Good customer service. Food excellent, more available if required. Clean friendly. Would highly recommend
Nothing excellent throughout
Position for the city. Bus right outside. Good service. Easy parking. Clean and comfortable room.
Scrambled eggs done in microwave and coffee was very weak.
Hospitality, location, comfort & cleanliness
No decent pillows. Two hard flat pillows stuffed into one pillowcase is not good enough
Attractive breakfast room. Quiet accommodation even though it is situated on a busy road. Quick friendly service. Wi-Fi. Clean.
Room a bit cramped. Bed a bit hard for our liking.
There wasnt a common area to visit
next to bus stop. good parking. good breakfast.
Good location, close to City Centre buses. Clean and comfortable room. Great view of Edinburgh skyline. Good breakfasts. Helpful hosts.
Location is very good. Easy acces to city with bus 23. But no night bus though. So ok for ppl who end their day early. Free parking just outside ( unguarded though)
Firstly we were forced to book for 3 days. The guy gave a room in his attic with a very small window located right outside a busy street. Could not sleep all night since no soundproofing at all. Bathroom outside room, which he never mentions while booking. Worse- the guy charged us the same as all the other much bigger ensuite rooms with internal bathrooms. When we complained he blames booking.com for it. Wifi very weak and works only in morning between 7:00 and till breakfast. He did not even tell us where we should get our bus from, when we asked. And refused to even exchange some change for us, which was necessary to travel by bus. Towels were not changed. Bathroom not cleaned for any of 3 days. In general he did not seen to care when we asked for something. Will Never come back
Owner very nice, prepared breakfast for us as we were leaving at 4:00 am. Parking is for free and safe on the street and you can go into city center by buss within 10 minutes
Bathroom was private, but outside the room.
A quaint place, close to bus stops with excellent breakfasts.
Friendly staff, excellent location-bus stop right on door step to city centre.
excellent breakfast , clean room .
1_very bad wifi services 2_the weather was so hot , I couldn't sleep through the first night . when I asked the staff for a fan they answered my sorry we don't have any!
Friendliness of the staff, the quality of the rooms and the brilliant view
Thought it was overly priced for a guesthouse, other than that nothing was perfect!
Location was great
Had to ask daily for tea/ coffee and milk as it wasn't topped up in our room on any day.
food and accommodation were good. On a main bus route into the city centre which was very convenient. Parking was good
En suite was small and dingy and the carpet in the bedroom felt gritty. Décor in the breakfast room was a little dated
Easy access to bus into the city, room was clean with plenty of room ,breakfast was good
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room no. 2 was quiet. Homy atmosphere.
The bed was a bit hard but still ok.
Great view of the city, lovely breakfast and buses close by
The bed was too hard but after talking to the owner he tried to accommodate as best as possible.
View of the castle from our room. Close to bus stop, short ride to city. Friendly host & nice cooked breakfast.
A great view! A very friendly staff! A good location!
Sociability excellent. Well-mannered and helpful. Breakfast excellent.
A little more attention to removal of dust, particularly from ladder-back chairs.
very comfortable bedroom, clean, with excellent Wi-Fi signal, beds are comfortable, room tidied every morning, staff are very friendly, plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff helped to choose the right transport to get to town and around, explained what is where. The Guest House could not be situated better-it is just outside of the noisy centre, but you can see the castle out of your window! Max 5-10 min on a bus. Plenty of parking space just outside. Enjoyed our stay 100% Thank you!
Warm & hospitable staff, very welcoming & helpful. Close to public transport.
We enjoyed the location it was ideal for our purpose, we were visiting a sick relation in the Western General Hospital. It was easy to get to the city centre. Bus stop outside was a bonus. The interior design, especially in the dining room gave it a real family feel. Overall we enjoyed it.
We were a little unhappy about the Full Scottish breakfast,it was certainly not. There was no Black Pudding, Lorne Sausage or Haggis available. We were told that the foreigners don't like Black Pudding, but we Brits do. The items could have been an optional extra.
We received helpful, friendly and courteous treatment throughout our entire stay.
A large person would find the bathroom/shower space in our room rather small.
