I even had a comfy sofa in my room..! Home from home when working away.
Upgraded en-suites are welcome. Breakfast. Cleanliness. Quiet. Pleasant staff.
Could do with a towel rail in en-suite.
We liked the comfort and found staff very friendly. Parking was no problem and there was plenty eating places round about, all within walking distance. We were supposed to be staying in the annexe across the road but were upgraded at no extra expense. We would go there again and recommend it to all and sundry. Definitely value for money.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Our room was so small it was claustrophobic. Our friends had a room that was bigger and much better. I would not stay here again.
Hotel is in a good location. Staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great.
Quiet and spacious room. Good choice at breakfast
The hotel was in the perfect location for us travelling to the hydro. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The slanted roof in our room as I am taller than most people lol
The fact that we were in the anex felt rather suffercated. Breakfast was not included but I suppose you pay for what you get.
A bit dated but clean. Easy to park. Near a good pub.
Good location. Friendly staff. Clean. Rooms basic but adequate for comfort. Heavy curtains blocking out the morning sunlight.
The stairs down the Guest House was small and cramped. Carrying heavy or bulky luggage is quite dangerous. Plus the lights down that stairs was either turned off or dim, making it even more dangerous.
Our family room was of good size for older children and breakfast was good.Room was very clean and plenty of tea coffee supplied for family room.
Had asked for quiet room but room at front and noisy from traffic from 4am onwards. Unable to move our room on arrival.Pillows bit hard and no extra bedding in room as was cold later in night. Was supplied with once asked staff for the next night.
Steve and Vicki do all they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Excellent breakfast!
Very clean room, newly decorated bathroom. Efficient and helpful check in staff. Tea and coffee making facilities in room although very basic and kettle minuscule ( fine for me but would have been hopeless for a family of 5) and ancient.
Travelling alone, booked superior double, got family room with four beds. Windows open on arrival so room was freezing and took until about midnight to warm up. Bathroom was tiny. Bed uncomfortable. Decor needs updating.
Staff polite. Room very clean. Good location. Will go back if going to a concert.
Loved the family room we were in. Lots of room and the location of the Argyll was great. Close to the university and park and quick to city center by bus. Staff was awesome and VERY helpful. Breakfast was really good too. I would absolutely stay here again.
Bed was not the most comfortable but I did sleep ok. Otherwise the room was GREAT.
Helpful staff, clean comfortable room, handy for SECC, Hydro and town centre. Excellent breakfast.
Shortage of off street parking
Friendly and very accommodating. Gavin the barman was great got on with everyone in our party
None I can think of
the Argyl is in a very good location, within walking distance of the shopping area and on an excellent bus route, and very close to a lovely park.
Nothing to not like
Argyll Hotel is within easy reach of University and Conference Centre for business travellers. It is also close to the Kelvingrove excellent museum and provides easy access to restaurants and to the town centre. Modest-priced with adequate accommodation and friendly service - so this is my second stay.
we stayed in the hotel in a three single bed room. wonderfully comfortable beds. and a lovely looking room. We managed to get a park outside and a voucher for our car window to stay there. we had dinner in the restaraunt below and enjoyed our meal and service.very nice sized room. We stayed in the main part of the hotel there wqas a guest house across the road with the same name.LOVELY
It may have been dificult to park but not for us.
This is our fourth visit over a number of years. Always a warm welcome from staff and a really comfortable stay. We love the location, close to Kelvin Grove Museum, our favourite museum. Great places to eat that are close by if the hotel dining room is closed.
The decor of room 316
Broken towel rail and lack of interest from the counter staf on my departure
location rooms parking breakfast staff
Hotel was very welcoming, lovely staff, breakfast was amazing! The room was really clean, I did find my bed too hard but that wouldn't put me off staying there again as I really enjoyed being there.
My bed was too hard for me but my son thought his was fine and he had a great sleep.
Helpful staff; good breakfast food range;location
food limited in availability, given nights without restaurant
