Armathwaite Hall Hotel  

Upgraded on arrival as we were on our honeymoon. Champagne and chocolates in the room a lovely touch! Spa was amazing! Food excellent! Staff very friendly and helpful.

It was everything we expected, and was not at all dissapointed,we where upgraded to a suite no cost. All staff very good, food excellent

To hot in the bedroom, and matress not to our liking

The Spa is fabulous. My room was in the annex and I felt that although very handy for the spa, the room needed revamping décor wise. I stayed 6 years ago and the décor is still the same. The contrast with the new spa means that the rooms are a bit depressing. The Lake View Restaurant is fabulous. The brasserie is also excellent in the spa. I would go back of course and I hope the lick of paint and my advice on modernising the rooms a little doesn't detract from a truly magical and special place. Thank you to the staff.

Possibly nicest place my fiancé and I have ever stayed. Incredible in everyday, from the staff to the spa everything was first class. Excellent customer service and we were treated like royalty but in a friendly way. Food was lovely, and the afternoon tea was to die for! If your looking for a special weekend trip then armathwaite hall is your place, even a family trip with children are catered for. Toasted butties threw night are a bonus!

Mattress could do with being replaced and heating in room regulated

Faultless service in an excellent hotel. Spa was a particular highlight for us with a first class gym, pool and heat therapy area. Some unexpected extras such as sherry on arrival and fruit in room added to the ambience in which service was always present but very much in the background. American level service delivered in a very British way - well done!

Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff in all the different activities offered by the hotel.

From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful-everything was accompanied by cheerful politeness. The rooom was very spacious, comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious. Public rooms were warm and welcoming, with excellent staff service. The food was of a very high sdtandard, good choices, well-cooked and beautifully presented and served. It was particularly good to see that everything was included in the price-often in other hotels a separate charge is made for coffee and chocolates. All in all it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in

Very good room and the fodd and serrvice I the Bistro.

Noisey children. The main restaurant only offer a set meny at £44.90 per person. So if you wanted a couple of courses then it made it very expensive.
