We wanted a relaxing weekend to unwind, and that's what we got. The staff were always polite and helpful. The spa was fantastic and the staff were lovely. The food in the lodge was great and again the staff were very attentive and friendly.

We needed a break from what had been a particulrly busy and draining time and this fitted the need well. Our only criticism which we made to the hotel itself was that the restaurant was really expensive and did not represent good value for money. This meant that we ate there only on one night but ate well in neighbouring pubs on the other two nights for under half their price. The hotel was an excellent base from which to visit Stratford and enjoy one of their current productions at the remodelled Royal theatre. Here we ate well again at half the price of the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed everything except the dinner at the hotel restaurant which was very costly. Though we dont ask for large portions- these were miniscule!

I staid there on a business trip, as I to go to the National Motorcycle Museum for a trade show. the room where i was (# 38) was over looking the outdoor swimming pool so i cannot complain; the room was also quite large. the rate was £85/night which is expensive but if you think that it inlcuded breakfast & wifi connection, it's not too bad. You do not have to struggle to park your car. the hotel is also very near to Warwick & stratfford/avon or Coventry so if you fancy a dinner outside it is doable (15 min drive). staff at reception gave me directions to go to the NMM through A roads, thus avoid the ever stuck good old M42 @ B'mingham & it took me 45 minutes at rush hour. Breakfast was ok ; nothing special; did not dinne in the restaurant so cannot comment; did not try the facilities (in door swimming pool or Jacuzi) either. so in short, it is a nice place just 20 minutes drive after J 15 on M 40; good value for money (for business travelers) owing to the above, knowing that hotels near Birmingham airport are usually quickly fully booked & also pricey

All staff very accommodating, flexible and friendly. Spa reception and booking treatments took nearly an hour leaving people waiting at reception. Telephone is busy so it may be worth allocating one member of staff to answer the telephone so that other staff can speed up the process.

We had a fantastic time at Ardencote. The weather was beautiful so we were able to make the most of the outdoor leisure facilities - tennis, outdoor spa pool and the outdoor pool. The hotel was luxurious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The countryside location and the hotel's lovely grounds were ideal for a relaxing weekend away. Can't wait to go back.

My friend had her wedding reception there and the food and room were very good, My main complaint is that I booked a double room and stayed in room 123, It had a queen size bed. This was unsuitable for a couple staying the night and meant that I did not sleep well. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she answered that it did not affect the price. If I bought a double bed and a 4' wide bed arrived, I would obviously have cause for complaint. On reflection I wish I had complained when shown to ther room but was keen to re-join the wedding party, and had I realised what an adverse effect it would have on my night's sleep I would have definately complained at the time, it affected my enjoyment of the following day.I Am considering complaining to Trading Standards as this room mis- represented the facts and request a reply in response to this complaint. It is on the basis of this complaint that I could not currently recommend the hotel.

We loved the building, the spa, our breakfast, gardens, rooms The restaurant food was poor and the man running it was rude. Was horrified to see the cleaner take our cup and saucers and rinse them in our bathroom sink , then towel dry them,

The restaurant and food were superb. All the staff were excellent. There is only a very small bar area which is ideal for the daytime after playing golf etc, but not for night. After dressing up and having a nice meal it is nice to sit in a warm comfortable area for the rest of the night, ourselves and others ended up having taxi,s to Henley where we finished the night off.

The hotel, resturant and spa staff were very friendly and helpful and I felt they had time and patience for every guest as an individual. The hotel itself is set in lovely, quiet, well kept countryside. The spa has everything you need for a relaxing break. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. I should imagine having your wedding there would be superb. I would reccomend the hotel to people and hope to stay again in the future

I like all the different facilities such as in and out door pools, jacuzzi, golf and spa. Beautiful setting with the lake. Staff friendly and efficient on the whole. Having visited several times before, I was disappointed to pay for golf and dressing gowns. We had some problems with meal in the Lodge one evening and didn't feel it was resolved as it should have been. We stayed three nights and if I am very picky it would have been nice to have one more choice of restaurant/bar/brasserie.

The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and accommodating The evening meal menu was restrictive and would have been good to have daily specials as if you ate in the restaurant two nights running you were faced with the same menu

We wanted a quiet weekend and asked for a room away from weddings, which are a feature of Fridays and Saturdays. `Courtyard Rooms` are secluded, quiet and comfortable. Serving staff in `The Lodge` dining room were excellent. Book early for tables as it is very popular.

We really enjoyed using the pool and the hot tub. The hotel is advertised as having wifi, however we now know that this is not the case we had very limited service throughout our stay. I called reception to enquire about this and they said perhaps it was the location of the room.we later found that we could not get connected anywhere on the grounds!! We felt that wifi reception should not be advertised if the service is not there. We have stayed here a few times in the past and ordered taxis to the town centre and back. This time the price of the taxis has doubled we must have spent nearly £80 in 2 days. Before the hotel used to have a firm but it seems like they use another expensive service. This has made us question if we will go again!!!!!

1. Friendly staff 2. Good food. 3. Peacefulness of room. 4. Space to walk around outside. 5. Lovely lake Impossible to activate internet on computer. Inability to book massages etc. as booked up. Surely some preference for residents could be given here? Eggs were very late (too late for me!) at breakfast. No hot water in room. Warm only!

Very pleasant grounds around the hotel for relaxing walk. Excellent breakfast. Dated to my tastes, but in keeping with the hotel overall. Our conference was disturbed by noise from activities outside, but not really a criticism as all windows were open.
