Lovely hotel,very scenic grounds,wonderful facilities-nice country retreat to relax and unwind.

We paid £150 per night_our room was very basic with no pictures on the walls and dull green bedding-also the room was not very big

The hotel is in a nice country setting and is a relaxing place to stay.

The Lodge restaurant was very disappointing, the food was very bland.

I like all the different facilities such as in and out door pools, jacuzzi, golf and spa. Beautiful setting with the lake. Staff friendly and efficient on the whole.

Having visited several times before, I was disappointed to pay for golf and dressing gowns. We had some problems with meal in the Lodge one evening and didn't feel it was resolved as it should have been. We stayed three nights and if I am very picky it would have been nice to have one more choice of restaurant/bar/brasserie.

We wanted a quiet weekend and asked for a room away from weddings, which are a feature of Fridays and Saturdays. `Courtyard Rooms` are secluded, quiet and comfortable. Serving staff in `The Lodge` dining room were excellent. Book early for tables as it is very popular.

Impossible to activate internet on computer. Inability to book massages etc. as booked up. Surely some preference for residents could be given here? Eggs were very late (too late for me!) at breakfast. No hot water in room. Warm only!

Quiet rural location. Decent enough raquet sports facilities and spa.

Internet very unreliable. Staff at all levels need training in basic customer service, rather than being defensive. Strange policies: ask you if you want a daily newspaper, then add the papers to the bill; drinks not purchased at hotel cannot be taken into room.

Very basic hotel. Food in leisure bar was not fitting with a fittness spa as it was curly fries, burgers etc., tables not cleaned.

Very pleasant grounds around the hotel for relaxing walk. Excellent breakfast.

Dated to my tastes, but in keeping with the hotel overall. Our conference was disturbed by noise from activities outside, but not really a criticism as all windows were open.

I wwas celebrating my 80th birthday and the family joined me the stay was excellent and the staff looked after us in a kind and considerable way. Use of the golf , squash, swimming and recreational facilities added to the enjoyment of the occasion. Would recommend the hotel and my thanks to all the staff.

The room and outside spa - next bit follows on from below get our own tea as most staff seemed not to know really what do to. Unsure of role and were looking to this black man to follow orders (sorry don't know how else to describe him) No one even knew our room had taken breakfast as no one to take our room number and we waited embarressing too long for someone to appear to do so before giving up! This is shameful for me as this was meant to be a special gift for boyfriends birthday! Feel that I spent so much of my hard earned money to feel uncomfortable as waiting staff struggling to do their job! Only good service experience was receptionist on check-out at 10.25am! Would like some money back please! Didn't get what I paid for! :(

The receptionist when we first checked in said she would sort out 2 things that she did not - she did not change restaurant booking time as she said she would and she did not discuss the possibility of later check out which she said brusquely she would do "in a minute". Not good and also waited 1 hour 15 minutes from entering restaurant to being served first course. Not restaurants fault as they had not been informed about change in times but on the whole at your hotel there was a severe lack of waiting staff. Noticed same people running between bars and restaurant. We are used to good service and did not get it! It was not comfortable eating in a place supposedly of quality where you can see the staff struggling and at breakfast we had to
