Everything about this B&B is first class - the hospitality, food, decor, walk in shower and the view. The evening nightcap was much appreciated. Wonderful hosts.
Although the beds were very nice, they were too soft,
Warm-hearted welcome Breakfast was excellent! Homemade whiskey liquor The peaceful location Luxurious products
Luxury at every turn both in the amenities and owners' hospitality Gourmet breakfast, dram of local whiskey, Molton Brown, snacks to sustain us Incredible view of the Loch I didn't want to leave and will be back !
Hotel vibrant with enthusiastic professional live in owners providing very high class experience
Some what remote in itself fine but post code not exact which made finding hotel in dark at end of long journey somewhat frustrating
This is a very upmarket beautifully clean B and B. complimentary whiskey and home made scones on arrival. Breakfast quite amazing and very well presented. Thoroughly recommend.
Liked everything really. The only downside for me was that I had a knee injury and was supposed to soak in bath twice a day so requested a bath. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told all rooms with bath had gone. But I coped and we really enjoyed our stay
Breakfast was amazing, as were the fresh scones.
location staff food facilities everything
Warms scones were delicious and complimentary whisky/irish cream was a nice touch. Modern contemporary bathroom, although floor was a little gritty/dusty and needed a proper clean.
Bathroom floor was dirty. Molton Brown products were a nice touch, but were very male focussed in terms of scent and were too big and kept falling onto the floor and the pumps did not work. No public space to relax here, so you are confined to your room which unfortunately doesn't have a patio door or way to access the lovely outside space.
A great location, beautiful views, friendly hosts, comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, great breakfast. All round a great place to stay.
The rooms were gorgeous, the owners very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was to die for.
Beautiful rooms with loch view. Superb breakfast with plenty to choose from. Excellent freebies such as whisky, liqueur, fruit, coffee, plus hot scones on arrival. Deliciously comfortable bed. Really friendly hosts.
No public room in which to sit when arriving back after dinner. Price was higher than one might expect for a B&B, notwithstanding the high quality facilities.
This is an outstanding, unique, modern designed facility... catering to four adult couples... set in the countryside five miles north of Connel. Very personalized attention from the friendly owners. Excellent and varied breakfast menu... set in a very tastefully decorated modern dining area. All facilities very modern, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard of taste and design.
Nothing to dislike here.
The bed was the best and breakfast could not be beat. Karen and Sean friendly and extremely helpful. Liked the location and setting very much.
There was really nothing we didn't like. The thing we missed was a common area other than the breakfast room where we could sit an relax. This would be especially welcome if the weather is bad. Part of the charm of a B&B is meeting the other people traveling and this was only possible at breakfast.
Fabulous hosts and top notch place to stay. Great very comfortable, a must!
Just as great as always.
The place was absolutely lovely, great views , brillant facilities. Sean and Karen where really friendly and helpfull. Lors of little touches which made it such a pleasure to stay there. Especially the free whisky
The only thing I could find fault in was a slightly late check in 4pm but passed the time in lovely pub with views over the loch just down the road.
Location, extra touches, breakfast. Attention to detail with furnishing. Big bed.
Not much, except it was a bit echoey (it perhaps needs some soft-furnishing sound-proofing, to dampen the sound especially in communal areas). I always love a bathtub and quite missed that!
Warm welcome, friendly and helpful land lady, and land lord, safe, good location, and excellent breakfast.
Excellent design & clean Den is great host Offer scotch whiskey & Complimentary room service Food !
Probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and everything about the establishment is first-rate. The rooms are large, immaculate, and very nicely appointed. The communal breakfast, which another reviewer thought odd, was quite enjoyable to us, and it was delicious, too. My wife and I will certainly hope to stay here again on our next trip to Scotland.
The view across the loch. The warm scone jam and cream welcome. The superb en-suite, with a great shower and Molton Brown toiletries. Towels big enough to disappear into. A firm but comfortable bed with gorgeous bed linen. Roses, chocolates and water in the room. Friendly and helpful hosts. The quiet location, only eleven miles from the Oban ferry. One night was not enough, and we are waiting our chance to return.
beautiful house - very friendly owners
