The Spa facilities are world class, in terms of range, size and layout. The public rooms are luxurious Staff were very couteous and helpful Chef lacked imagination with his vegetables. Many dishes reappeared on the menu. Limited dessert choice (2) |

Lovely public rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Good dinners and breakfasts. Small but well equipped club room. Nice to have free entry to nearby Trotter's World of Animals with falconry display. Very minor point, but having only the choice of a duvet meant that we were too warm with it on, too cold with it off! |

Fantastic surroundings and lovely hotel! Only gripe was for the price I would have expected a full length bath. |

Spa was great. Bed was very comfortable and staff very helpful. Food was good but not as good as expected for the type of hotel, we had dinner in the main restaurant 2 nights one was very good one poor but guess some of this is down to personal taste |

The food was very good. The setting is picturesque and the original features gave a sense of historical grandeur. Hotel had changed from previous visit. Is catering to wider functions/corporate market. Less exclusive. |

Excellent new leisure facilities, efficient staff and beautiful location. The menu for the evening meals was rather rich for a 6 course dinner. |

Extremely warm welcome on arrival. Breakfast & evening staff were very polite, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Food was mouth watering and plentiful. The spa was fantastic. We were made to feel like royalty. The 'hush room' was a v nice touch after a massage. Settled into a snug duvet & drifted away. The therapist was excellent and the treatments were heaven, not rushed at all. The best place I have been to for a spa break! Rooms were serviced very well, twice a day when we were there. It made our anniversary very special and enjoyable. |

The hotel itself has a country house feel to it and is very tastefully furnished throughout. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The meals were excellent. |

The spa and pool are superb. The surroundings are great and is perferct for a get away from it break. The bar man in the cocktail bar was a bit grumpy. I heard a distinct sigh when I asked for a Margarita. |

An amazing luxurious hotel, the spa is the very best I have ever visited. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny! Unfortunately the reason for choosing the hotel was the archery, which they had stopped offering by the time we tried to book it. Their website still says that they offer archery. |

The new spa facilities are top class! You literally can stay there all day. The thermal area and outdoor hot tub are just beautiful. The dinner evening dinner was over priced at 43.99 each! You did get 6 courses but it was not exceptional as we would of expected paying that price and you don't get an option of anything less. Make sure if your planning on eating the meal at the hotel you stay dinner bed and breakfast this makes it worth while. |

The hall itself and the setting, including the views were superb. The 6 course dinner was beautifully served and the staff were more than helpful. A very relaxing experience. We booked a club room and i have to say the room was rather small and had no views of either the lake or the grounds... a pity. |

The grounds of the hotel were nice, most of the staff were helpful and friendly ,the new Spa facilites were very good, After returning from a day out, found our room door was left wide open when I can rang reception, they did not seem to concerned about it,the receptionist did not even ask if there was any thing missing, did not get any sort of appology.Too much is made of the dress code you see people better dressed in a pub. |

We were impressed by the relaxed family feel to the hotel. The ambiance and decor of the hotel preserved the property's historic roots whilst facilitating a relaxed and escapist feel. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble; staff were attentive but not intrusive. An extremely positive experience for my wife and I. |
