in the shower was distinctly feeble. My companion did not appreciate the food on the pub menu as she is a wholefood vegetarian.
The decor and style of the bedroom was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Lisa and the manageress Bridget who was very warm and kind.
The comfort of the seating throughout the whole hotel was poor, very hard, could be improved greatly.
good location and friendly staff
new mattress needed for the bed!
Atmosphere and very friendly staff
Did'nt dislike anything. The hotel was conveniently situated and staff very obliging.
The staff were all excellent with fast and fuss-free friendly service. Additionally we ate in the hotel restaurant and found the food was both tasty and superb value.
Lighting in room was poor but overall the Ardencaple exceeded expectations.
Welcoming friendly staff.
Noisy revellers leaving by door near to our bedroom late at night
Charming bnb with a surprisingly spooky past. Nothing Went bump for me at night but the stories were interesting. Staff members were really helpful. Scenic location. Room was clean.
The size of the shower cubicle. I think an average to bigger build person might struggle to get in.
Hotel was considered to be value for money, the breakfast was excellent and provided a wide selection of food.
The room we had was at the front of the hotel, we were aware of the traffic passing the hotel at night.
I was attending a wedding reception at a nearby (very expensive) hotel. In the morning when we were walk in back to get the car from the other one, the weather was awful and far to windy for an umbrella. The lady at the desk couldn't have been more help full. Even offering her own scarf. This is just one example of the way see went out of her way to help.
When we arrived there wasn't anybody at the reception desk and it took some time to find someone as they had a large function on.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice single bedroom, nice location.
Bar food well priced - pleasant location and helpful staff.
Hotel needs a complete refurbishment - bedroom furniture very old fashioned. Quite expensive for the quality.
Staff were brilliant all made us feel really welcome and comfortable great menu and great food at reasonable prices
Particularly liked the very helpful manager Jan who, when she realised we were a mature couple changed our room to ground floor one. we had a very nice meal in the evening and an excellent Breakfast the next morning, served by Jan
I had a little difficulty with the shower but it was probably me rather than the shower!
very welcoming staff and we were given a very quiet room followed by a hearty breakfast each morning.
The staff were very friendly and service good.
It was in need of a manager update, the bedrooms are certainly not welcoming. We had a front bedroom overlooking a loch but the noise from cars made sleep very difficult.
