The newly refurbished room was compact but perfect for a 2 night stay. Lovely en suite. Nice hospitality tray, with biscuits and fruit. The choice at breakfast was outstanding, better than some of the bigger hotels I've stayed in.
The glass door to the en suite baffled me, there was a danger of walking into it in the night, so I had to leave it open. For a longer stay, more drawer space would be preferable to living out of a suitcase.
room was ridiculously small and a normal sized adult could not comfortably fit in the bathroom cubicle. very shabby fixtures and fittings
Warm caring welcome and pleasant comfortable surroundings. Fixtures and fittings were of high quality. Very good location in Bloomsbury area, Covent garden and Oxford Street 15 minute walk. Breakfast was fantastic - what a choice of cooked, pastries, cold meats and cheeses. Brilliant!
Room 1 (triple room) admittedly small but fine for a short stay, and room well laid out.
Price, good breakfast, very convenient for transport and good restaurants.
Ventilation not so good, window difficult to open.
The hotel is in a really convenient location a short walk from Euston. It's a really pleasant hotel. The rooms are small but everything you need is in there and all very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and very enjoyable and the staff are all very nice and helpful. I will certainly stay there again.
We went to London to see Jeff Tweedy in the London Palladium and to visit the Royal Academy. The hotel was conveniently located for both venues. It was clean, comfortable and good value for money.
The television in our room did not work. Fortunately, this was of no great concern to us. Otherwise, everything was fine.
I stayed in Room 9, a single room nicknamed the "cupboard". Although compact it was perfect for my stay and very comfortable. The shower room is great. The decor is tasteful and I liked the fresh apples in my room.
I have nothing negative to say.
Couldn't fault the service
Will ask for a room on a lower floor next time
Not a lot
the treck up 60 odd stairs to the top of the house, then the broom cupboard that was my wife and I's room. 12ft x 7ft approx. In that there was a pod they called the bathroom 4ft x 4ft with the shower toilet and wash basin in this pod. You sat on the loo and your knees touched the door and you had to get out of the shower (pod) to dry yourself.Don't blink at breky you will miss it 1bacon 1 sausage 1 egg 1/2 tom 1rnd toast. £125.00 down the drain. Walk passed sleep in the station.
This hotel was perfect for our stay in London. We could walk to most attractions and it was near to the theatre district. The hotel itself was stylish and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious.
The cosy style and decor. Kind and friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast!
Quite small room and bathroom.
There was simply nothing to dislike!
Nicholas and his staff are very helpful and friendly The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and is nice and clean My room was very comfortable and had recently been refurbished to a high standard Very good breakfast
Nothing Would definitely stay again
Warm atmosphere, great location, friendly people and excellent breakfast
Rooms very hot, ability to open windows would have been good but that's the only negative
Welcome; friendly staff. Breakfast - good variety, excellent coffee, perfect service.
76 steps from breakfast room to bed room, with surely the tiniest bathroom in the world.
Excellent location, staff,... and an outstanding breakfast (great fruit salad).
the only thing that you might have to consider (if you are old or have problem with one leg) is the step to get (in and) out from the compact en-suite (although it might have been only in the single room I stayed)
Breakfast: All you could want, delicious and well taken care of. Juices, milk, yogurt, paestries, cereals to choose from, different salty things that changed everday, plus cooked hot stuff like eggs, sausages and others on demand. And I am sure I forgot some other ones! Plus having the owner being there makes you feel even better! Decoration / interior: lovely place, old style paintings and general furniture makes you feel like in small museum. Small details: 3 or 4 complimentary apples and a bottle of water in your room, everyday. Awesome touch!
Size of the room. Of course every square meter in London comes at a premium, and considering the excellent price you are paying for a good location and great decoration, something has to suffer and that's space. To be more specific: There's no room on either side of the queen bed for luggage and you. Only one can fit there. Bathroom feels equally small. Printinge service: Again getting a cheap place in London demands some extras, but I think half a pound per printed page feels too much. I guess you lose more in customer satisfaction than what you win in money with the printing. Specially since all other hotels I stayed in Europe for the same price level offered it for free.
Location, decor, bed, bath, staff, TV, Wi-Fi, breakfast were all excellent. Value for money was excellent, too. For an intellectual interested in museums and art, the location is great--close to the British Museum in Bloomsbury and on a bus line that takes you straight to Trafalgar Square and thus the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery in ten or fifteen minutes. Ditto the theater district and the Royal Opera House. Plus you're right across the street from the best Waterstone's bookstore in London, surrounded by the University of London.
If what you're looking for is an excellent budget hotel, I can't think of anything you wouldn't like about the Arosfa. That's why it's very hard to book a room there. The word has been out for a long time. Plan WELL in advance and stay there.
Excellent hosts from start to finish , free internet , great location for Euston Station and Central London. Clean and comfy , value for money . Would stay here again the hosts go that " extra mile " to help you. Nice selection at breakfast , although no mushrooms for the standard full breakfast . This is a honest repensentation of the hotel.
No proper bathroom , it was like a port a loo with a shower in a cubicle, no toothbrush and tooth paste as standard . Step out of cubicle was not good either . They are however upgrading the rooms at present. Very small room for two , no draws , abit dark too. Very warm too. Not a suitable hotel for guests with walking difficulties due to the stairs .
Location Good breakfast included Helpful staff The room was small, but well arranged and recently refurbished
All the staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a room right at the top of the building, which, as they tell you beforehand, is compact but very nicely presented, clean and very quiet. The hotel is in a super location, 5 mins walk from (and on the same road as) Euston Square tube station and 20 minutes walk from Trafalgar Square. Breakfast was good, it's a sit-down affair where you can have a full English or just order whatever you want with the waitress rather than fighting your way through a buffet. There's also a table with continental breakfast items on, I didn't look too closely at this but there seemed to be a good variety. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here, its a really good place to use as a base when having a few days in London an well worth the (very reasonable) price tag. Highly recommended.
Great staff, cosy family hotel, excellent location close to King's Cross station & the city centre. Lovely room, very nicely decorated and designed (much better than the pictures would suggest). Water pressure is good, nice shower, clean. Breakfast was amazing! Plenty of and delicious! A hidden gem.
The hotel is a nice package. The location, staff and overall facility are good. Although there's no lifts in the hotel (guess it's typical of a townhouse), the flights of stairs weren't too bad given my room was on the top floor.
The single room I was given was tight, to say the least. Granted, it's a single and they did make an effort to make it comfortable, the bathroom was rather like a wet room and there's no way it accommodates anyone who's taller than 5'8''! A proper shower will be highly appreciated.
The breakfast was a complete surprise, absolutely delicious, original and imaginative. A wonderful change from greasy fried eggs and tinned tomatoes.
I would have liked a room away from the busy road, put the owner closed the window and the double glazing was very effective.
Very-very small room, noise from the street
