Our Courtyard room was a long walk from reception but had the advantage of being well away from the wedding disco which was in progress on the evening when we arrived. The room was spacious and we slept well in the comfortable beds. The swimming pool was warm enough for easy entry and large enough for serious swimming, and the adjacent jacuzzi was great for relaxing tired muscles. Located in its own extensive grounds near the village of Claverdon, the hotel was nevertheless within easy driving distance of Warwick.
The food was of a very high standard but the "nouvelle cuisine" style was not really to our taste. We found good restaurants in nearby Claverdon and Henley-in-Arden.
Location idyllic, staff very helpful and friendly, great selection for breakfast in lovely light and airy conservatory. One of the best. Can't wait to go back.
We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel and spa. The outdoor pool was amazing even at the end of October. Unfortunately we didn't book our table for dinner early enough and the only available times were ideally too early or too late for us,we settled for 6pm and enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was very good, just what we wanted. Would have liked more time to enjoy the spa on our last day but you can only use facilities until checkout at 10.30. We didn't think this was clear when we booked. Overall good visit. Would like to go again.
Can't fault the staff, their attentiveness and service
Non movable shower head in bathroom meant that it was a bit difficult to have a shower.

Limited choice of time slots for evening meal not advised when booking. Eat out in the end due to limited choice at the restaurant.
Lovely hotel set in very attractive grounds and well maintained all round. The staff were extremely helpful and considerate (apart from one issue) and when the occasional matter went wrong apologies seemed genuine; (Bar staff forgot a drinks order on one occasion and the drinks were provided free of charge). Despite several large parties there, weddings/birthdays, we never felt under pressure as hotel guests.
Incredibly noisy air conditioning units in the bedrooms of several of us which, despite being turned off had lives of their own and started up again in the middle of the night. The quality of sleep was, as a result, badly affected. Raised the issue with the front desk but nothing seemed to be done about it.
Evening meal, bedroom and facilities.
Breakfast a little disappointing. Prefer tea and coffee to be available on table than having cups filled by staff.
Swimming pools Restaurant was good value Nice quiet location
The air conditioning wasn't as effective as it might have been, and the room was quite warm during the night.
Peace and tranquillity. Comfortable bed, polite staff. Lovely location Gym and pools.
Food was very average. There were just 2 room service meals that were worthy of choosing. Risotto and fish and chips. I had risotto twice - the first time was quite good but the second time it was 2/3 the size and had cream in it!! I complained to the management and they agreed that cream was indeed added to the dish. As a competent cook and past under-chef, I know enough about food to know that you do NOT put cream into risotto! The remaining meals were most unappetising with strange combinations. The beef option looked OK but at £19:95?? £5 charge for room service tray delivery! This is outrageous on a dish such as the risotto costing £10:95. I was staying on business and had work to do so I didn't have time to go to the restaurant. Admittedly this charge was refunded after I complained about the risotto. Breakfast The range of food and the cooked food was poor which is very disappointing for a hotel which purports to be 4 star. A very limited range of cereals was available. The scrambled egg was watery and overcooked. The bacon was tough and tasted extremely salty and a little as did the tomato sauce which tasted artificial and ultimately rendered my breakfast inedible. Once again, I complained about this. The mushrooms were actually quite tasty. Fruit – there was a small bowl with some melon but nothing else at all! I didn’t see any fresh bananas, apples, oranges or anything apart from a few dried apricots. Finally, breads – apart from fairly standard brown and white bread, there wasn’t much else to choose from other than a very limited selection of croissants, Danish pastries and muffins.
Great location and setting (Quiet) for good sleep on business.
Nothing not tot to like
The spacious rooms and the grounds.Food in the Brasserie was good.
The bed was extremely comfy which I consider to be very important when staying away and a nice thick underblanket on the matress. The surroundings are beautiful. I only stayed one night, had breakfast and a swim in the lovely outside pool
When booking, I was part of a wedding party and we were told there would be a special rate. 5 mins after this was agreed I phoned and was told there was no special rate, because of this I wasn't going to stay at the hotel. I went on Booking.com where I could get a better price so booked it through there. I assume this must have cost the hotel money and in the long run they would have been better off letting me book direct through them?? Oh well, their choice!!!
Beautiful hotel and grounds x
We have stayed at the hotel before for a wedding and we really enjoyed our stay that we wanted to come back! The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The spa and leisure facilities were great and allowed us to relax. We would definitely come back!
The staff were excellent, a very professional yet friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. Congratulations to the owner for managing the staff so well ! The food was amazing, quality, choice, presentation and value highly recommended. Spa areas were spotless and both indoor & outdoor facilities a joy to use. I stayed in a first floor courtyard room and had two wonderful nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. The clever design of the first floor bathrooms with velux windows giving plenty of natural daylight and ventilation (if required)
Nothing to dislike - one tiny little subjective point, could the hotel possibly provide mugs as well as the tiny cups with the tea making facilities in the rooms ?
Hotel grounds & buildings Gym & leisure facilities
No internet access in my room (223) Bar crowed & insufficient chairs
We were at Ardencote for my son and daughter in laws wedding. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were excellent. Couldnt fault it. Thank you.
The food and service was excellent and the overall feel, very welcoming.
The only thing to mention is that due to two weddings there was a little noise, however in a venue as stunning as this, we would expect this on a weekend in July, so it really wasn't a problem
facilities good, room good excellent location
poor service, staff needed training as did not know what they were doing . All staff were very polite and helpful
The golf course and the relaxed atmosphere about the whole place.
We were a party of 4 although we booked on-line separately. At breakfast my wife and I were shown to a table for 2. I requested a table for 4 so that my daughter and partner could dine with us. This was declined and I asked to wait until a table was free and could be re-set. This too was declined. My wife and I started breakfast and my daughter arrived shortly afterwards, she too expressed her dissatisfaction at this arrangement. A more senior member of Staff arrived and saw the issue and positioned two tables for 2 closer together. Is the issue here when you book on line there is no place to state the total number in your party ?
I couldn't fault the Hotel or the service we received
The bed was small for two people, will check bed size first next time, other than that all good . THANKYOU
Location and setting was beautiful !! First class service and staff !! Thank you to all at Ardencote Manor !!
Nothing really !!
Friendly, helpful staff. The wedding organisation was fantastic - everything seemed to run like clockwork. The Creme Brulee was the best I've ever tasted!
Lovely surroundings and leisure facilities.
Being woken at 3.30 am by rowdy locked out guest who was a guest at the wedding below. Noise outside the room from fan.
