Good atmosphere in the bar and very attentive staff. the room was not ready depsite not checking in until 5.30pm. |

The beds were very comfortable & bathroom was very nice. George the consierge was very polite & helpfull with directions. The attitude of the receptionist on arrival was not what i would expect from a 4 star hotel. I wanted to pay cash for my room on arrival & she refused to take it said that it was company policy to take the money from the credit card that the booking was made on plus a £50 reserve of funds incase of any damage to the room. After a lengthy conversation in front of other guests the cash was eventually accepted but the £50 reserve was still put on my credit card. Lack of tea,coffee & toiletries in the room plus the tv didn't work due to the digital switchover was the reason given, this had happend a couple of days prior to our stay. Overall not a good first impression for a 4 star hotel. |

Room was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful Room service limited to sandwiches late on, with no food at all (even crisps) available at the bar after 11pm. Website advertised the room as having a mini fridge, however this was only a cooler and did not work when we got there. |

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast was good value with a nice choice of hot and cold items Didn't like the tv in the room (old). Found the hot water supply was erratic and not very hot |

I loved the fact that our twin room had 2 double beds. The bathroom was lovely. Everything was very clean. We had a great stay, will deffinately come back. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go too! |

Good location, ten minute walk from Picadilly and close to Canal St. Well equipped room for motability impaired. Friendly staff and smart hotel Very warm room despite a cool late October evening and the air con on full. The lights on the air con control were bright LED's and at bed height which lit up the room. |

Centrally located for art gallery ,football and shopping, with pleasant,helpful staff. reasonably priced on the special offer. The beds were too soft and the pillows were uncomfortable |

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and nicely styled. The speaker in our shower room did not work sadly (602) No major inconvenience but I have stayed at the hotel before, so knew what I was missing! |

Really comfortable, well-designed room, great to have proper curtains so it was dark for sleeping, and sensitive air-con so the temperature was always what I wanted. Nice design touches so it felt more than budget, without being OTT luxury. Great location, and delicious room service. All staff really friendly and eager to help, though one did tell me wrong info (see below). One staff member told me completely wrong information about where I was going when I asked for directions. The wet-room approach to the shower was annoying, because after you've had a shower, you can't go to the loo for the rest of the day without getting wet feet. Seems silly as there's easily enough room in the large bathroom for shower screens. |

The Rooms were Top quality and staff was excellent. The Down stairs bar was really relaxing and the cocktail was amazing. We Lived like kings for the night . I would recommend this hotel and i will be going back. |

It was close to the city centre and eating places. I thought the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Particularly those who provided room service. Also the consierge, George, was most friendly and helpful. Only one hand towel per room was insufficient particularly as my daughter had undergone a medical procedure on her eyes and it was vital she did not get an infection.I was very surprised that a 4 star hotel advised that this was standard. It was also not possible to get a meal on Sunday evening as the restaurant closed at 6 p.m. In addition we were overcharged for one of the nights we stayed. Instead of £109 we paid £178. This is a matter I will be dealing with when I return to the hotel today.In respect of the reception staff, although very nice, they sent us away at 1.40 p.m. and said our room was not ready. When I asked which room we would be in, they said they did not know, they were also booking in other guests. |
