Hotel is well located with excellent views and good food. The price is expensive for what you get, you are clearly paying for the location and not the room! The room was very small and tatty and in need of modernisation. The bed was very uncomfortable. |

The welcome was just typical West coast - friendly, polite and utterly charming. The staff are very helpful, the food was first class and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is central and so easy travel around and about from. |

Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful Overall the hotel decor was looking very tired, room, even although we paid for a superior room, was very drab, couldn't open the window as the sash cord was broken. Whilst we appreciated the Argyll is an old building the room was on a definite "tilt" therefore the furniture was on a "tilt". The en suite was looking a bit weary could do with a new shower curtain, was a bit suspect of the mould on it. Carpet in the en suite is not a good idea, tiles are much more hygienic. Disapponted there was no lift. |

Nice, pleasant comfy hotel, staff very friendly. Food excellent. Bathroom had an undesired smell, due to the carpet. Views of the Loch were excellent. Holiday was spoilt by been put in the lounge bar for breakfast on the last morning. Not suitable for elderly people there is no lift, although staff happy to help with luggage. |

Beautiful building outside, lovely staff, amazing location next to Duke of Argyll's castle in picture perfect town, great views out over Loch Fyne It shows its age (as does the town - lick of white paint needed) - perfectly acceptable as e.g. a one night stop off en route to the Hebrides, but missing a trick in terms of room layout (stuffy/old fashioned) and food ("English"breakfast included - in the heart of the Highlands??). For what you pay, would rather do a B&B next time. |

The Food was excellent. The young girl at breakfast and the chap on the bar were good. Did not like the room - it was a loch view but very small - no drawers in the room and very little space to put anything. The reception staff did not seem interested in the guests - a far cry from "budget" Premier Inn at Edinburgh. |

Close to town. Views of Loch Fyne. Breakfast wasn't bad. All other hotels in the area had free wi-find. This hotel was charging £12 a day for it! Room was ok but very dated and small. Shower was leaking onto the bathroom carpet, which was turning black through damp. |

The hotel was good base to travel to other towns in the area and very good for sightseeing. the town itself is avery attractive town. A bit run down and the bar meal menu was rather expensive for what you got. |

I liked the location of the Hotel and even though we didn't eat in the Hotel the Dinner menu looked very nice Being on the shores of Loch Fyne, I thought perhaps the Hotel could make more of serving up a truly Scottish Breakfast, i.e. kippers. The sausages which were served up weren't very good at all. |

The staff were extremely helpful. The food was superb. Outlook magnificent. The room could have been bigger and there was some damp patches on the walls. |

It was nice and quiet in the room. The noisey foul mouthed locals in the bar. |

Nice hotel with very freindly staff in a lovely location. Location of the room was a bit confusing and felt quite remote from the rest of the hotel. |

The setting is superb, lovely traditional Scottish hotel, very relaxed. Public areas could do with a refurb. |
