Lovely big room, really close to Kemp Town in Brighton for a good night out. Good breakfast in the morning. |

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - and went out of their way to fix any problems you might have. They relocated me without question to another room when I asked, which was impressive. The wifi internet does not work reliably in all rooms. You will have to come downstairs to use it, which an be inconvenient. |

It was clean and pretty quiet for such an urban situation and close to the sea front. The staff were friendly. The room was very good value, excellently prepared and spotless. The ensuite was, relatively, state-of-the-art for such a Victorian, character building. I shall definitely stay there again if needs be. I have never stayed in a hotel before where breakfast was served only between 8.30 and 9.30am. |

the wireless internet did not reach the room i was given, hence no internet connection in room and shouldn't be advertised (the staff was aware that the signal did not extend to the 4th floor). Breakfast included but server from 8.30am, not useful for somebody who needs to work by 9. The carpet in the room was full of spots and looked rally dirty. |

Nice location, friendly staff and reasonably smart and stylish public areas on the ground floor. 1. Seriously understaffed. Just one guy on bar, reception & housekeeping when I arrived; spent 15 mins ringing doorbell & phoning reception before I could get in! 2. No lift; my room was up several flights of stairs (67 in all). 3. It's two hotels in one; the ground and first floors look like a hotel; above that we're talking doss-house. 4. |

The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions I had on the area. I really enjoyed the location being close to the beach, pier, and downtown core. They did not have any wake up call service and the cleanliness of the room was suspect. There were also ants in the basement room in which I stayed. |

It was convenient, internet access worked well. The room was a bit pokey but was cheap. Breakfast only started at 8.30, it should at least at 8. There was little choice, scrambled eggs should have been offered |

Fantastic location - just a few minutes from the sea front and also from some great restaurants and bars. There are a lot of bad reviews about this hotel but I think a lot of them are unfair. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that did not work very well was the telly but I didn't go to Brighton to watch tv!! |

The hotel at reception was well presented but the room I had was the "broom" cupboard. As one when up the building to the attic it the finishes got more and more tired. |

The price of the room Pretty much everything apart from the price. Facilities were poor, the room was not cleaned or finished to anywhere near to an acceptable standard, but then again, it is cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for!!! |
