Great location to secc. Lovely little hotel, stayed in room 201 which was lovely after being upgraded from guesthouse due to guesthouse being full...very pleasant surprise x
Nothing really...all was great with our stay...only issue was the wire on kettle was showing but i reported this on departure x
Flexible arrival - was no trouble arriving later than planned.
Older sanitary ware in bathroom.
Familiarity. I am familiar with the hotel.
Location Service Breakfast
Very large room, comfortable beds , very clean .great breakfast , lots of choice
Stairs carpets a bit worn
staff friendly and helpful
room at the top of the building with a dirty carpet
Location is a highlight. Many pubs and restaurants near by.
Breakfast was not included, it was expensive with not too many options.
Nice big comfy room. Clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
The pub next door played its music all through the night till 9 am the next day so sleep was very interrupted.
cold, breakfast could have had better choices as i dont eat english breakfast
the fact that breakfast was separate and we had to pay £8.95 each for it.
Comfortable and clean hotel with all we needed. Room was on the small side but didn't matter to us. Lovely Scottish decor in a perfect location for many attractions. Nearby to plenty of great cafés, walking distance to shops and on the open top bus route :)
good location, friendly staff
poor wifi reception in our room.
The room was a good size for a family of 5 which is very unusual. Breakfast staff were lovely and very helpful as was the night porter.
The bar was closed both nights we were there. The receptionist/manager needs to work on her customer service never even asked if everything was ok when we checked out!!!
Everthing about the property - food, staff, room was amazing, location
Could have done with air conditioning.
Location is good for West End and public transport of all kinds is in walking distance. Room was good and breakfast was very good.Staff are pleasant and helpful.
TV did not work properly. Bath was very high and I had difficulty getting in and out. Bed very squeaky!!! Tables (for two) in dining room very small. Price paid with booking.com was excellent but would not pay full price.
value for money,great breakfast,free parking.helpful staff.
Breakfast and service at breakfast very good
Very Dated, limited Parking although led to believe parking would be available. Had to park on street a fair walk away from hotel. Threadbare carpets We had 1 single 1 Double at a cost of £1450 for 3 Nights. B&B Outrageous ! Although I had expected to pay a premium for accomodation during the games I really felt they'd had my pants down .
A rather simple but quite decent hotel, the room was clean, comfy bed, everything I needed was there and worked well. Good location in the central part of Glasgow. Own car park although it is rather small. Also the staff was very friendly and supportive.
the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Location was well serviced with buses to the city centre.
The rooms were super hot, not equiped for heat waves, but was given a fan when asked.
4 poster bed in Rm 308.
Prices, due to the 300%+ increase because of the commonwealth Games!! No safety deposit box in the room.
Comfortable beds Nice spatious room Polite helpful receptionist when we left
No air conditioning Window almost impossible to open or shut Menu of four items never varied Shower hose falling off wall Toilet seat unstable No lock on toilet door Dining room so dark it looked closed most of the time We paid £1400 for a family room with a poorly maintained bathroom and no air conditioning over a hot summer in glasgow. Being unable to shut the window after it was open was positively hazardous, as was the toilet seat. I understand that prices may have been put up for the games but I was disappointed not to receive what I had paid for and felt it reflected badly on the city of glasgow. At those prices I expect better value, high maintenance and a menu which is varied. Had it not been for its proximity to the games venue and the fact I had children with me I would not have stayed, and I would not recommend it to anyone else. It was a total ripoff
location, breakfast, although I was a single traveller I had a massive room.
The location was good with a vibrant night life just around the corner. Easy walking distance to all transport hubs. The staff were friendly and accommodating with an excellent breakfast.
The room was of a poor standard and in need of modernisation. I would have expected to pay no more than £50.00 for this type of room in the condition highlighted above. The cynic would suggest the price was over-inflated due to 'The Games'. Disappointing and for this reason would not recommend to solo travellers (£160.00 for 1 night was extortionate).
