Arisaig HotelB8008, PH39 4NH Arisaig (Show map) Good, Score from 93 reviews“Comfortable accommodation at a good price in stunning surroundings. I thoroughly recommend the boat trip in the MV Shearwater to the islands of Rhum, Eigg and Muck.”
Christopher,
London
In an area of natural beauty, overlooking Arisaig Bay towards the Isles of Eigg and Muck, this old coaching inn is family friendly and has a lounge bar. Arisaig Hotel was built in around 1720 as a coaching inn. It now has rooms with private bathrooms, most of which offer sea views. The comfortable lounge bar stocks around 70 malt whiskeys. A family friendly hotel, Arisaig has a playroom with many toys. The lounge bar is also suitable for children; they can also enjoy the live music shows in the evenings. Hotel Rooms: 13

Too much expensive! We have paid 160 pounds for our family (2 adults and 2 children) per night. The breakfast time was too late! On Sunday, they started to serve the breakfast at 9:00 (weekdays and Saturday 8:30). No shower curtain and no elevator. I will not recommend you to stay this hotel.

Location excellent for access to Western Isles and local Mountain walking. Decor tired, room quite small, en suite disappointingly not bathroom as stated just small shower cubicle. Staff friendly but rather casually dressed making it difficult to tell staff from guests. Wifi advertised did not work, staff apologised but did nothing to fix it.

Checking out in the morning as there was a lot of noisey activities for several hours around 4AM.coming from above. After enquiring at reception it was said to be staff quarters. The hotel has lots of character and is in an exelent location to explore the surrounding area.

The staff we had contact with and service from were very helpful and looked after us very well. The bar food that we had prior to attending a wedding was tasty, however, my chicken was over cooked (better than undercooked), however, not so much that I would complain at the time or ask for another one to be brought! The style of chips that you are using could maybe be better, they were a bit itsy-bitsy. I asked for chips with my chicken, but got mash. Breakfast was good, however, had to ask the kitchen to turn down the noise of their music - which was done with good grace! The website makes the hotel look lovely, however, I thought we had arrived at the wrong place when we got to the car park. The hotel itself is in need of a lick of paint, and general upgrading / decorating. The bar smelt like it hadn't been painted / decorated since the smoking ban came into place it smelt like stale beer and cigarettes! The bedroom was comfortable, however, room 1 could have done with a shower curtain / screen so we could have a shower. Just having a 'bath' available with a shower attachment was not very convenient. Also, for a room that had a double bed and bunk beds, 3 tea bags was a bit of a cheek considering we were paying £72! Again, at breakfast, the pot of tea could have done with another tea bag in it!!

The views from the Arisaig hotel are stunning, especially if there is a sunset, it's unbeatable. It's a very comfortable and friendly place.

This was a great little hotel! We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the food in the pub was delicious. There was also live Scottish music in the pub the evening we were there which was definitely a treat! We would stay there again!

The hotel was easy to get to. The staff were very approachable and helpful. The playroom was nice as we had a 4 year old with us. Had hoped there would be a bit of music in the bar in the evening but we were not in high season. Food was good. Price was comparable to other hotels. Surrounding area lovely Unfortunately the parking areas had a very uneven surface and someone in the party did fall due to this. Nothing major but it would be better if fixed

The staff was very helpful. The hotel was also very good. We are vegetarian and they were very accommodative in preparing a special dish for us. It was clean and room was decently sized. It was value for money. There was some problem with the room heater. Although they did manage to get it started after some trouble, we were feeling cold at night.

The hotel is ideally situated, with stunning views and beautiful beaches nearby. The rooms and facilities were first class, and the food delicious....especially breakfast. The Crofters Bar is lively and fun too. We'll be back The only slight annoyance was the service in the bar. Twice we ordered things (drinks and dessert) that the staff forgot about...but these were qucikly resolved.

Quirky attic type room with wonderful view of sea and islands. Food in bar good with excellent "specials" available. Breakfast a bit unpredictable with just one lass serving. Not her fault.

A lovely peaceful location. Very nice food. We would have preferred the use of a smart dining room for dinner instead of a 'small' dining area off the bar area. It would have been nice to have the choice of 'dressy or casual'.

The staff was very nice, they tried to help us a lot when a leak appeared in our room and they gave us a lunch bag because we had to leave very soon. The hotel was a little old fashioned but nice anyway and very suitable for families.

Brilliant location in a quiet village ; good access to sails to small isles;staff attentive and friendly. Just needs a bit of refurbishing inside; evening meals in bar were a bit noisy and the dining/ breakfast room did not appear to be open every evening as an alternative. Felt it was just a little overpriced but that's probably because of the idyllic location and lack of much competition.
