Ardencaple Hotel by Good Night Inns  

Lovely welcome from Bridget.

Generally poor state of the place. The whole place needs refurbished and some of the stairs, as currently carpeted, verge on being really dangerous. While the service was pleasant the attention to detail was rather lacking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and were very efficient

the room was a bit dark with only two small windows and the electrical lighting was inadequate to say the least other than that all was well.

The rooms were very pleasant and clean and warm, The restaurant was very good and economical

Window would not open in the room.

The hotel is also a pub and holds functions.

The toilet used a saniflo which kept starting up during the night, quite disconcerting!

The Manageress runs a tight ship. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was reasonably priced, good portions standard fare. The hotel is a brisk 15 mins walk to Helensburgh town centre along the shore side...very pleasant.

Our family room was a little bit dark, but did not effect our comfort too much.

Room with sea/loch view. Close to Loch Lomond.

Road noise. Corridor noise. Not very clean.

Excellent location and all the staff were really welcoming. Room and bathroom were very clean. Fast service in the restaurant/ bar area. Overall very good value for money.

It doesn't look the best from the outside but for a stopover I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful location Friendly and good value

Staff were exceptionally friendly. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Food was very good value and well cooked. Location was superb.

No bad aspects to the hotel.

I like it being on the sea front and the friendliness of the staff

Some areas of our room were not too clean a bit dusty in places and found broken glass in the bathroom

The friendliness of staff and beautiful location overlooking the River Clyde.

From the deputy manager who greated us on our arrivel to our departure all the staff went out of thier way to help, nothing was to much trouble.You could tell the the whole staff team were happy and took pride in thier jobs. We had a room at the front over looking the loch, which was excellent.All in all the hotel was a warm and a friendly place to stay. The food was very very good especially the aplle pie.I Would recommend the Ardencaple Hotel to anyone

i live local so know this place well the staff are great especialy bridget she is a charactar,it is clean and comfortable it is a excellant short break hotel to stay in and recomend it to anybody and helensburgh/rhu is a really nice place to visit.

nothing really i think the only thing to let it down is if you have a room at the front as the main rd is right outside and traffic can be heavy at times,but for the best part its not really a problem ( close your window and your fine )

Staff were helpful and courteous, room was very quiet.

It's trivial but I would have liked more lighting in my room .

It is unpretentious and has a great outlook over the loch. It is conveniently positioned on the edge of the town. The staff are friendly and make an effort to look after you.
