The spacious rooms and the grounds.Food in the Brasserie was good.
Beautiful hotel and grounds x
We have stayed at the hotel before for a wedding and we really enjoyed our stay that we wanted to come back! The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The spa and leisure facilities were great and allowed us to relax. We would definitely come back!
The staff were excellent, a very professional yet friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. Congratulations to the owner for managing the staff so well ! The food was amazing, quality, choice, presentation and value highly recommended. Spa areas were spotless and both indoor & outdoor facilities a joy to use. I stayed in a first floor courtyard room and had two wonderful nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. The clever design of the first floor bathrooms with velux windows giving plenty of natural daylight and ventilation (if required)
Nothing to dislike - one tiny little subjective point, could the hotel possibly provide mugs as well as the tiny cups with the tea making facilities in the rooms ?
Hotel grounds & buildings Gym & leisure facilities
No internet access in my room (223) Bar crowed & insufficient chairs
We were at Ardencote for my son and daughter in laws wedding. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were excellent. Couldnt fault it. Thank you.
The food and service was excellent and the overall feel, very welcoming.
The only thing to mention is that due to two weddings there was a little noise, however in a venue as stunning as this, we would expect this on a weekend in July, so it really wasn't a problem
facilities good, room good excellent location
poor service, staff needed training as did not know what they were doing . All staff were very polite and helpful
The golf course and the relaxed atmosphere about the whole place.
We were a party of 4 although we booked on-line separately. At breakfast my wife and I were shown to a table for 2. I requested a table for 4 so that my daughter and partner could dine with us. This was declined and I asked to wait until a table was free and could be re-set. This too was declined. My wife and I started breakfast and my daughter arrived shortly afterwards, she too expressed her dissatisfaction at this arrangement. A more senior member of Staff arrived and saw the issue and positioned two tables for 2 closer together. Is the issue here when you book on line there is no place to state the total number in your party ?
I couldn't fault the Hotel or the service we received
The bed was small for two people, will check bed size first next time, other than that all good . THANKYOU
Location and setting was beautiful !! First class service and staff !! Thank you to all at Ardencote Manor !!
Nothing really !!
Friendly, helpful staff. The wedding organisation was fantastic - everything seemed to run like clockwork. The Creme Brulee was the best I've ever tasted!
Lovely surroundings and leisure facilities.
Being woken at 3.30 am by rowdy locked out guest who was a guest at the wedding below. Noise outside the room from fan.
lesire facilities food
would have preferred option for later check out time
All of the above showed that we were very impressed. Breakfasts excellent. Leisure facility excellent, wanted to stay longer.
No real ale in the bar - but I understand that you do not do the volume at present to justify this. Bar / Restaurant food prices a little high. As a result of these 2 factors, we ate out at local pubs which were fine.
Hotel location and facilities
Poor treatment from staff. They had allocated a wrong room to us and changed it later. Staff we're quite pushy regarding closing time of restaurants!
The staff were friendly and welcoming. Helpful at all times. The rooms and cleanliness were excellent. Beds very comfy too! Pool indoor and outdoor were great. Standard of breakfast was much improved on the second morning, served in the Brasserie.
Breakfast on the first morning was served in the main dining room. Didn't think the choice and standard of food reflected a 4star facility which having payed premium prices and not spa break rates was disappointing.
We thought service was v good. They had lost our reservation but were courteous and helpful. We REALLY didn't like our room (bed too small) and it didn't take much to arrange cancellation and a refund (maybe because the room had been allocated in a rush after they lost the booking). Staff v professional and friendly. So this review is really for a failed stay.
Small bed! Wifi wouldn't stream tv apparently.
The bed was awful!!!like sleeping on a camp bed, narrow, creaked every time you moved in the night so an awful nights sleep! Also the walls are v thin and could hear every word that was said next door-not what you'd expect when paying £150/night!
all staff friendly . good facilities
breakfast food was a bit limited. we needed to book inter connecting rooms which could have been done at the time of booking but which had to be done much later when we booked in
I liked the location and the look of the building, the rooms were lovely and food was great
Well only that I couldn't get wifi
Good quiet location, with good facilities. Wifi was good.
Impersonal feel, not a quiet bar area that I was aware of. Breakfast was average
Location, Rooms (although there should be privacy curtains on the ground floor)
Breakfast was very average. The cheapest bread, canteen style tea (although on request I did get a teapot...for a four star hotel, a 2 star breakfast. Wi-Fi was patchy
Lovely room with good view, good choice at breakfast in a very relaxing conservatory.
That the restaurant was fully booked!!
