Excellent value for money, immaculately clean, modern bathroom facilities, family feel. Very pleasant staff, I would book this hotel again without hesitation. It is situated on a busy road so inevitable traffic noise, however this is part of its good location close to the city centre and didn't bother me too much. The train line also runs directly behind the hotel which didn't annoy me but might bother some people.

Breakfast was good Room small, cold and musty. Cleaning of general area should have been completed before guests came down for breakfast. Unmanned reception.

Not a lot. The price was reasonable and it was a place to sleep. That's about it really. I had a single room. Although it was clean and warm, it was tiny. To get to the wardrobe I had to move the only chair into the middle of the room and edge round it to open the wardrobe doors.I'm not a big person, 10stone seven pounds and male. For someone of more generous proportions it would have posed a real problem. I only saw two members of staff. One looked down his nose at me and said the receptionist would be along shortly. I paid for my room on arrival. I was told breakfast on Sundays is from 8:15. My meeting started at 8:30, 15 mins. Walk away, so I opted for the continental breakfast. It was awful. Delivered at 11:00 pm on Saturday evening it consisted of one small, stale croissant, a packet of cornflakes with warm, longlife milk, a small apple and a packet of four ginger biscuits. A tiny cup for tea or coffee was in the room.

Although the room wasn't as clean as we would have liked, (we found a make-up brush and a malteser under the bed) it was excellent value for money and the main bits of the rooms were clean. We would have struggled to get a 3 person room with breakfast for the same price anywhere else in St Albans.

The above list doesn't really fit the bill! I just needed an overnight stay and discovered the hotel on line (quite an achievement for me as I've had to get to grips with the computer since my husband died last August). The hotel turned out to be just right and if/when I visit St Alban's again I would certainly choose Ardmore House and have already recommended it to friends. An added bonus was the proximity to the centre and thank you very much for allowing me to leave the car in your car park while I went exploroing. A most enjoyable stay..

We came for my friends wedding (i was maid of honour) The garden was lovely and the wedding itself was stunning. They did a great job to accomodate the bride as she can be quite demanding. Everything was great and especially the manager Joe, he was always there when we needed him even through all the nerves we felt relaxed and at ease during the whole day. Thank you The reception staff were cold and they didn't have the front of house down to a tea yet. A bit more friendliness would have gone a long way, especially when thats the first impression on arrival. It was a wedding - a bit more excitment and a few smiles would have been great when the guests arrived.

A very clean hotel with friendly staff. The hotel was in a residential area and nice and quiet but also only a five minute walk to the city centre. I would reccommend the Ardmore house hotel to my friends and family and I shall be using the hotel again.

The room was a family room , hence very cramped and in an old part of the building . The shower didn't work properly and leaked badly at the bottom and couldn't be secured properly at the top . This was because all parts were worn out . This room shouldn't be let again until a new shower is installed .
