Arora Hotel Manchester  

Being in Princess Street, the Arora is brilliantly central but not on top of Piccadilly Square, which was very good. The staff are very friendly and professional and the rooms were smart, clean and well furnished. Can't comment on the bar and restaurant as we went out for meals etc. Will definitely stay there again. The architecture in Manchester is second to none - don't forget to look above street level!

The location is good and breakfast was an enjoyable experience.

The food, room service and breakfast were quite expensive and very basic. Not really impressed with the food.

I use this hotel regularly when travelling/working in Manchester and it fits the bill perfectly for such a visit. Location - can reach any part of the City with ease although the immediate China Town area has become increasingly dirty and unkempt over recent times. This is not however representative of the hotel! Accommodations are well presented, neat, clean and tidy and very comfortable. Although provided with adequate tea/coffee making facilities the hotel could make that short leap and maybe have biscuits/similar available - would be a nice touch.

Whilst the accommodations at this hotel are excellent the basement restaurant does not I'm afraid meet the same high standards particularly in so far as the menu is concerned (it's overly expensive too). Perhaps consideration should be given to ensuring the availability of good proper food rather than the fancy presentation that I endured! The staff could also show a little more interest in what they are there to do.

Excellent central location. Around 5 minutes or so walk to Palace theatre. Trams/main shopping area within easy reach. Many places to eat nearby. Across road from the Art Gallery and China-town. Very helpful staff. Room very clean and comfortable, especially the bed which wonderful! Had a room at the side of the hotel which was surprisingly quiet so had good night's sleep. We did not have breakfast or evening meal so cannot comment on the food, but it seemed reasonably priced for a hotel of this type. Around 15 mins walk from stations but there is a free bus (no.3, I think) that stops across road back to Picadilly station. A very pleasant stay. Would happily book this hotel again.

Just a very minor comment - water for bath could have been a bit hotter in the late afternoon, but shower was hot so not really a problem. Otherwise, everything was excellent!

Great location - very central - close to shopping & transport links. Stylish, very comfortable hotel.

convenient location, good price for a one night stay

on arrival one receptionist tried to send us away at checkin time at 2pm saying we didnt have a room ready till the evening so go away and come back later! we had been traveling up from surrey so been on a coach for 6 hours, we then went to toilet got changed and then spoke to another receptionist who said our room was avalible if we had had to go away we would have been very dissapointed but luckly we spoke to the other man. restaurant is lovely but a bit cold so need a jumper! apart from that would go again the other receptionist were great...

Our check in was at 2pm, but we arrived in manchester very early, 8am and after our breakfast in the city, we went to hotel to see if we could check us in early as we had left dublin at 6am that morning and were exhausted, they happily facilitated us and saved us a lot of hassel waiting arount the city, while trying to entertain 2 children, rooms very clean and modern and suited us perfect. We had a two double bed room as 4 of us staying there.

We actually were not at the hotel much as only in manchester for a football match so out most of the time, not really suitable for children I think. And the price was very expensive.

Good location within the city centre, convenient for deansgate shops and bars. Very close to st peters square metro stop.
